It was our 4th year visiting the Dominican Republic with our family to celebrate Christmas and year-end holidays, and this year we absolutely loved our experience at Ocean El Faro. The rooms were excellent, check-in was smooth, and the pools—especially the lazy river—were a huge hit with the whole family. We had a very special stay thanks to the entertainment team led by Marcos, who truly made our experience unforgettable. We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it incredibly meaningful—thank you! We also enjoyed spending time with our kids at VILAS Tennis Academy, which was outstanding. The facilities and the staff, led by Sergio, were fantastic. Food and drinks were great throughout our stay. Breakfast was made extra special thanks to Juan at the omelette station and Maria at the juice station—always welcoming and attentive. Evening shows were also excellent, including the Michael Jackson show, magic show, violinist, and silence party. Overall, Ocean El Faro is a wonderful resort for families—perfect for relaxing, disconnecting, and enjoying quality time together. We will definitely come back!

Trip to Ocean El Faro was amazing. Great service, friendly staff and the pool was nice! Reception staff Evelyn was very kind and helpful. Things to improve on for the resort, have designated smoking area instead, there’s people smoking in the family section with kids around. Also wish there was room service 24/7 to have late night snacks. Bowling alley was also kind of run down with the machine not working properly. The reservation restaurants are impossible to get a booking, says its all booked up but when we look outside the window the restaurants looks pretty dead. Otherwise pretty good resort and pretty good experience overall. The resort looks beautiful!

I just wanted to take a moment to leave a huge thank you to the pool staff for the incredible care and attention they gave us during our stay. From start to finish, the service was absolutely outstanding and genuinely made our experience so special. A very special mention to Justine, John, and Berwin – you were all amazing. Every single day you went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and well looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and you always greeted us with the biggest smiles and such a positive attitude, which really made a difference. Whether it was helping us find the perfect spot by the pool, checking in on us throughout the day, or just having friendly conversations that made us feel so welcome, your kindness and professionalism truly stood out. It didn’t feel like just great service – it felt personal, genuine, and caring. You are a real credit to the hotel, and it’s staff like you that turn a lovely holiday into an unforgettable one. Thank you for creating such a relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable poolside atmosphere. We will genuinely miss seeing you every day and hope to return again in the future. It was our first experience at an all-exclusive. The resort was great for our family of 3! I would like to highlight the bartender, Victor who works at the bar in the lobby. He was so polite, professional and someone who truly loved his job. The care he took in making the expresso drinks and his customer service was outstanding which made us feel welcome and comfortable in our first time. I would recommend him for an employee of the month award if you have such employee recognition program at the resort. He would totally deserve it. The foods at the most of the restaurant and at the buffet restaurant were flavourful, many varieties and of great quality. We would definitely return and recommend this resort to others families and friends.

We booked our visit as a last minute trip during winter break. Despite the resort being mostly full, we were able to find availability and even more fortunate to be able to upgrade our room when we arrived. The grounds were lovely and service was great, especially from butler Deiby Santana. He went above and beyond to help us. The room was nice but definitely had a musty smell. Food was good but not great. I had hoped there would be options for Dominican dishes. Overall, we were happy with our visit and would recommend Ocean El Faro.
