Stayed with my wife and son during the 2nd week of December as Phuket heads into peak season. Going on holiday with the family I wanted somewhere that was more family oriented than the busy area around Patong beach but still lively enough in the immediate vicinity. Paradox has direct access to Karon beach from the rear of the resort which is very convenient along with a variety of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. It takes around 20~30 minutes to get to Patong beach, or Phuket Old Town depending on the time so it's very convenient. We also wanted to do an island hopping excursion and again Chalong Pier is around 20 minutes away. We staying in one of the newer refurbished rooms in the courtyard which may not have the more traditional feel but I prefer the modern clean styling. My biggest complaint about the room is trying to figure out which light switch turns of which light but this seems to be a conspiracy with all hotels. Sure, I can turn everything off in one go but good luck if you want to turn off the bedside table under-light without physically unplugging it. Service was simply excellent. The staff are all very nice and go above and beyond to help. We have to be careful due to a dairy allergy and the hotel staff always made sure to err on the side of caution and make sure there was no accidents. One of the chefs also spoke with us and helped to make specific dishes for dinner in advance which was greatly appreciated. The main pool and island bar looks great and the water slide keeps kids (and adults) entertained. For younger kids it’s much easier just to stay in the great hotel pool instead of heading down to the beach. Overall I think this is a great choice for families looking for a premium experience at a reasonable price.

Gorgeous hotel and Bungalows, lovely staff, very attentive and always friendly, beautiful gardens and pool area, I also really liked the separate private pool for the garden villa renters. Easy access to beautiful Karon beach with cheap sunbeds for daily rent and little stalls where you can grab some cold drinks. I would definitely recommend for couples, maybe with one child. It's got a very calm and quiet vibe there. 7-11 and other restaurants close by as well as massage parlors, bars etc. Much calmer vibe than Patong to other parts of the island, also not as "sleezy" feeling, more upscale. Easy to get to other parts of the island with Bolt or Grab/Tuktuk.

The resort is located across the beach and has all the amenities one can think of. The staff are friendly barring one or two buggy drivers who are burnt out driving around. Tony from Cafe Studio was brilliant!! They seem under staffed with the breakfast volume and one chef apparently so food takes a while at times to get to the table. Anan at reception was very courteous and I wish I took all the other names but they were all brilliant! The security staff manning the residences were very helpful and the pool staff too. I cannot fault the service in any way. Clearly the HR and training department is doing a good job with getting the right staff. The only glitch is that the hotel is not wheelchair friendly. Many steps to climb and we had to carry the wheelchair up. If your audience is not the disabled, then you have to mention it on booking platforms. My shoulders are in pain carrying the wheelchair up and down steps.

Excellent staff. Rooms are well serviced. Restaurant food is great, has a good spread of cuisines and the Thai food is worth trying. Kitchen Staff also accommodate special requests, if needed. Quick with check-in and check-out. Front desk staff are very well spoken. Additional staff for travel planning in Phuket, great recommendations and complete packages for a reasonable price. Sea access is through the back gate which is a 5-7 min walk through the resort. Lots of nice pool chairs and other places to chill within.

I stayed at Paradox Resort Phuket for 7 nights and debated between a 3 and 4-star rating for the following reasons: Good Points: - Service Orientation: The staff were genuinely service-oriented and seemed happy to assist from the heart. - Willingness to Help:They made every effort to accommodate our needs, demonstrating a strong desire to provide good service. - Location: The resort is in a fantastic spot—quiet yet conveniently close to attractions. - Beach Quality: The beach is amazing and very clean; I loved it! - Activities: There are several engaging activities available that caught my attention. Areas for Improvement: - 5-Star Standards: The resort has a long way to go to truly earn its 5-star rating. - Checkout Process: My checkout experience was complicated and frustrating. - Language Barrier: Communication was a challenge; the staff struggled with English, which made it difficult to report an issue with the bathroom sink. Unfortunately, it remained unresolved during our stay. - Mosquito Problem: I had a tough time with mosquitoes; despite the hotel's pest control measures and using repellent, I was still bitten frequently. - Pillows was not up to 1 star hotel, very bad, not comfortable and screwed my sleep quality big time. Overall, I wouldn't repeat it again because of the last 3 points.
