This place is a pleasure to stay at. It is pricey, but the service and quality is par excellence. I am not a fan of buffet breakfasts, however this place is an exception. The chefs take great pride in preparing the food and the presentation is sublime. The variety and quality of the breakfast is excellent and surpasses many 5 star hotel buffets that I have experienced. There is a small sandy beach on the premises, which means that you could spend all your time in the hotel, however it would be a shame not to explore the area.

The staff across the board were absolutely friendly and accommodating. They could not have been nicer, particularly the manager and front desk staff. The location was stunning and offered many opportunities for privacy. The food is great but repetitive if you don't go out for lunch and/or dinner often. There is a party atmosphere in the evenings with music, food and drinks on the patio. This is something to consider if you don't stay in one of the villas. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated. The queen beds seemed on the small side and if you ask for twin beds, as my daughter and I did, what you get is the queen in the master bedroom and the sofa that does not pull out in the suite's living room The rooms overlook the noisy patio, and, several nights of our stay, revelers stayed out there having a great time well after closing. This is great if you plan to be out late as well, but can be problematic if you have an early flight or early work calls in the morning. I would definitely go back, but plan to reserve a villa that is away from the main building. As I said, you will never find a nicer or more hospitable staff.

Very special and unique hotel that truly amazed us! Feels like a boutique hotel even though it is quite large. The hotel spans around a large stretch of seaside and having private sunbeds, there is lot of privacy and time for relaxation. We had a seafront bungalow with a stunning balcony and view directly onto the sea. The water is very clear and nice. There are two smaller beaches with sand, the other areas are on rocks, which is perfectly fine. Breakfast and food was great, staff was very friendly

This is one of the nicest hotels I have had the opportunity to visit. We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel is located right on the ocean and has two of its own beaches for guests. In addition to the beaches, there are several ladders offering direct access to the ocean from the resort's lounge chairs. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive throughout our stay. Not only was the check-in and check-out process seamless, they also ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The on-site restaurants offer delicious food at reasonable prices. We ate right on the ocean's edge and saw some incredible moon rises. There are also several restaurants within a five minute walk if you want to eat somewhere else. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and furniture allows for comfortable lounging. I would highly recommend staying here while in Crete.

Cheyne Brooking

Everything about this place absolutely blew my mind. We had a waterfront bungalow for our honeymoon in early October and it was surreal. The location is unbeatable, the environment is unbelievable. The sea access, the rooms, the service, the food, the drinks, the price, I could go on and on. It is impossible for me to speak highly enough of this experience as a whole. Life-changing. Thank you to the whole Minos Art Hotel team for making this an unforgettable experience, we feel so fortunate we got to be here.
