It was convenient, cleaning took place every day and you will find something to eat for each meal. Never the less its not worth 5 stars. We spent 10 days of which 4 of them not in the room as booked. So we had to discuss and fight for the room which we actually paid more than we received. The employees responsible for level guests didnt really try to make your stay great, they were mostly concerned for the resorts profit and their own time on the mobile phone 😅

We had a lovely holiday at this hotel. The room was spectacular, very spacious with a great balcony. Food is good always got with a good choice. The location is good very close to the beach and a nice walk into Santa Maria (40 minutes along a paved road). The hotel also provides a shuttle bus. Special mention to Anderson at reception, he went above and beyond when he helped us. Thanks.

The hotel staff at Melia Llana are exceptionally polite, attentive, and genuinely considerate. As a couple with dietary restrictions (halal or Vegetarian if halal not available), I contacted the hotel prior to our stay and received clear assurances that whilst they cannot accommodate halal, all vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were prepared separately. Upon arrival, the team kindly arranged a meeting with the head chefs to further discuss our requirements and provide additional reassurance. Although the buffet presented challenges due to some guests not being mindful—for example, using the same utensils for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes or allowing serving tongs to come into contact with non-vegetarian food on their plates before returning them to the vegetarian food tray, thereby compromising otherwise vegetarian items—some of these issues could be reduced by designating a separate section for vegetarian dishes. However, given the potential for human error, the kitchen team’s proactive approach and professionalism were particularly appreciated. When the head chef noticed our hesitation, he immediately offered to have our meals prepared and served directly from the kitchen to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination. This thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated and made our stay much more comfortable. Our sincere thanks to Chefs Mikias, Mario, and Valtro for their outstanding care and attention. Their efforts ensured we could enjoy our meals with complete peace of mind. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Guests with specific dietary requirements—whether halal, kosher, vegan, or vegetarian—can feel confident that Melia Llana’s culinary team will do their utmost to accommodate them. We would also like to thank Managers Nilson and Jandiro, who were consistently visible and proactive in engaging with guests to ensure a pleasant stay. It is evident that they take genuine pride in maintaining a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. The rooms, while slightly dated, were spotlessly clean and serviced daily. The bed was large and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the beachfront directly in front of the hotel is lovely, with easy access to the water, which is not the case in some other sections on this stretch. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, made all the more memorable by the professionalism and care of the Melia Llana team.

A very beautiful hotel with plenty of space. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive to guests’ needs. We especially enjoyed the food at Mosaico - breakfasts and lunches offered similar dishes, but the themed dinners with different cuisines were excellent. Our favorite was probably the Cabo Verdean dinner. I also really enjoyed the Ayurveda Tea Program - it was so tasty!

A very nice hotel. Rooms were spacious. Pools and surrounding areas clean and tidy. Good food selection at meal time although the service did drop off towards the end of our stay. Very helpful staff who were very accomadating.
