The resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff friendly and hospitable. The beach views are simply gorgeous. We opted for the breakfast-only option and don’t regret it. There are plenty of restaurants just minutes away from the hotel. We enjoyed the cocktails at the swimming pool bar. The music bands, concerts, and DJ were really good. There are also pool, darts, and plenty of books available in the bar above the restaurant, perfect for socializing or relaxing. This small resort is wonderfully designed, with everything close and easy to reach. We were there to relax, and we certainly did. We will be back soon!

I stayed more time in this hotel. It is a good hotel but When the hotel management was under the Hilton brand, it had a stronger bar and restaurant. However now it is a good hotel. It just needs to play better music.

Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco is part of Marriott's Tribute collection and is located at the northern top of Zanzibar and about a two hour drive from the airport, ZNZ. The resort has a nice open reception area with shaded seating and a coffee shop. Whilst the majority of guests doesn't drive, they provide complimentary parking. If you have a B&B or redemption booking you can upgrade to half board or all inclusive for $25 or $60 respectively. The resort has several bars and restaurants depending on what you like and you are moments away from the town if you fancy something else. There is a main pool at the middle of the resort and the beach is right next to it. There is a full service spa and a small but well equipped gym as well. The rooms are nice and big with balconies facing the pool and beach. If you want something else then there is plenty of activities in town. Overall a great hotel for a beach holiday.

After being on safari, we flew to Zanzibar and stayed at this beach resort. The hotel was on the beach which had a white sandy beach with crystal clear water. The room was very comfortable. The resort had excellent food and exceptional service. I highly recommend this resort.
