Tuck into mouth-wateringly fresh seafood in this laid-back, modern restaurant. With stunning views on either side of the river and the ocean, it’s a perfect setting for a romantic meal for two. Flavours are a zesty mix of Sri Lankan specialities, and the restaurant is open for dinner only.

Suan Bua

Featuring an irresistible menu of Thai home cooking with a Sri Lankan twist, Suan Bua offers dining in a wonderfully relaxing environment. Our stay at NH Bentota Ceysands Resort resulted in a mixed overall impression. The pool area is excellent and clearly one of the main strengths of the resort. The beach is beautiful, with impressive waves and a very scenic setting, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The food and dining experience was disappointing. The buffet quality is only average, and guests need to arrive early. Later on, the buffet often appears messy and poorly maintained. In addition, there is only one à la carte menu, which does not change and is identical across all restaurants. This lack of variety is particularly noticeable during longer stays, and overall the food quality is below expectations. The service in the day restaurant and bar was consistently weak. The staff often appeared unmotivated and gave the impression that they did not want to be there. On several occasions, we had to actively look for staff members in order to place an order, which significantly reduced the overall service experience. The spa and massage treatments are acceptable but not outstanding. They meet basic expectations but do not stand out compared to other resorts in Sri Lanka. A very positive mention goes to the housekeeping team, who do an excellent job. The rooms were always very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. In particular, Sampath deserves special recognition for his outstanding service and professionalism.

We had a wonderful day outing and room stay experience at NH Bentota Ceysands resort on 11th January 2026 and it was truly exceeded our expectations . From the moment we arrived the welcome experience was warm,pleasant and well organized . Our room stay experience was excellent. The room was clean,comfortable and well maintained.A special thanks for Mr.Gamini senior housekeeping supervisor arranging room close to swimming pool which made our stay even more enjoyable , convenience , and offering us a birthday cake too.Our heart felt thanks goes to Mr.Chanaka Rusith housekeeper too. Their kindness ,attention ,professionalism were clearly visible. The buffet and food & beverage experience was outstanding and everyone in our group enjoyed the meals very much. We highly recommend NH Bentota Beach Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great hospitality ,delicious food and outstanding service.We look forward to visiting again .

It was a great experience overall. Only reason for 4 star is the slow service. Had to wait a lot for getting basic things. The rooms are very spacious. Swimming pool is really big. There are good restaurants within the resort as well. The beach connects to the resort and it is amazing. Very less crowded, it's flat till a good distance and hence the waves are pretty strong. One of the best beaches I have come across. The river on the other side adds more value to its location. Highly recommended to visit.

Firstly, the staff were lovely and very helpful. A particular shout out to Pradeep in the pool bar and his colleague, they were so friendly and kind. In all honesty, I was slightly disappointed in the room at the price that we paid. For example, some of the roof panels in the corridor of the room looks precarious and the bathroom and bedroom could have been cleaner. Additionally, we had some internal concerns about the smell of the room when the aircon was on. The pool area is great and right next to the beach. A boat is needed to get from the hotel room side of the resort to the entrance / exit of the resort. This meant we had to get a boat every time we wanted to leave the resort. The boat was very regular. I imagine this may be exciting for some people, but for us we felt it added additional time that we had to consider.

Had a great experience overall. The food was excellent, and a big thank you to Chef Upul and Chef Sanath for the delicious meals. The service was well handled. Ms. Hiruni and Ms. Hansini at the reception were pleasant and welcoming, and Mr. Kasun provided excellent overall service, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.
