This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Disgusting rooms which were not cleaned. The AC and heat did not work. Overpriced for such horrible conditions and a waste of money and time. When you call the front desk for service, no one answers the phone. I do not recommend this hotel to the general public. The actual hotel and rooms are nothing like the website, everything is old, shabby and unclean. It's all a sham to get people to book but once you get there it is so disgusting. This hotel needs to be shut down permanently.

Irish Thatch Cottage

The hotel is an amazing location 1 block from the Empire State. Our view from our room was of the Empire State Building. The staff were friendly, helpful and always on hand to help us. Checking in was very straight forward. The lobby was clean and spacious. The room was dated but very clean, spacious and had all the amenities we required. The air con was in working order and very cool after a hot day out exploring. Every morning a lovely cleaning lady arrived to clean the room and replenish toiletries and towels. Overall I will definitely stay in this hotel again and will recommend to all family and friend! Thanks Nyma Hotel for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location and price is great for the spot. My room was clean and bed was comfortable. However it is quite dated and some of the furniture was past its life. Room didn't have a fridge or a coffee machine, and towels were very much near the end of their life. There's also a rooftop bar open to the public and only two lifts that are shared so it can take a while to come and go in the evening in the relatively slow lifts.

We enjoyed our stay, good hotel for the modest price. A bit older, but clean and well kept. Reception folks were nice, super friendly guy at nights and cleaning lady on the floor 10 always asked if we need anything. Elevator was fine. Rooftop bar is okay, not the best view. Things we didn’t like: very uncomfortable beds, probably older, the middle is sinking and you get a feeling like you sleep in a bath tub. No luggage storage, but looks like there is a paid one couple of blocks away.

This hotel was absolutely horrible. First of all, the hotel was said to have a great view of the Empire State Building which it did not. We had a view of some gross looking buildings. What we could see was blocked by the windows which were all taped up due to being previously broken. The wallpaper was peeling in spots all over the room. There was at least a mini fridge that worked and a coffee machine and microwave. The beds were plenty big but had stains all over the sheets and pillows. The room overall was very tiny. There was no place to put baggage. The room seemed very dirty with hair all in the bathroom and in the drawers. The hotel website very much falsely advertised with pictures of the rooms and saying there was free breakfast which was crucial to my family getting out on time. When we arrived we found out there was no breakfast and no luggage storage which was also something we were counting on for our trip. When we got to our room we discovered there were only two towels and two washcloths. No hand towel and no bath mat. We needed more than just two towels. We told the front desk and they said they would bring some up. Five hours later still no towels or washcloths. Then we were told they had no washcloths. That was ridiculous. We did eventually get some but the situation shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The front desk told us this is one of their best views and rooms. This hotel did not meet my expectations and disappointed me quite a bit. The pictures and information on the website where very misleading. And for the price we were paying to stay it was ridiculous that this is what we got in return. Do not stay at this hotel!!!
