If you choose the Royal Mare Thalasso & Spa Resort Ultra All-Inclusive package, the programme consists of 24-hour service, with all meals served in a range of restaurants. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

Firstly, the staff are so accommodating and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food in the main restaurant is of a high standard, with constant variation. The salad items are always fresh and crisp. The included wines and beers are palatable and always cold. There are several themed restaurants which are amazing. The bars have some great cocktails and the measures are just right. Obviously, you can ask for stronger drinks if required, but the standard measures are good. The hotel complex is on an incline, but the reception staff are quite keen to send a driver and electric buggy for guests with mobility issues. Overall, a good relaxing holiday. There are obviously things that could be improved upon, but you have to look hard for them. We plan on returning sometime in the future.

We spent a wonderful week at the hotel and would like to share our impressions. First of all, we really liked the style of the hotel — modern, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Everything was clean, both in the rooms and throughout the property, and the service was consistently excellent. We especially appreciated the availability of food and drinks throughout the day. The private pools are a fantastic idea for families with children — they gave us a sense of privacy and comfort. It was also very convenient that everything we needed could be bought either on the hotel grounds or nearby. Since we booked tables at the à la carte restaurants in advance, we were able to try them all. Our favorite was the Allegro restaurant — the Italian food was outstanding! On the other hand, the pan-Asian restaurant didn’t quite meet our expectations. The main buffet always offered a wide variety of dishes — meat, fish, vegetarian options. We especially remember the profiteroles — they would disappear from the trays in seconds! We’d like to give special thanks to Maria, a waitress in the main restaurant. She was very attentive and friendly — it was always a pleasure to be served by her. The only disappointment was the sea — there were waves most of the time, and the bottom was covered with sharp, slippery stones. We didn’t feel safe going in with our child. Overall, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the hotel staff. We definitely recommend this hotel both for families and for couples or solo travelers without children.

We stayed for a week in June. We had a great time. Couldn’t thank the staff enough, they really go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely to see all the staff with a smile and genuinely enjoying their job. The hotel, rooms and grounds are very clean. The food was superb! Already looking forward to returning next year. 🙂

Beautiful resort! The location is perfect — right on the beach with amazing views. There’s a great mix of pools, restaurants, and quiet spots to relax. The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help. The spa was definitely one of the highlights — definitely worth a visit. The food was varied and tasty, especially in the à la carte restaurants. A great place to relax and enjoy the Cretan sunshine.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and overall had a wonderful experience. The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The location is fantastic, and the hotel itself is immaculate, well-organized, and beautifully designed. We stayed in a luxurious suite with a private pool. While the room was elegant and pampering, the pool water was quite cold, which was disappointing, especially considering the hot weather. The resort is huge—like a small village—so be prepared to do a fair bit of walking, but it’s a lovely place to explore. The main downside for us was the food. The buffet had variety but most of the dishes were bland. The resort features six à la carte restaurants, but you must book them well in advance—most were fully booked during our stay. Even when we did manage to dine in one, the quality was just average. Also worth noting: from 12:00 to 18:00, food is extremely limited (only crepes and ice cream are available), which was unexpected and frustrating in an all-inclusive resort. On a positive note, the alcohol selection was nice and the cocktails were very good, with great bar service. In conclusion, this is a beautiful resort with exceptional staff, and we’re glad we stayed there. But the food experience fell short, especially for an all-inclusive hotel. If food is a top priority for you, manage your expectations—but otherwise, it's a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy.
