Had a great stay at Meliá Phuket Mai Khao for 5 nights with a Luxury Escapes package which included all our meals and drinks throughout the day at the pool. It was a luxury resort for the 2 of us to relax and enjoy not having to think about anything. The staff and management were very friendly and accommodated us very well. I am Gluten Intolerant (Ceoliac) and the restaurant and all hospitality staff knew of my dietary needs, they created a special menu for both restaurants that allowed me to not have to think about what I could eat. They recognised us each time we went to eat, even remembering our room number... very friendly and great service. The location was great and the room with it's private pool and outdoor bath was very enjoyable and romantic. The room was large and an escape when needed. Internet services were great. All was exceptionally clean and the activities including bike ride around the village and beach was fun... the spa was amazing and so relaxing. Definately worthwhile for couples, but there were some families as well.

We spent almost 10 days at the Meliá Phuket and our stay was wonderful. We were greeted with a cold drink and shown to our room. All the staff were very friendly and respectful. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and with the terrace and a bathtub in the room, you can really relax. The breakfast was also delicious, with a wide selection of Thai specialties. The staff was very attentive, and the Guest Experience team was always happy to give us tips for excursions. All in all, our stay was fantastic, and we will definitely be back.

we he'd highly expectation but unfortunately we are a bit disappointed. it doesn't seem right in this kind of premium hotel not to have an espresso machine. second ,in other room there was a nespreso machine but the capsule was local not originally. the breakfast was bed !!! all breads and pastry were not fresh at all .Juice Machine not working and not clean. other food that's need to be warm was cold. long waiting for the order like eggs and omelets . other than that I have to say that the crew was wonderful and kind. the dining restaurant were great. really great food. the rooms were outstanding. if you are searching for extreme silence in Thailand this is the right place for you.

Stunning resort, shockingly poor service — staff ruined the experience We stayed at Meliá Phuket Mai Khao and honestly left disappointed and surprised. The property itself is beautiful — gorgeous premises, amazing pools, and a spacious, comfortable room. Unfortunately, the service was so consistently bad that it completely overshadowed the resort’s potential. The problems started the moment we arrived. There was nobody to greet us, and we had to find the reception on our own. When we finally got there, the reception staff were cold, unwelcoming, and uninterested. Throughout our visit, it felt like every request was “too much trouble” for the staff. Even simple things became unnecessarily difficult. For example, at the cocktail bar we were standing and waiting to be served, clearly visible, and staff simply ignored us. One day, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work for the entire day. Maintenance eventually fixed it and we were given two vouchers as an apology. But using those vouchers turned into another unpleasant experience — staff didn’t want to accept them, had to call managers multiple times, and treated us in a suspicious, accusatory way, as if we were trying to cheat the system. Near the end of our stay, we contacted reception about a baby umbrella we accidentally left at the pool. We were told they would get back to us ASAP — of course, nobody did. Only a day after we had already left Thailand and returned to Switzerland, they finally sent me a picture confirming they had the umbrella. I asked how much it would cost to ship it back, and then… no response at all. The final moment summed it all up. While leaving for our taxi, I asked reception if we could get water for the ride. I was told I could buy it at the restaurant. At a so-called luxury resort, that’s honestly unbelievable. And even worse: the water they sell comes with a one-use cap, so you can’t even close the bottle again — completely impractical, especially when traveling. This is a luxury, stunning property with so much potential, but it’s being entirely ruined by rude, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. I won’t recommend it to anyone until the hotel seriously invests in training and service culture. We stayed at several other hotels in Thailand (including Kempinski, Mandarava, Carlton, Mandarin Oriental ) and the service was excellent .Thai people are naturally very friendly — so the attitude at Meliá Phuket Mai Khao really stood out in the worst way. Management needs to take responsibility here. The team at the top should be retrained or replaced if they want to save this resort’s reputation. Information for Meliá brand - I created a customer profile to collect points for future visits somewhere else, but the staff at this resort didn`t even transfer the purchase history into Meliá points. Maybe I can still receive them somehow?

We had a very enjoyable stay at Meliá Phuket Mai Khao and would especially recommend it to those looking for a peaceful retreat immersed in nature. The location is truly exclusive, situated in the far north of the island with nothing around it, making it ideal for a quiet getaway, relaxation and disconnection from everyday life. That said, being so close to nature also comes with a few considerations. We encountered all sorts of wildlife on the property, including toads, snakes, and lizards. Fortunately, none of them entered our villa, but guests should be prepared for this aspect of the experience. In the evenings, more lighting around the pathways would be very welcome, particularly when walking to the restaurant for dinner, to avoid any unpleasant encounters. We stayed in a one-bedroom wellness villa with a private pool and absolutely loved it. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed with a refined and elegant décor, spotlessly clean, and equipped with every amenity one could possibly need. The private pool was unfortunately far too cold to use, but the wellness premium amenities more than made up for this. The daily spa treatments included in the package were a true delight. YHI Spa is an absolute gem. We thoroughly enjoyed the multiple treatments we had during our stay, choosing something different each day, and every single visit was a pleasure. From the very beginning, we were always welcomed by genuinely warm and professional therapists. Each experience started with a hot cup of tea and a relaxing foot massage, immediately setting the tone for complete relaxation. In terms of dining, the restaurants offered excellent food, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. The dishes were well prepared, tasty and thoughtfully presented, with the added benefit of being able to choose between two different menus and restaurants, one more Thai-focused and the other more European in style. Breakfast, however, was a disappointment. The attempt to present certain items as “Spanish” was misleading and poorly executed. As a Spaniard, I found this particularly disappointing and even insulting, as the dishes bore no resemblance to authentic Spanish cuisine and gave guests a completely wrong impression. None of the items presented with a Spanish flag were authentic: things like extra virgin olive oil, tortilla de patatas, Tarta de Santiago, or Gouda cheese (which is Dutch) were shocking and hard to see on the buffet table. It would be far better to focus on well-prepared Thai and local options, which is after all what people come to Thailand for. Overall, Meliá Phuket Mai Khao is a beautiful and tranquil resort, ideal for nature lovers and anyone seeking a wellness-focused escape. We chose it knowing it is part of a high-quality Spanish hotel brand, and the resort certainly delivers in many ways. With a few improvements, it could provide an even more outstanding experience.
