NH Marina Portimao Resort

The hotel was well placed right next to the marina. It is a short walk to the beach and the Broadway. You are at one end with about a 30 minute walk to the main tourist area of Praia de Rocha. You need to get up lots of steps or a steep hill to get to the main street. The hotel had very little information about the local area, like the water taxi and the road train right on its doorstep. The staff in the pool bar are excellent and very helpful. The omelette bar was my favourite breakfast item. We did enjoy the Italian in the hotel and the bar upstairs where the staff were excellent.

### Extremely Disappointing Stay at NH Hotel Portimão My recent stay at NH Hotel Portimão was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The staff were incredibly unfriendly and seemed completely uninterested in solving any of the numerous problems we encountered. Their rude and unhelpful attitude made us feel unwelcome and added to the overall frustration of our stay. The third bed in our room was a flimsy sleeper sofa with an absurdly thin mattress that was more like sleeping on a hard floor. To make matters worse, the bed wasn't even made when we arrived, leaving us to struggle with setting it up ourselves after a long journey. The bathroom was a complete nightmare. Mold was visibly growing in several places, making it not only unsightly but also unhygienic and potentially hazardous to health. Showering in a grimy, outdated bathtub was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable. Adding to our discomfort, the window in our room was broken. This meant that we had no view of the outside world, and the room felt like a depressing cave. The pool area was a safety hazard. Tiles were missing everywhere, posing a significant risk of injury. It was clear that maintenance was not a priority at this hotel, as the pool looked dilapidated and uncared for. The so-called fitness room was a complete joke. It contained only a few pieces of outdated equipment, and half of them were broken and unusable. It was impossible to get any kind of proper workout in such a poorly maintained facility. In summary, my stay at NH Hotel Portimão was horrendous. The combination of rude staff, unacceptable room conditions, and substandard amenities made this one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.

A beautiful property with stunning views of the a castle and towns on cliffs. Their dining area overlooks this view and it's amazing. Buffet breakfast had a good selection. Praia da Rocha is very close and a pleasant walk from the resort. Their big pool is a saltwater pool and we really appreciated to be allowed in our room earlier. The room was spacious, clean, and and had a good view of the marina.

The room had ants, the cleanliness was appalling, and the staff was incredibly rude. The bathroom was filthy with stains and suspicious marks on the mirror. My request for a double bed was ignored, and the staff’s contradictory responses were shady. Despite requesting a refund when I decided to leave, I have not been refunded even though I didn’t stay. This hotel was overpriced for its supposed 4-star rating and did not meet any NH standards I’ve experienced before

Our stay at the NH Marina Portimoa Resort was pleasant indeed. We had a nice view of the Marina, our room was sufficient for two adult women requiring two beds. Parking was ample and to get into a out of town easy. A walking distance to the which was lovely to walk in the early morning. The breakfast was plentiful with a huge variety of foods. The coffee,well not the best. Rooms were clean and the entire staff incredibly polite a attentive. Some of the building needs some attention on the exterior but all in all it was well worth the stay
