Our stay at OBLU NATURE Helengeli was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we were welcomed at the airport to the final speedboat transfer back, everything was seamless, professional, and genuinely caring. We stayed in a Lagoon Villa, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The outdoor shower was a highlight, and having our own pool overlooking the ocean made it even more special. The villa was cleaned daily to a very high standard, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the overall comfort was exceptional. We also loved the thoughtful touches — every day the minibar was replenished with two Cokes, two Sprites, two beers, a slab chocolate, and plenty of drinking water. The house reef, accessible directly from the jetty, is truly something else. Snorkelling there felt like entering another world. We saw an incredible variety of marine life — fish of every size and colour imaginable, blacktip reef sharks, turtles, eels, octopus, and so much more. It was absolutely out of this world and easily one of the highlights of our trip. The staff deserve special mention. Everyone was genuinely happy, friendly, and attentive, and the service throughout the resort was excellent. The food was delicious, with an impressive variety of options at every meal, catering to all tastes. The cocktails at the bar were also fantastic — the Fonduloo is a must-try. Thank you, OBLU, for such a magical experience. We truly hope to see you again very soon.

We stayed at the resort from November 28 to December 4 — my husband, myself, and our two-year-old child. Overall, we had a lovely experience. The service, hospitality, and transfer were excellent. The staff in particular deserve special praise — they truly go above and beyond. I would give the hotel a solid 4 out of 5. However, there are a few things future guests should be aware of: 1. Lagoon Villa condition: The villa in the lagoon felt a bit outdated, and there was a noticeable smell of old furniture inside. 2. No prior warning about the sea conditions: The hotel did not inform us about the weather and tide specifics in advance, even though this matters for guests who choose the villa mainly for the water access. 3. Beach type (not a minus, but important to know): This is not a resort with wide, soft, white-sand beaches. The shoreline is coral-reef based, and the entry into the water is not the smooth, swimmable type many people expect. For some this may be a downside, but for others who love snorkeling it could actually be a plus. Overall, the team at the resort works incredibly hard, and you can feel that they genuinely care. With a few improvements, this hotel could easily reach an excellent rating.

We stayed at OBLU Helengeli for New Year, and the hotel truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a Sunset Villa, which I highly recommend. The sunset views were amazing, and from this side of the island you can swim directly to the house reef. It was incredible to see so much marine life right in front of the villa. We saw sharks, lionfish, rays, and groupers almost every day. The villa was very comfortable, always perfectly clean, and the private pool was great. The food was delicious. Of course this is personal preference, but we had some of the best curries we’ve ever tried. It was also the first all-inclusive hotel where we ate something different every day. Dinners were thematic and did not repeat during our 8-day stay. Since we were there for New Year’s Eve, we also had the gala dinner, which was exceptional. There was a good mix of traditional, Asian, and European food. You could always find pasta, pizza, and a few meat options. The fish dishes were excellent, with reef fish, tuna, shrimp, and lobster available during the stay. The only small downside was the fruit selection. Usually there were only about three types of fruit, and not much local fruit. I would have expected more mango, coconut, watermelon, or pineapple. The New Year’s Eve celebration was very well organized, with fireworks and live music. The staff were amazing throughout the stay, always friendly and helpful. This included the front desk, restaurant and bar staff, and the lifeguards at the house reef deck. We also tried the water sports and went on a dolphin cruise, which was unforgettable. We saw a large group of dolphins swimming next to the boat. The island itself is small, which we really liked. It never felt crowded, and the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place we would happily return to.

Our stay at the resort was nothing short of magical. The location near the coral reefs makes it the perfect place for snorkeling — we had the incredible chance to swim with turtles, reef sharks, rays, and all kinds of colorful fish. It was absolutely breathtaking. The all-inclusive restaurant offered amazing food every day, with plenty of variety and fresh, high-quality dishes that kept things exciting. Our villa was spacious, cozy, and had the most stunning view we could ever ask for. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. They went above and beyond to organize a surprise gender reveal dinner for us — something we’ll cherish forever. When we arrived at the Raga Route restaurant, our table was beautifully decorated with pink and blue balloons. After a wonderful dinner, we were brought outside, where a cake waited for us — the moment we cut into it and discovered our baby’s gender was simply unforgettable. This special evening happened thanks to Eloise (Ellie), who took our dream and turned it into reality. From the moment we spoke, she handled everything with such care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Her thoughtfulness made all the difference — she truly deserves recognition for the love and dedication she puts into her work. A heartfelt thank you as well to Nick, Anoof, Raif, Chef Sworbeer, Chef Ajju, and Chef Ankita (who prepared our cake) for their kindness and presence that night. Their efforts and smiles made us feel so special and loved. This experience will forever hold a place in our hearts. Thank you to the entire team for giving us memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime.

An overall great experience for our honeymoon! PROs: The resort is well-located and the waters beautiful. We stayed at suite 801 which was perfect for our honeymoon. It was very clean, well-designed and decorated. We enjoyed the full privacy, open view on the ocean and the infinity pool. The Island Plan (all-in) is great, with complimentary transfers, excursions and a fine dining experience (Just Grill restaurant was excellent). We were happy to find a mosque. The staff is helpful, polite and kind. Mr Alain (GM) is close to the clients. Vivian, Ali and Mohamed at the restaurant were great, the Nepalese buggy driver always smiling, and of course Bishnu who's simply the best, with small touches that made a big difference! CONs: We didn't get a proper briefing upon arrival and had to look for most basic information by ourselves (buggy timings, resort map, finding a mosque...). Some receptionists didn't seem enough experienced. The mini-bar and snacks inside the villa could have been better with juices (we don't drink carbonated drinks), a variety of fruit (we had 3 apples) and mixed nuts. We found the quality of the beverages and desserts at the restaurant very poor. No freshly squeezed juices included in the plan, since we don't drink alcohol, this could have been a nice touch. None of the fruit desserts contain fruit (lemon tart, pistachio and raspberry cake...), it was all sugar and food coloring! The rest of the food was quite good for a 4-star resort but unfortunately limited to Asian and Indian specialties. The complimentary floating breakfast didn't contain any eggs. Having a buggy service outside of restaurant timings would have been great given the location of our villa that was quite far. You should find a solution to avoid the external lights of the terrace (6pm-6am) entering the bedroom via the door that is between the walk-in closet and bathroom. That is not possible to sleep that way. There should be an option also to switch off the lights inside the pool. We were disappointed that the Honeymoon Memento was not offered to us upon departure as included in our package.
