We had a 10 day holiday at this hotel. Wonderful place for relaxation. If you have kids, they will love this hotel too.
The pool bar was one of our favorite places. The other one was the balance spa. Get out of the pool, straight into the spa! Aah!
Their in house spa is very clean with wonderful service. Not one of those dodgy ones you keep hearing about.
The food was tasty and ample. The buffet breakfast had a huge range of items.
The staff were all very friendly.
We celebrated a birthday there, the staff went above and beyond to make it special.
It is close to other local food places and just a small walk to the kata beach. The hotel runs shuttles to and from the beach every half an hour.
One thing to be mindful about is, the walk to the hotel might be challenging if you have difficulty walking because of the location being a bit up hill. Not a problem at all if you are in average health conditions.
They had cabaret nights, a complementary cultural show and few more events that might interest some.
Will definitely go back!

We have recently returned from 10 wonderful nights at Novotel Kata Avista and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
All the staff there are wonderful but we want to make a special thanks to Concierge Au for looking after us so well and made us feel special - exceptional service.
Fantastic clean & well maintained pool.
Rooms are spacious, clean & with lovely views.
Really recommend this resort and challenge you to walk the hill at least once!!
Perhaps one our best holidays!!

Novotel Kata was such good value for money!! It was clean and spacious and had amazing kid-friendly amenities like the pool, slide, toys, splash pad, kid's club, playground, games available, and more.
I loved that the staff was so friendly towards my son. When you arrive, they even have a kid's check-in counter. My son got a goodie bag with a coloring book, pens, and a stuffed animal toy.
Not to mention it's close to Kata beach. The hill coming up towards the hotel can be a bit of a hike depending on your ability and fitness level but they have a shuttle.
My only two recommendations for improvements are the breakfast buffet, it was quite average in terms of quality. And the housekeeping didn't clean our room until we called them.
Other than that, I'm so happy we stayed here! Would definitely recommend it for families with kids.

We recently stayed at the Novotel Phuket Kata Avista, and overall, we had a really nice time. The location is great – it's close to Kata Beach and not far from Karon Beach either. Plus, there's a food market nearby which was super convenient.
-Check-in and Room Experience
Check-in was a breeze. The staff were informative and friendly, which set a good tone right from the start. Our room was spacious and had a partly ocean view, which was a lovely surprise. It was cleaned every day by a wonderful lady (I wish I remembered her name!). She was so kind and always managed to tidy up while we were out, so we were never disturbed.
-Breakfast
Breakfast was alright, but I expected a bit more from a five-star hotel. Considering we were in Thailand, I thought there would be more exotic fruits – there were only three choices. The dessert station was pretty boring too. But, on the bright side, the chefs at the omelet station were fantastic – really accommodating and made great omelets. The service was quick, and there was always someone at the door to greet us, which was a nice touch.
-Hotel Services
One thing to be aware of is the hill you have to climb to get to the hotel. We asked about the shuttle van timings, but the driver (a bit bold) or the concierge guy seemed to gently nudge us to walk instead, saying it wasn't far. We had walked it before, but climbing that hill multiple times a day was tiring. It would be great (as a suggestion maybe) if some small stairs could be added along the walkway to make it easier. then it will be more appropriate to push guests to walk...
Despite the hill and the breakfast not being what i was expecting, the hotel itself is good. It's close to the beaches and the food market, which we really appreciated. I'd recommend the Novotel Phuket Kata Avista – just be ready for a bit of a workout!
Overall, if you don't mind a bit of a climb and are looking for a hotel with good service and a convenient location, this is a solid choice.
Apricot Scrub
Do not stay here! Super high and dangerous hill to go to the main road you'll end up paying 200bht to return to your hotel. Rooms are super moist. Water all over the floor because of the moisture. Very outdated rooms. Phone didn't work. Maid opened the door without knocking at 9am. Worst hotel I've stayed in for a while. Around the 2-3 star max old hotel level. 4-5 star is a joke. Staff were nice though.
