    Meliá Caribe Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort. The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

    We have been here for 4 days and have really enjoyed our stay! As we have navigated the bars and restaurants, our favorite is the bar outside of La Hacienda! Stanley and Mayra have been amazing! I really appreciated the personal service they have given my family! We didn’t have reservations for dinner one night, they were able to work us in and made my 3 boys feel very welcome! When coming back 3 nights later, they remembered my boys and the exact drinks they loved! They were great!

    The beach here is absolutely beautiful. The water is calm enough for the kids to enjoy. The only downside of being the the beach is constantly being hounded by vendors. If you're going to book an excursion you're better off going through your transport if you had one, we used Amstar and would use them again. John Burk Sanchez gave us some great advice while booking our excursions. The food was delicious, we had breakfast at Riviera (Level) every morning and Santa De La Cruz was wonderful, she took care of us. Hacienda was outstanding and their new restaurant Cape Nao right on the beach was delicious as well. We weren't impressed by the Italian spot, Rosso, the food was good but the staff were rude. If you want a calmer poolside experience and more options I recommend upgrading to The Level. In that area you also get a personal concierge to help make dinner reservations, share daily activities etc. Jesus Emmanuel took great care of us and made sure the kids had plenty of treats in their room. We do wish we had another couple days, once we got the hang of everything it was time to leave.

    Overall nice resort. We stayed in the two bedroom level suite and enjoyed the space. The room is dated but spacious and comfortable. Food and service are fine but not five star. Entertainment is great especially for children. My 8 year old loved the splash park. We had some great service and some not so great. Standouts were Manual from the restaurants team and Reynardo our concierge who was friendly, helpful and responsive! I would recommend the Level when staying at this resort. The exclusive beach, pool, lounge and restaurant were very nice touches and improved our experience. The Level staff at checkin are not friendly. That could be improved especially since that is your first impression. Otherwise, most staff are very nice. I would come back if the Level staff was better. Unfortunately, they really didn’t make us feel welcome and I don’t think I would come back to a place like that.

    The restaurant Rosso was so good and the service was top notch. They automatically bring you an antipasto for the table. The salad choices are plentiful and delicious. I had a pear salad and my daughter had the Eggplant - fantastic. I had the Bolignese, my wife had the linguine with clams and my daughter had Papadalle pasta - they were all so delicious that we kept passing our plates to each other. The service was super attentive and my wine glass was never empty - Stephanie & Jennifer was on their game making sure my family was well attended to. I recommend not missing out on this choice of restaurant for dinner. Go to Rosso! You won’t be disappointed!

    Roosso is an amazing place to eat, it is very beautiful and the food was AMAZING!!!! I had the T-Bone and was the best by far… The service was top notch, very attentive and took care of all our needs. Frankie & Juan was very patient as we changed our order several times but he handled it with a smile and got it right. I highly recommend Roosso’s. ask for Frankie and Juan at the door, they will take very good care of you.
