We spent a week on this little island and split our stay between two villas. Beach Villa 213 was peaceful and tucked away at the end of the row, but the “beach” in front was not usable. Still, a lovely, quiet start. Then we moved to a Water Villa, and honestly, game changer. Waking up to sea life literally at your doorstep was incredible. Food & Service: The Courtyard quickly became our go-to. Tons of choice, consistently great food, and the staff were wonderful. Huge shoutout to Nawra in reception and Javit from Sangs bar, Mo from the restaurant they made everything feel effortless. A few things to note: • The extra excursions are very pricey. We paid USD 200 for a turtle snorkel, went 10 minutes from the hotel… and saw zero turtles. • We didn’t enjoy Just Grill. The food came out suspiciously fast, arrived cold, and didn’t feel fresh. Staff whisked away our plates before we’d even swallowed, and the atmosphere was pretty flat. • This is a family resort so if you are looking for serenity then maybe go to an Adults only resort Overall, we loved the island, especially once we hit the water villa and settled into the Courtyard routine.

We recently returned from an incredible family holiday at Oblu Sangeli, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. We travelled as a group of six adults and five children aged between 3 and 6, and this resort is truly perfect for families with young kids. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A special mention to Zaki and the whole team at the Kids Club — they made both our holiday and our children’s holiday truly special. The care, attention, and enthusiasm they showed were second to none, allowing us adults to relax and enjoy some downtime knowing our kids were in the best hands. Zaki in particular was incredible — his energy, musical talent, and genuine excitement brought so much joy to our children’s days. They were genuinely sad to leave him and the Kids Club team behind! Another big thank you goes to Chef Vijay Rana and his amazing team. The food was outstanding, and they were always happy to accommodate our specific requests. Every meal was a delicious experience, from the buffet to the à la carte options. The resort itself is beautiful — crystal-clear waters, stunning villas, and a relaxed atmosphere — but it’s truly the staff who make it magical. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Excellent service throughout from all the team at Sangeli . Ashraf and Frank both great at welcoming us here and made time to let us know more about the island and the sustainability . They were both so friendly , helpful and welcoming. Ashraf arranged our meeting point for the boat from Male to here at Sangeli. Frank greeted us with his warmth and kindness. He has been absolutely wonderful and outstanding! Every hotel needs Frank ! He makes the stay feel very special as he gives his customers the service which is outstanding. So highly impressed with Frank. They have all been so friendly, kind, helpful and polite. The customer service received from Alivi has been excellent (restaurant) SB Rony ( restaurant) who helps you choose some amazing tropical fresh fruits, to Michel( restaurant ) who helps you create your own fresh salads where you choose your own dressings such as olive oil, lemon and honey and so much more. Martini has been excellent and always delivers great service which is appreciated. Our chef Rahul Srivastan ( sorry if I have not spelt correctly) as I have trouble with my eyes. You’re a super star and multi skilled chef. Well done on your excellent recipes and we were so thankful to have some teplas and chillas and delicious Utapams, garlic Nan is so soft and delicious! The house keeping from Bappi has been outstanding and leaves our room topped up with gels, soaps and gives a sparkling clean and the villa feels fresh and amazing ! Excellent service from Maayal who keeps the mini bar and snacks topped up each day. I highly recommend this place and even though weather is now unpredictable, we did get few days of sunshine and it’s all worthwhile. The massage and spa team gave us our complementary massage which was a bliss and so divine. My husband and I both opted for stress buster and amazingly they managed to help us with our tight muscles and stressed neck and shoulders. If I get another chance, I will definitely would like to get more treatments done. The therapist both best in the world. Their treatment was very helpful and we both appreciated. I have traveled to many places around the globe but Select Sangeli in Maldives is one that will stay with me forever. Love the amazing emerald colour of the ocean with different shades of blue. The white sands and blue waters helps me feel better. I have been impressed with high quality of service here and so impressed. I will definitely be looking forward to coming here often in the future and be regular clients with Atmosphere. I write with gratitude, honesty and respect for all the staff as I cannot remember all the names. I am grateful from all the team from snorkeling, to restaurant, to house keeping , landscape staff, and everyone who we have witnessed work with enthusiasm, kindness and compassion. Dheenu served us well at the restaurant and was very helpful and friendly. Thank you and we appreciate his service. Also the team there were all amazing. Chef Tore who kindly caters for our needs as we are vegetarian and makes some delicious pizzas and pastas and variety of food is always smiling, friendly and makes our stay very enjoyable and heartwarming. Keep smiling Tore, you’re doing absolutely amazing! You’re a star ! I want to also thank Javeed and all the team in the restaurant and all the chefs who have been amazing and helpful ! I wish to add that Danny and Pramod both chefs were amazing. Pramod made some excellent naans and rotis for us as well. He went out of his way to ask if we wanted anything else as we were vegetarians. Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to seeing you all again in the near future. Loved our stay at this location! Everything—from the water villa to the island itself—was neat, well-kept, and absolutely wonderful. A special shoutout to the resort staff; they were all extremely professional and friendly. Another big shoutout to Chef Pramod and Chef Rahul who, upon learning that we were vegetarians, went out of their way to prepare meals that were not only sufficient but also incredibly tasty.

This was my second time staying at OBLU Select Sangeli, and I loved it just as much — if not more! The food at Just Wok was absolutely delicious, and the chef deserves special praise for his incredible flavors. The staff members driving the buggies were always so kind, polite, and attentive. Every restaurant team greeted us with warm smiles and friendly conversation, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The massage was unbelievably relaxing, and Just Grill offered such a stylish atmosphere with exceptional dishes. The snorkeling activities were breathtaking — even though it was my second visit, I felt the same excitement doing all the activities again. Coming from Turkey, a country surrounded by beautiful seas, I was still amazed by the unique atmosphere here. The island is spotless, the water crystal clear, and the whole place feels like paradise. I truly believe everyone should visit the Maldives at least once in their lifetime, and OBLU Select Sangeli should definitely be one of those choices! 🌴✨
