I absolutely love staying at this hotel! The first time I visited was a few months ago while preparing for a big audition, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Craig at the front desk stood out immediately—he was incredibly accommodating, thoughtful, and even offered encouraging words that truly helped me feel calm and confident during such a big moment in my life. He went above and beyond to make my time at the Moxy memorable. When I returned a few months later, I was greeted with the same exceptional hospitality. Nelly was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed for a smooth stay. On that trip, I also had the chance to meet Antonio, another team member who showed the same genuine kindness and commitment to great service. Beyond the amazing staff, the hotel itself has such a fun, vibrant energy that makes every stay enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and stylish, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the attention to detail makes it feel like more than just a place to sleep—it’s truly an experience. The hospitality here is unmatched, and every visit has left me feeling taken care of and appreciated. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and look forward to many more stays in the future!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I love the location and also I just love the vibes of this hotel. I did have some scheduling issue during this trip and Ricky was so kind and helped me have a late check out. This is definitely more of an adult hotel, if you are a light sleeper you can kinda hear the noise from the rooftop bar so be warned. But you can't beat the location because it's so close to Penn Station and Times Square.

The rooms are extremely small. The hallways are dim late. You can barely see within the elevator elevators. It looks more like a shady place than a family hotel (though the place is safe). I will not stay here with the family or on a business trip. If you want to have a high energy vibe you can always go to Time Square instead of making your hotel a club like atmosphere.

Moxy was great overall, but for $300+ a night, we weren’t impressed! Still a clean place to sleep at night and conveniently located so close to lots of highlights of NYC, but we didn’t leave with the impression that this would be a place we visit again and again. No parking nor discounted rates for the super expensive parking next door. The bar on the roof top gets packed with non-guest outsiders- mostly a well dressed younger crowd. The bouncer even happily gets some cash from random outsiders to let them in the elevator ahead of everyone else. The $20 food n beverage credit to be used on the second floor bar/restaurant or the cafe next door was great. You better use it at cafe Avignon next door- very good stuff!! Rooms are clean. Cleaning service was also top notch! No fridge in the room, and the room was really tight albeit accommodating all your needs. You may hear some noise at night but great job with rooms overall. Check in and check out were smooth. Decent experience for us overall with price tag being a little over.

This isn’t about the hotel, it’s the Rooftop bar. There are 2 sections where 1 is calm and the other has the party atmosphere! Drinks were NYC prices for this type so expect. The ambience is what you’re going for! The view of Empire State Building adds to that. Great to experience so try it out one night while in NYC. Weekends will have more partying atmosphere and people. Had a blast!!
