We recently stayed at the Mida Grande Resort in Phuket for a family vacation, and overall, it was a memorable experience especially if you’re staying in one of their villas. We had a beautiful three-bedroom villa complete with a private pool. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully designed with modern interiors, and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The staff were warm and welcoming, reflecting the renowned Thai hospitality, which we truly appreciated. However, we found the main restaurant to be slightly outdated, with limited dining options. Given Thailand’s rich culinary scene, we were hoping for a more diverse and appealing menu. Unfortunately, the food selection didn’t quite meet our expectations. While the hotel appeared to be fully booked, it never felt crowded. The main pool area is relatively small, which might explain why it was often quiet. That said, the rooftop pool was a highlight offering stunning sunset views and a great bar to unwind in the evenings. One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Coming from the Middle East, we had higher expectations, particularly around the variety of fruits available. Despite Thailand’s incredible fruit selection, the breakfast buffet was quite limited — with some mornings offering only watermelon. In summary, if you’re booking a villa, the Mida Grande Resort is a great choice for families. It provides privacy, comfort, and a peaceful atmosphere — a lovely setting for a relaxing stay in Phuket.

Our stay at Mida Grande was lovely. We went for the all include package which included a large menu and selection of drinks to choose from (the actual menu’s were affordable and lots to choose from too for anyone that wanted just room). The staff were so lovely and made us feel super welcome. Areas are clean and pools were a great place to relax. Hotel is a short walk from Surin beach in a very quiet yet friendly area. All other tourist places are a cab journey away.

So while travelling around Phuket it’s nice to be able to get a day pass allowing you to enjoy the facilities that are on offer. This type of experience helps you decide in the future if the hotel is worth staying at in the future. Not at The Mida who has a No Pass policy! I ve stayed at the Mida in the past and its general standard of cleanliness is pretty poor especially with the rooftop pools, my visit recently was to see if anything has changed, well you won’t know until you’ve paid your money and rolled the dice with your upcoming experience. Plenty of top hotels in the area that are far more welcoming with nothing to hide.

We had a 2 week stay at the beginning of March at the Mida Grande Resort Phuket. It was a wonderful experience and given this was our first time in Thailand. I would like to give praise to all the staff including at the restaurant Khun Jack, PakPao, Mint, Nischa, Sophia, the waiters and omelette ladies. Their service and smiles always set us up nicely for breakfast. The men who transported us using the buggies, around to our accommodation in building 7 were so kind and looked after us as we are slightly of advanced age and this really helped. The reception staff were very kind and thanks to Khun Toy who was always there to assist us as were her team. We would want to provide a special thanks to Khun Nitchanan Kwansrisut for her kindness and went out of her way to ensure our comfort and needs were met, nothing was to much trouble for her and we would like to commend her and hope the hotel recognises her efforts in some way. We have stayed in many hotels over the years. However this hotels staff were exemplary and made all the difference to our holiday, making our stay memorable. They treated us so well and made us feel like part of the Mida Family. We hope one day to return and meet our friends again or visit another Mida resort. Thank you very much from Papa and Mama

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Rooms marked down for dirty shower train and lots of dust under the bed. Otherwise the room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. The staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful especially my personal favourite An be sure to have a chat with him he's such a lovely guy. Location was perfect for my needs, a little outside of the nightlife and mayhem. So I could pick it up and put it down as I please. I would stay again.
