We stayed in Boat suite with pool access and Level access. Boat suite is disappointing- small bedroom upstairs, steep stairs leading from ground floor to the bedroom, room gets very hot as it’s right under the roof, and aircon unit is right opposite the bed blasting out cold air in your face. Aircon is very old and noisy. All boat suites are overlooked so you can’t really open the curtains without having someone peeking through from villas next door or looking into someone’s room. Limited storage and wardrobes could definitely have more drawers/ shelves. Room needs updating and outdoor area looks very tired as well. Great to have access to Level lounge but feel it was too full for its capacity. Also feel lounge should be adults only- have nothing against kids but the hotel is lacking adult vibes if you know what I mean. There’s swim up bar right next to kids playroom which is weird- we saw parents getting smashed and falling over during happy hour while “looking after” their kids playing in the pool. This is kind of place where you need to rush out at dawn to put your towels to secure best sun loungers which we didn’t expect in Melia! Loungers and sun sofas around main pool and boat villas need some deep cleaning and/or replacement. If you have to stay here- save your money on boat suites and just book swim up rooms- your bedroom and bathroom will be bigger with better access to the pool. Overall would not recommend.

This is a really nice hotel in perfect position. Super nice real sand beach to just walk barefoot into the water and enjoy life. Nice rooms, especially swim up rooms looking nice. If you like swimming you have space right in front of room. One restaurant. The Level as always with special treats if you want this. Super friendly staff.

Our recent stay at Meliá Koh Samui has been absolutely extraordinary. Having previously stayed in Meliá Bali which was an outstanding experience in itself, Meliá Koh Samui surpassed all our expectations and proved to be one of the best luxury resorts that we’ve ever stayed in. The staff here have been nothing short of amazing through their genuine hospitality. They’ve made me and my family feel welcome all throughout our trip. The level connecting rooms were extremely comfortable and well maintained. Having a pool access with a water slide right in front of our rooms was an absolute delight for our children. We enjoyed the various pools at the resort, the pristine beach front which was absolutely stunning and perfect for young children. Having their own little ice cream shop was a delightful treat for the kids. The level experience was simply oustanding. The level lounge was our favourite hangout spot each day for snacks, beverages and evening cocktails with magnifcent views of the ocean. We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to Looknam, Kate and Marina from Breeza restaurant who made us feel very welcome and whom we’ve become very fond of. Thank you Looknam for taking such good care of us. You are absolutely wonderful. Also a special mention to Auto, Baw, Lisa, Pink, Tamarind, Matteo, K, Selena and Rainbow for always welcoming and greeting us. I can whole heartedly say that Melia Koh Samui is a beautiful resort surrounded by its beautiful staff who value your presence to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable. They maintain high luxury standards worthy of their global reputation and I would certainly return to Melia with my family in a heartbeat. Thank you once Meliá Koh Samui for a wonderful holiday. You are the best!
Sofea Aemilia
We stayed at Meliá for 5 nights and had an amazing experience from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was good, though it could have included more Thai dishes. The breakfast staff were wonderful—helpful, humble, and always remembered us and our room number. Shopping was convenient with the hotel’s free shuttle, and when it wasn’t available, the reception and concierge team kindly helped us get a taxi. The Yhi Spa was amazing and truly relaxing. The hotel is very close to the beach, making it easy to visit anytime, and there are many nearby restaurants for meals. Special thanks to Selena, Lucy, Jzy, Daniel, K, Deaw, Auto, Miew, Natty, Bay, Krod, BB, and Pang. Even if I missed a few names, the entire Meliá team made us feel very welcome and gave us a wonderful stay.

A beautiful hotel with an amazing pool area by the beach. The rooms are spacious and modern. The staff were lovely and very attentive to details. We especially appreciated the room upgrade upon check-in, thanks to Rainbow, who was very welcoming and kind. Auto was also very friendly and helpful with our luggage. We had a small complaint about noisy guests talking and partying late at night in the rooms and corridors. Although this was not the hotel’s fault, the situation was handled very professionally, and we were kindly offered another room. Overall, a very pleasant stay with excellent service.
