360 Restaurant

Tuck into mouth-wateringly fresh seafood in this laid-back, modern restaurant. With stunning views on either side of the river and the ocean, it’s a perfect setting for a romantic meal for two. Flavours are a zesty mix of Sri Lankan specialities, and the restaurant is open for dinner only.

Suan Bua

Featuring an irresistible menu of Thai home cooking with a Sri Lankan twist, Suan Bua offers dining in a wonderfully relaxing environment. Try a refreshing spicy green mango salad, or a warming rich smooth curry. There’s a tasty list of vegetarian options available. Suan Bua is open for dinner only.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel in Bentota. The location is perfect, just steps away from the golden sandy beach and close to the Bentota River. The hotel atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, ideal for a tropical getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly and offered excellent service throughout our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day. The swimming pool area was spotless and surrounded by comfortable sunbeds. We spent many relaxing afternoons there enjoying the calm environment. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, including fresh tropical fruits, Sri Lankan curries, and continental dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel restaurant also served excellent seafood for dinner. Overall, this Bentota hotel offers great value, warm hospitality, and a peaceful beachside experience. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

We booked this resort for the last day of our trip, hoping to relax and end our vacation on a good note. Unfortunately, the rooms we received were not up to the standard we expected for the price we paid. The service was also quite slow, and even after calling the reception 3–4 times, no one answered. That said, the property itself is beautiful. The pool is excellent, there is a private beach where you can enjoy parasailing, and the backwaters behind the hotel offer water activities at reasonable prices.

Worst experience. We had booked ocean view rooms but the rooms we had did not have any ocean view. Only we could see was pool and trees. When asked for better view rooms, they said all rooms have partial view only. Also, even though beach was good, the property did not utilise it properly. The restaurant was inside without any view. Also the food quality was very poor and very little options. The rooms had leaking AC. When we came the room was full of water on floor with a bad smell. Pool was good but it closes at 7:00 pm. So you have to adjust your routine for pool experience Bathrooms were overflowing and locks not working Room service was very poor. You have to call 3 to 4 times to get 2 bottles of water. Overall, you are not getting what you are charged for So stay away.

Fab location but quite dated hotel. Air con not great and none in bathroom and no fans, hairdryers broken. Very strong damp smell. Room service and contact by phone difficult. Very loud music from 5pm until 11pm. Restaurants reasonable but arriving at buffet at 730pm when it started at 7pm and no Sri Lankan curry left, took forever and a few requests to get them to refill but by the time this was done was 845pm and too late to eat. Check in and check out quite slow so don’t be in a rush. Boat service great. Pool towels need cards to get and have to pay for mattresses for loungers. Can’t take pool towels to the beach and no loungers on the beach. Very strong undertow so not the best for sea swimming. Good hotel if you want to sunbathe by a pool and not bothered if you eat non Sri Lankan food. Lovely breakfast with fresh egg hoppers. Pool bar staff great.
Oenone Mills
We had a pleasant stay at NH Bentota Ceysands Resort. Check-in took longer than expected, welcome drinks were not served, whereas I noticed that other guests were served. So customer service at arrival could be improved. However, the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and relaxing. The food was good, and the staff around the hotel were very friendly. Special thanks to Praneetha, Pradeep, Eshan, Navod, and the pool bar team for their exceptional service. They were super attentive, served great drinks — especially the Sri Lankan Sunrise — and made our pool time truly enjoyable.
