Our stay at the NH Marina Portimoa Resort was pleasant indeed. We had a nice view of the Marina, our room was sufficient for two adult women requiring two beds. Parking was ample and to get into a out of town easy. A walking distance to the which was lovely to walk in the early morning. The breakfast was plentiful with a huge variety of foods. The coffee, well not the best. Rooms were clean and the entire staff incredibly polite a attentive. Some of the building needs some attention on the exterior but all in all it was well worth the stay

Lovely stay here. Room was immaculate and bed was super comfy! Loved looking out to the marina and enjoying the peace. Lost star due to their not being any washing up liquid/sponges or cooking utensils provided. Room comes with a 2 ring stove top but just a massive casserole dish to cook with alongside basic knives/forks etc so was difficult to make own food or wash up due to this.
If they were provided as standard would easily be 5*

The location is great if you want to be near the beach and Marina area, which is South of the main city hub. There's a bus you can catch to take you into the city or the train station.
The hotel was kind enough to give me a free upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom. The place is large with a little kitchen area, two patio areas, two TV's and a large living. The couch turns into a pull out bed. Room 237 faces the Marina. Good price and value for what you get in the low season of February. Would stay here again.
Breakfast has a lot of options but nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel at their level. It's good but not an outstanding breakfast by any means. I think the bacon could be cooked a little better.

The building we were in is in dire need of maintenance. The pergolas over each balcony are falling off or are missing . We went through the wooden floor of the tiki hut where the poolside chairs are stored when we went to get a chair. And the thatch roof of the tiki hut was missing sections very unattractive. On our arrival the bathroom sink was clogged. They did fix it quickly but it was inconvenient as we couldn'tuse our bathroomfor the 1st few hours. Lunch at the restaurant was poor, we had a sandwich and the bread was stale. The saving grace is the breakfast buffet which had a nice variety.
A great location with parking and walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

It's my favourite place in Portugal, third time staying, wonderful food and location. Built into a gorgeous marina right next to the amazing Praia Da Rocha beach and wonderful boardwalk with lots of great places to eat and drink. Hope to return again soon
