I visited this resort back when it was still called Zitahli, and even after staying at 10 different resorts across the Maldives, this island remains a true hidden gem in my heart. At the time, I was debating between this and the W Resort (which was similarly priced back then), and I'm so glad I chosen this resort. I eventually visited W as well, but the overall experience here was truly unforgettable. The resort is now under the IHG group as Noku Maldives, and I really hope the new management can restore and even enhance the resort's original charm and reputation. When I first visited, I didn't know much about the Maldives, but looking back, I realize how lucky I was with this choice. The spacious villas, beautiful turquoise lagoon, great snorkeling, friendly service, and gorgeous views from the overwater villa - everything was perfect. We stayed in Water Pool Villa #42, and the lagoon view from the villa was absolutely stunning - that vibrant, clear turquoise that I always look for. Many Maldives resorts have nice beaches, but not all have beautiful lagoon views from the overwater villas. Even within the same category, the view can vary a lot depending on the villa number. I personally found the Water Sunset Pool Villas to have less attractive lagoon views. Another unique and beautiful aspect of this resort is the circular layout of the overwater villas. These days. many OWVs in the Maldives are arranged in straight lines, but at the resort, the villas are built in a graceful arc, surrounding a central lagoon. This design not only enhances the view from each villa but also creates a classic Maldivian postcard scene - perfect for iconic photos. Standing on the deck, you can take in a full panoramic view od the villas and lagoon. The villa itself was spacious at 190sqm, larger than most Maldives resorts, which makes a big difference considering how much time you spend in the room here. I love the private pool with its sea colored tiles, blemding perfectly with the ocean. The bathroom was my favorite part - a large vanity area (surprisingly rare in the Maldives), outdoor shower, and generous jacuzzi with direct views of the lagoon. Everything was designed to be both functional and visually soothing. From the photos I've seen it looks like the villa interiors haven't changed much since my stay, but I hope IHG will consider some tasteful upgrades to enhance the sense of luxury. Back then, the lagoon and marine life were fantastic. I've heard that Noku might be experiencing the seaweed issues that affect many Maldives resorts nowdays, but hopefully the lagoon is still as clean and beautiful as it once was. Fortunately, the area around our villa didn't seem affected at the time. Overall, this is a truly special resort that delivered on every aspect - from scenery comfort to snorkeling. I genuinely hope Noku continues to preserve and enhance what made this island such a treasure.

I must commend the staff at this place for their exceptional service. A special thanks goes to Chef Denzel for the incredible dinner he prepared, blending Sri Lankan generosity with Maldives butty. I would also like to acknowledge the fantastic efforts of all other staff members who made us feel welcome and at home, particularly Layan, Sandeep, Islam, Mary and all others thank you. Noku is nothing short of paradise on earth — a true sanctuary kissed by blue skies and sea. From the very moment we arrived, greeted with the warmest of welcomes, to the bittersweet farewell on the seaplane, every moment was woven with beauty and wonder. What truly set Noku apart was the heartfelt hospitality that enveloped us at every turn. Wherever we went, we were greeted by name. The genuine warmth and attentiveness of the staff made all the difference. A special mention to the incredible Basil, Myra, Rukshan, and everyone who made our anniversary celebration so deeply special — you are treasures beyond measure! If you seek a retreat where your heart will be full and your spirit will soar, I wholeheartedly recommend Noku. It is a dream made real. 💫

Great choice if you are looking for a quiet resort to relax. Spacious and clean villas! I would say above the standard but not very luxurious. I think it's a great value for what you pay. We tried both beach and oversea villas and both were good. The beaches are beautiful, clean and well maintained. It's a heaven for those who likes snorkeling you can see turtles, crabs and wide variety of fishes. I'd suggest to ask for bikes to move around the island but you have also buggies on request and the island is not very big and walkable. The service is superb! Everybody is trying to please you. The food and drinks variety is good in both restaurants. The in Villa bar is everyday filled with drinks, snacks, tea and coffee. A schedule of different fun activities were sent everyday. Like Sunset cruise, volleyball match with the staff.. etc The spa is a must. We had a very good relaxing massage. Shout out to Aprilia, Roopesh, San and Sandra in the Spa! Shout out to Layaan who took care of us, was easy to communicate and responsive. Honestly, if I'm going to mention names I'm not going to finish. Everyone are trying their best to make sure we are happy and satisfied. It's our 10th anniversary and the management surprised us with beautiful bed decorations and bubble bath. I'd recommend this resort and don't hesitate if you are still thinking to choose a resort in the Maldives.

Welcome to paradise - We stayed here for 6 days 5 nights for our honeymoon and it’s our best vacation ever The water pool villa is perfect and there is no bugs at all even at night The food in both Palmes and Thari were both excellent. Every dish is delicious. But the atmosphere is better with the live music at the palmes. The diving tour by instructor Yadey is the best diving experience we have so far. It’s a bit costly but it is a must do for anyone visiting this island. The WiFi inside the room has a QoS of 5Mbps per device but the signal is ok if you move the AP (router) slightly outside away from the table lamp Thank you to Jazmyn and other staff for their hospitality during our trip and see you again soon
