My experience at Moxy Hotel Times Square was absolutely unacceptable. After checking in, dropping off my belongings, and returning later, I discovered another set of guests had been checked into the same room I paid for. My personal items were inside, and the situation escalated into a confrontation with those guests. Staff were disorganized, unhelpful, and no manager with authority ever properly addressed the issue. My belongings were even left outside the room door in the hallway—a clear violation of hotel policy and guest privacy. This was not just a mistake—it may fall under negligence and breach of contract, violating basic hospitality laws that ensure guest safety and privacy. I was given apologies but no real resolution, and even the refund process was mishandled. Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. I am still in complete disbelief! This type of error is dangerous and should never happen in a professionally run hotel. I strongly urge hotel management and corporate headquarters to investigate this incident seriously. As a paying customer, I deserve better than apologies and confusion. This was a complete failure of hospitality and protocol, and legal action is being considered if proper accountability is not taken..

I had a great experience here for 2 nights. My room was a tighter fit than other hotels, but exactly what I wanted for my stay in downtown New York City! Side note, I thought the shower was fantastic! I also visited the rooftop bar AND restaurant, which both exceeded my expectations. The rooftop bar was decorated exceptionally, and had great views.

Moxy was great overall, but for $300+ a night, we weren’t impressed! Still a clean place to sleep at night and conveniently located so close to lots of highlights of NYC, but we didn’t leave with the impression that this would be a place we visit again and again. No parking nor discounted rates for the super expensive parking next door. The bar on the roof top gets packed with non-guest outsiders- mostly a well dressed younger crowd. The bouncer even happily gets some cash from random outsiders to let them in the elevator ahead of everyone else. The $20 food n beverage credit to be used on the second floor bar/restaurant or the cafe next door was great. You better use it at cafe Avignon next door- very good stuff!! Rooms are clean. Cleaning service was also top notch! No fridge in the room, and the room was really tight albeit accommodating all your needs. You may hear some noise at night but great job with rooms overall. Check in and check out were smooth. Decent experience for us overall with price tag being a little over.

Axel and Joanne were working the front desk when my mom and I arrived after a crazy day of traveling. They both had such positive and upbeat attitudes even though their check-in servers went down! They made sure my mom was able to get off her feet and chatted with me while they did everything they could to get the system up and running. They even made sure we had cool drinks while we waited. I appreciate them for making the check-in process not a headache! If they were any indication of how the Moxy runs then I am definitely looking forward to our stay for several days! ****Update! Finally back from our trip to NYC and I miss the Moxy staff! Axel and Joanne greeted my mom and I every afternoon and always asked about our excursions and if we needed any help figuring out supper. I know the rooms are small but they had everything we needed including lots of hooks to plan our outfits! Every afternoon my mom and I would enjoy a drink at the bar on the second floor and Katherine was always there to take care of us! She was extremely personable and kind just like all of the staff we encounter at the Moxy. I have no clue when I will get to return but I can promise that if I am staying in the city I will be trying to stay at the Moxy Times Square!

This hotel is conveniently located right by MSG, Penn Station, and Times Square. Employees are very friendly and helpful. The rooms with twin beds are TINY. The bed is wall to wall, sink and bathroom are right next to the door with minimal space between that and the bed. Comfortable enough for one person and for a short stay. Did not have a desk and chair like I was expecting either. It was a little surprising compared to what I expected looking at the photos. Food from the bar was not bad and there's a pretty good food voucher included with the room rate. Would probably stay again for the convenience of location and the friendly staff. Now for my standard comments. Location is decently clean and well-kept. Walls and window sill could have been cleaner but not a big deal.
