During my stay at the hotel, I found the room spacious and aesthetically pleasing, But there was a persistent foul smell, reminiscent of sewers, which made it difficult to sleep. It was horrible !! I was disturbed multiple times at night due to the strong odor, I even tried to open the balcony in an attempt to get rid of it. Unfortunately, even with the balcony open, the smell remained overpowering, making my eyes water.
-Despite booking a room with an ocean view, the view was disappointing.
-The food did not meet my expectations, lacking in quality. However, the staff were friendly, and I appreciated the good drinks. Overall, my experience was far from exceptional.

An absolute joy. Couldn’t have been better. As i have several Diet restrictions I was nervous but I needed have worried, at each meal either Chef Carlos or Chef Gabriella made sure I knew exactly what I could eat and even prepared special meals for me. Bedrooms were spotless and bedding first class. The whole resort was spotless.

The positives- the reception area is stunning. The pools are great. The bottom pool overlooks the sea which is beautiful. It has amazing access to a little beach/cove which was perfect. The bar staff are amazing. The food is really great and different each day. There is outside tables to eat that provide a lovely atmosphere.
There was always availability on sun beds (though you might be in shade). It has a nice child pool/play area bit.
Its a great location to be close to magaluf but far enough out to be chill.
The negatives- if your room is in block 1 it won't be great/have great views/be great quality. These rooms are quite far from everything.
The animation team are actually really unhelpful and sometimes quite rude! The night entertainment is just them dancing to different songs, which was very underwhelming compared to entertainment other places.
There is no parasols so you're either in the sun or in the shade all day.

Excellent All Inclusive stay at this hotel. Food was very good, lots of fresh fish, meats and different choices every day. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The mussels and prawns in the Paella were obviously fresh and very tasty, maybe this is common in this area, but hard to find in England.
Overall the hotel is a little quirky in its setup due to location and spacing across a cliff face, but it makes for a more interesting stay. The room was perfect, nice bathroom, large comfy bed and a beautiful balcony sea view. We had a front sea view room.
The main bar was always well staffed and queuing was never an issue. There was a good choice of drinks for all inclusive. Night time entertainment was always very funny. The entertainment team did an amazing job!
Location right next to a little beach cove is a big plus. You walk from the pool area right onto the beach!
We would definitely return to Occidental!

Only a few beds ever get any sun, all day. Couldn't get in the pool as always in the shade. Long way to dining hall from rooms. Nice size rooms. Hotel right up out the way and no coastal walk to get anywhere. Very hilly. Wouldn't go again.
