The island it absolutely beautiful and a true laradiy. It's a stunning resort with amazing facilities. The room was super comfortable with great air-conditioning (you need it). Plenty of space. The all inclusive really is all-inclusive and you want for nothing. Having your own snorkeling gear for the whole stay and access to paddle boards and canoes was fantastic. The included trips and massages were excellent. The food and staff were fantastic.

We have stayed at Varu by Atmosphere last year. That’s the reason we had chosen OBLU SELECT Sangeli because it belongs To Atmosphere group also. We have stayed 6 nights in water villa. The location of the hotel is very good in general. Transfer from the airport by speedboat is quite comfortable. There is no problem with the welcome and hotel transfer. Very very thanks To Meggie for everything about our vacation and late departure. She is so nice about customs. The hotel's live reef is excellent, we witnessed incredible views, including gray reef shark. However, more measures should be taken to protect the living reefs. I, for my part, collected plastic garbage, glasses, bottles from the ocean during the vacation. I don't know if it is because of the current, but those beauties should be better protected. The Courtyard restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a limited choice. There's a little bit of everything. We loved the Indian cuisine, it was delicious. Beverage service is problematic at every meal, it comes late, you have to order your drink as soon as you choose your table. There are 2 a la carte restaurants named Just wok and Just grill. With the Serenity plan concept, we had the chance to book 2 a la carte restaurants for a 6 night stay. We didn't like Just wok at all, both the menu was weak and the food was not delicious. Just grill was delicious but the service was extremely slow. The starters arrived 40 minutes after we sat at the table. The buggy problem on the way back is bad, we waited 30 minutes for the buggy. Sangs bar is nice, the options are wide and the staff is very friendly. Although the bar is crowded, there is no shortage of service. Mini bars at rooms is enough and renewing everyday. Room service and cleaning is done twice a day. But sometimes they forvet to clean the terrace and put the vanity or dental kits To bathroom. Wi-Fi is very poor throughout the hotel. You can neither watch videos without pauses. This is our fourth time in Maldives and we have the chance to compare hotels. By the Way, thank you for everything.

A wonderful experience with a lot of friendly and helpful people. Everybody from Spa, Reception, Housekeeping, Bar, Restaurant, Dive Center made you feel welcomed. The people make all the difference. The restaurant was great too. Usually no long lines. The Indian chef made the best food and naans/rotis. Lots of variation. I loved the Indian ocean night, but a lot of the food was really spicy! Everything was delicious and was well presented. We had to skip two of the specialty restaurants sittings, because 9PM was too late for our children and no other sitting was available. But we went two other times and were blown away at both restaurants. The adults-only island wasn't for us. We snorkeled there from the other island. There isn't even a beach or access to the bar from the water. In fact, we would recommend a villa without a pool to travelers with children (we hat 112) - close to the kids club and the bar and restaurant. The beach is way better to use with white sand and with an incline. No currents, still a lot of fish to see. The bar was never crowed - there are lots of other places to got to. The sunset bar was great too, we went 3 times. I enjoyed the live music at night even if the music repeated after a while. It suited the place very well. I found the DJ night to be a bit too loud with a lots of older songs. We are no day drinkers, so we kept to ourself at the beach. We had the laguna almost to ourselves. We liked that there was something going on. People arriving, jet skis, a larger boat unloading supplies, etc. We once crossed the laguna to the deepwater inlet, away from the anchoring boats. If you like warm water you can circle the main island as well at high tide. I gets boring around the rocks bar. Bring A LOT of sunscreen and aftersun. The shop at the resort is ridiculous expensive. Bring UV protective clothing and longer shorts for snorkeling. You can rent out snorkeling gear for free. There is a clinic close to the western end of the island. I got swimmers ear one day and got antibiotic ear drops for free from there. That was great service with no waiting. We did the complimentary spa treatments and came back for a fourth one. It was great. Book in advance. There are specials and deals. But there is no hairdresser on the island. Definitely do the manta excursion (130USD after tax) p.P. with the dive center - we saw maybe 20 of them. A truly once in a lifetime experience. Very friendly crew - they looked out after my wife and kids. Thank you! The sunset fishing is not for younger kids, since the the fish are getting killed and gutted. You can see nurse sharks when the boat comes back to the jetty. The house reef was great too. We even got to see turtles and sharks. There are rays and sand sharks close to the sunset bar. There was one really annoying titan triggerfish who I really disliked. There is one minor improvement I want to address without sounding too American. We drink a lot of diet sodas. The coke zero cans which are served in the resort are not really cold. Only in the mornings. By noon, everything was luke warm. Being served with a tiny glass and a few ice cubes the drink was still warm. You either have to chill the cans for hours or provide a lot more ice cubes. We flew out a 9PM, got a late checkout till 4:30PM for 250USD with lunch and bar service. We're at the airport around 5:30PM. The speedboat was doing 70kph - the captain definitely wanted to be back for Iftār. Thank you Amir for looking after our villa. You were great!

Stunning Location, Exceptional Facilities, But Discrimination in Service to Indian's Our recent stay at OBLU Select Sangeli in the Maldives from April 13th to April 17th, 2024, was a mixed experience that left us with conflicting feelings. Nestled amidst the pristine beauty of the Maldivian waters, the resort boasts stunning scenery and top-notch facilities that promise an unforgettable vacation. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking surroundings and the luxurious ambiance of the resort. The overwater villas provided panoramic views of the turquoise ocean, while the amenities within were modern and well-appointed. The dining options were diverse and delectable, offering a culinary journey through various cuisines to suit every palate. However, our enchantment with the resort was marred by a disappointing aspect: the evident disparity in services provided to guests based on nationality. As Indian guests, we couldn't help but notice a noticeable contrast in the level of attention and service extended to us compared to visitors of other nationalities. While the facilities were impeccable for all guests, the quality of service seemed to vary based on nationality, which left us feeling marginalized and disheartened. Throughout our stay, we observed instances where guests from certain nationalities received preferential treatment, whether it was in terms of promptness in service, attentiveness from staff, or flexibility in accommodating requests. This discrimination in service not only tarnished our overall experience but also raised concerns about fairness and equality within the resort. Despite this unfortunate aspect, we must acknowledge the efforts of certain staff members who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warmth and professionalism were a beacon of hospitality amidst the shadow of disparity. In conclusion, OBLU Select Sangeli undeniably offers a spectacular setting and exceptional facilities that promise an idyllic retreat in the Maldives. However, the disheartening disparity in service based on nationality detracts from the overall experience, highlighting the need for the resort management to address issues of equality and inclusivity to truly uphold the values of hospitality and customer satisfaction.

We had the most fantastic stay with our 3 year old son at this resort. The atmosphere was great, the pool spacious and almost empty most of the time and the beaches were superb. The best thing about this place is the staff. From the minute we arrived everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the attention and kindness show to our son by everyone, they would play with him and make him feel special and he had a wonderful time! In particular Michael at the restaurant was fantastic with him and became his very good friend for the week. Sahiba and Maiha were also so great with him and always so smiley. At the pool and sunset bar Madhyh was wonderful with James and always remembered his special apple juice. The food here is wonderful, especially the curries and dosas. We mentioned that we loved Sri Lankan food and Jude was really kind to make us a special Sri Lankan prawn curry and sambal which was amazing! Safran who managed the restaurant was also really helpful all the time and very friendly. Honestly everyone was absolutely fantastic and really made the stay so brilliant. I wont mention everyone’s name but thank you so much! Our room was really spacious, the outdoor bathroom is incredible with a massive waterfall shower and the location on th breach was terrific. It was always spotless and if we ever needed anything Haiman was great at providing it. Amaan was very welcoming and checking everything was good for us. There was a good range of complimentary activities, in particular the house snorkelling trip where I saw an eagle ray, turtle and reef shark. We would absolutely love to visit again and cannot recommend it enough.
