If you plan on booking here I would suggest you read!! Let’s be honest if you have travelled anywhere outside of North America you need to understand life is slightly different and you will need to navigate. The pros - the outside of the resort is amazing, the beach, the pool great. Highly recommend spending a bit extra and having a beach front dinner it’s excellent. Pizza at lunch is a must, Japanese and French, if you eat at the buffet line up at the hot plates. Learn to tip it goes along way, everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were fine, for the cost - sure could use some upgrades but nothing horrible that the view didn’t take away. The pool and resort activities were excellent and lots always happening. The cons - there is really no amenities in the room, no beer or alcohol, cleaning needs improvement the girl came in the room daily and made the beds but often left towels on the floor and did not even take out garbage. There were no decor on the bed daily and even though we said we were on a honeymoon nothing was done for us. Our biggest complaint was the buffet, all other things were not a big deal. I think the owner / managers need to read the consistent feedback and implement some tweaks overall it’s worth the price of paradise for a week. If you are a complainer and have high expectations I’d suggest perhaps you move along. If you want a week away and can navigate the Caribbean time, and enjoy the pool and beach amenities you will be fine!

Terrible hotel.. I don’t even know where to start. I see the same complaints dating way back in these reviews and nothing ever changes. It’s such a shame because the location and everything outside is beautiful. Clearly nothing will be done to fix these issues, so I highly recommend steering clear of this place!! In case you’re still not convinced, here are just some of the things we dealt with on our week long stay. When we arrived the first day, checking in took forever. We got to our room and it had a bad smell and wasn’t clean. The first morning I went into the bathroom and there was a giant cockroach on the floor. The toilet only flushed sometimes. The showers were cold most of the time. The shower bar and the toilet paper holder both broke off of the walls. Housekeeping didn’t hardly clean at all. We needed towels and toilet paper but when we called to get some to our room, it never came. The AC didn’t work well and we called countless times about it and no one ever came to help and I had a young child in my room. The second night, I got food poisoning from the buffet and ended up throwing up. The food here is terrible, the only good food was the pizzeria and the Japanese restaurant but a lot of times it took forever to get food/drinks. The soda here is ALWAYS flat. Most of the time the water they serve is warm. They will give you a menu at the restaurants but then a lot of times when you choose something they say they are out of it. They will serve you plates that are missing items they’re supposed to have. If you call the front desk with literally any problem they will do absolutely nothing. Some staff were friendly, but some were very rude. So so disappointed in this trip. While on vacation I shouldn’t have to worry about what I can eat for my next meal without getting sick, or bringing home cockroaches!!!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX THIS PLACE. It is very clear the people running this place only care about making money, and not taking care of their guests. Do better.

We had an amazing time at this resort! The entertainment was fantastic, the drinks delicious, service mostly great, pools phenomenal and beach access beautiful. The only downside was the food. The food was pretty bland and not what we expected for a resort. The same thing was served at the buffet every day. There was a poor selection of fruit which I thought would be abundant. The best thing in my opinion was the cream of wheat and the assortment of homemade breads. The French Restaurant was by far the best…highly recommend the French Onion and Lobster Bisque soups. We had the best time at the foam party at the pool and watching the Micheal Jackson impersonator at the open air theater! We did the buggy excursion that takes you to a cave that you can swim in (this was an amazing experience) and the catamaran excursion. They were overall pretty fun but be prepared to get bombarded by people trying to sell you stuff. There are not prices listed on products…they haggle with you on everything. The rooms are dated but comfortable. The facility is beautiful and the pools are seriously amazing. For the price we paid it is hard to complain about anything. We would definitely recommend this resort!!

This resort was a bit older (I've heard, it's the first I've visited in DR). The beach was fantastic, truly a paradise. People of all backgrounds and ages, couples, families, and friends. We relaxed and did our own thing, splitting our time between various pools and relaxing under palm trees in the gentle breeze. What made it special was the staff, always happy pleasant and helpful. We don't really know more than a few greetings in Spanish, but our hosts would help us learn a bit more, offering coaching before switching to English. I witnessed German and French by some staff, certainly all will feel welcome.

4 night stay with my husband and myself, kids stayed back in the states with Grammy. If you can look past the cons, you will have a wonderful time! We traveled to a few other countries, usually with our children, so we are not very picky. Pros: 1. The most kind staff we have come across 2. The buffet was not that bad to us. The fresh hot service staff know how to cook/grill/Sauté really well! 3. The spa staff was truly unbelievable, we had couples massage 2 times and the two therapist really helped us with our aches and pains! 4. Lots of chairs by the pool and plenty of shade for all on the beach. 5. TRY THE PIZZA 🤤 6. Very clean around the hotel rooms and landscape. I probably could go on, but that is what was most noticeable. Cons: 1. A/C SUCKS never went down past 78f (26c), probably you don’t truly have control, we even set to 10c and never went down past 26c 🥵. 2. Coffee machine didn’t work in our room 3. Minor mold around the bathtub There might be one or maybe even two more cons that I’m forgetting to mention. Like I said, if you can look past the cons, you’ll be looking forward to coming back like us!
