Perfect Getaway at Dreams Sapphire My wife and I recently spent a fantastic weekend at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in Cancun for a friend's wedding—we were thrilled to leave the kids with the grandparents for this much-needed break! Our stay was spectacular from start to finish. Our Preferred Room in the Indigo building was truly amazing, offering gorgeous views and exceptional comfort. The food was consistently great, and the service was always on point; every staff member was friendly and attentive. We also took a memorable snorkeling trip with Caribbean Top Tours Mexico. Their representative, Edgar, was highly informative and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Our snorkeling guide, Mauricio, deserves a special mention—he was great, considerate, and all-around excellent, ensuring a wonderful and safe experience for everyone. We would recommend Dreams Sapphire to anyone looking for an incredible experience in Cancun!

Just returned from dreams sapphire resort . Overall the hotel and grounds is huge . It’s a maze to be honest. Check in was ok but we got a room on the top floor with 2 separate beds . Not ideal for our honeymoon. First off our room key didn’t work . Had to get replacements . Then our tv was broken . Bottom of screen kept freezing and blurring. After 3 days they finally changed it and finally we also got some English speaking channels. The room itself was very tired furniture just about holding up albeit with some extra screws for good measure. Bedding had holes in as well as the towels. Then we come to the all inclusive dinners . You have to be 1st at any restaurant you decide to go to or else you could have a long wait , 1hour . Strange set up to be honest . The beach is covered in smelly seaweed . It’s not there fault I know . We spent most of our time around the adults only pool which is ok . Except with 2 nights to go we were told that we were not allowed there as we weren’t premium guest ! When you check in they call you family. Imagine you had your family around your house but your auntie couldn’t use the upstairs toilet because she wasn’t a premium guest. The main pool is full of children and loud music which isn’t for us . We paid about $160 just to stay at the adult pool for 2 days . We were also sold this hotel as travel agents said it was adults only hotel and 5 star . I wouldn’t give it 4 stars tbh . The alcohol is top brands though neither of us are drinkers . I don’t think they no what tea is . There is only 2 very small smoking areas at opposite sides of the resort . Rest is non smoking. There is 1 chair in one area and none in the other . These jungle hideaways are full of mosquitoes. I don’t usually get bitten . But unfortunately I was eaten alive on this occasion. No insect repellent would work . It was either mosquitoes or bed bugs . The staff are very friendly though and could not do enough for us . Big shout out to the staff around the adult pool who once we paid the $160 allowed us to stay in that area . No I would not go hear again and was very happy on our last day to be going home .

The resort was beautiful. Can't complain about the vibe of the place. The staff were very accommodating. I couldn't be happier with the staff. However, if you book as preferred, expect to be hounded to sign up for a 2hr timeshare presentation. We unfortunately fell for it and the "no pressure" presentation took 20+ "nos" from us and we had to talk to 5 different people to finally have our "no" accepted. My family wasn't impressed with the food either. We were hoping for some authentic Mexican food, but the best food we had was off resort. Also, bring cash because it feels like tipping is expected.

Dreams Sapphire was my first all-inclusive getaway, and it did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. The staff, service, and location all set the bar incredibly high. Every day there is something different to do; yet, if you choose to keep it simple or routine, that is also an option. Excursions to the Yucatan, catamaran rides, snorkeling, poolside with a swim-up bar, dancing - you name it! Dreams Sapphire has it. I really enjoyed the restaurants the most. The food was incredible and unique each night, with an endless flow of entertainment and great drinks! The main lobby was also very comfortable for the time of year. Visiting in October made for some higher winds and cooler breezes, but sitting around the buzz and activity really made for a great atmosphere. The entire staff were excellent to speak to. Service was always granted with a big smile and hearing some wonderful anecdotes made for a very pleasurable and genuine time. I don't know when I'll be back to Quintana Roo, but when I do, it'll be at the Dreams Sapphire!

Overall had such an amazing trip no complaints! Visited October 28-November 2nd. Close to the airport (~20 minute drive). It is a smaller quieter resort with not a lot of nighttime entertainment for adults (i.e. no disco, no themed parties, pool closes around 5/6pm). We particularly loved the a la carte breakfast by the beach, breakfast buffet, pina coladas, and the Italian restaurant- make sure you order the tortellini! We had low expectations for the beach since it was sargassum season, but at the end of the trip it cleared up and was beautiful enough to swim in the ocean. Paid for preferred but don’t think it’s necessary for a great time :) One area I would like to see improvement on is the cleanliness of rooms, from initial look everything is very clean until you look very very closely.
