Wow this place is a gem you must visit The staff is always making sure that you feel good about your stay. We stayed for 8 days and everyday was a top notch experience. 1-The Rooms are always clean every morning by cleaning crew. 2- the restaurant food is really delicious and staff is very friendly, The buffet food was always fresh and hot. Joselito is the man 3- the animation team is always making your stay fun CHOCO te amo mi amor 🫶🏼 ice-cream and roba la gallina are always making the guess feel welcome at the pool with the great supervisors Damaris and Hazel. 4- lobby Bar staff by pool 2 are the best mi amiga Rafaela, Christine (pregnant girl) and the rest of the team work around bar helping everyone get their drinks quick. 5- the Premium team was always making sure our stay was pleasant at the resort. This place makes your days fun with all the activities from your start of your day. 6- the lobby actives are fun at night follow by the theater show. 7- Pool 2 outside bar staff and Manuela are the best always making sure we had cold drinks 🫶🏼🍻🇩🇴 Thank you occidental caribe team for making our stay pleasant during our stay. This resort is under staffed, service is pretty much non existent. The outside gardens, grass pools and beach is very, very well kept and clean. But that is where anything good ends at this resort. Food is brutal, service is even worse. Maids didnt change sheets the 10 days we were there. Had to ask front desk for towels because none were left a few times. Room service showed up 3 times at 6 pm. Entertainment was also non existent. When the few nights they did get the crowd into it they shit everything down because the disco was gonna start soon. (That no one went to). No 2 drinks were ever made the same. And as weird as it sounds most of the drinks had way to much alchohol in them. And I'm a drinker, but I also like to enjoy my drinks. Dumped alot of them out. Like I said one vacation to this resort was one too many. . Its stated as a 4.5 star I would honestly rate it no more than a 3 star.

We booked this location for 14 days. Our dresser was broken in the room they gave us which would have been lovely as it had a quiet garden view. They moved us to a room overlooking the noisy (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m) activity pool which spoiled any peace and quiet (we are a young 80 year's old). The plumber had to be called twice due to a non-flushing toilet and on the 3rd maintenance call, they replaced the toilet. Outside the grounds were beautiful and very well kept and we loved the jacuzzi pool and the staff was wonderful in any place we went. No complaints about the food from the buffet restaurant to the specialty restaurants. All was delicious. The ocean walk was lovely and you do have to go down to either ocean or pools early to get your chair reserved with a towel or they are gone by 10 a.m. I think next Caribbean holiday we go on it would be to a smaller resort and perhaps not near the activities. But if you are young and wanting those activities, you will enjoy it.

Pros- best beach around, beautiful pools and grounds. Enjoyed the food, especially the breakfast, pizza, a la cartes and the grill at the beach party. Drinks, can't go wrong, lots to choose from. Foam party was so much fun. Cons- some rooms need some work. We had a leak in the bathroom, kept on waiting on maintenance, finally we got a new room which was a beautiful upgrade to a pool/oceanview. Keep your beach towels because often they are out of clean ones.

Really great view, beautiful beach with plenty of space for everyone. The hotel is clean and the staff is amazing! Look out for Ruth, Ana, Omar and Elizabeth at the bar, you will have an amazing service. They made our stay 100% better. Super friendly. Looking forward to come back!
