Absolutely amazing honeymoon stay! From the very first moment, we felt incredibly well taken care of. The entire team, from the managers to the restaurant, bar, pool staff, and drivers was exceptional. We have honestly never experienced so much attention, kindness, and genuine care anywhere else. The food was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, but our special romantic dinner at the Jetty was truly unforgettable! A huge thank you to Peter, who took care of everything with such professionalism and warmth. Absolutely top-level service. We also loved Gabi Beach Restaurant: amazing food, great cocktails, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The Gabi Beach salads deserve a special mention, it's incredibly tasty, and we’re already missing it! We stayed at The Level Beach Pavilion, and we loved it. The ocean view from our balcony was breathtaking, and the room itself was gorgeous, elegant, spacious, and perfect for a honeymoon. The Level experience was flawless: the adults-only pool was calm and relaxing, the bar and restaurant were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. The waiters, especially Lylian, Andrea, Jordan, and the rest of the team, were exceptional. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and high-level training truly impressed us. This hotel made our honeymoon extra special, and we already miss this place so much. Thank you for creating such beautiful and unforgettable memories for us.

Minha avaliação: Stay: December 27th to January 3rd Room: 37 (Swahili Wing) Unfortunately, my stay at Meliá Zanzibar was deeply disappointing and far below expectations, especially for a property positioned as a premium resort. From the very beginning, the experience was marked by lack of preparation and poor operational management. • On more than one occasion, I returned to the room to find no towels available, something unacceptable at this level of hotel. • The air conditioning failed repeatedly, including two full days without proper cooling. An engineer later informed us that the compressor was overheating and shutting down — a technical issue clearly known and unresolved. • While we were facing this problem, other guests in nearby rooms were not, highlighting inconsistency and lack of corrective action. • After long excursions, we were repeatedly misinformed about dining options. On one occasion, we were told lunch was still being served at Gabi Beach until 5:00 pm; after traveling there by golf cart, we were informed that lunch had already ended and dinner preparations had begun. This happened more than once. • At night, alternatives were extremely limited due to overbooking, leaving guests with no real choice of where or how to dine. The food and beverage experience was particularly poor: • Wines included in the package were served incorrectly — requesting a Cabernet Sauvignon and receiving a Merlot, served in the wrong glass and at an improper temperature. • White wines were consistently served far too warm. • Overall, the quality, service knowledge, and execution were far from what is expected in an international resort brand. What stands out most is the lack of coordination, training, and guest-oriented problem solving. Issues were treated as isolated inconveniences rather than systemic failures requiring immediate resolution. This was not a matter of one incident, but a pattern of disorganization, misinformation, and lack of accountability throughout the stay. Given the reputation and positioning of the Meliá brand, this experience was surprising and disappointing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property based on this stay.

Our stay at this property was wonderful. This was our third time staying at a Melia property and this brand never disappoints. The service was exceptional. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Zanzibar. My husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and the staff made it unforgettable. I will never forget the cake and surprise dance by the staff that made us smile all night. Thank you for that special memory. Hakuna Matata ❤️

Wow! This was the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in! Beautiful garden and hotel complex, a picture-perfect beach, and the service is truly outstanding. Everyone is incredibly nice and friendly. This is exactly how you want to travel. Plus, excellent food and delicious drinks. It couldn't have been better. The shuttle service brings you everywhere in no time, therefore the distances are no problem at all. What an experience - We'll be back for sure!

I will share the positive and negative aspects of my stay The negative: The food is not great i could barely eat, nothing was tasty, breakfast, lunch and dinner was a 0. It was deceiving because i was all inclusive. Also the juices aren’t fresh. The bungalow didn’t have enough equipments. There was a very bad smell in the room the bed sheets and the towels. Also the towels had stains.. The glass for drinking was also dirty. There is no water bottle, so it’s not practical. I couldn’t take a hot shower for more than 5min the water got cold quickly it’s deceiving because there was a bath in my room that i couldn’t enjoy. During my stay there was a day with an electricity problem from the beginning of the night till the late morning. Positive: The view was incredible and the room was beautiful besides the negative part. The employees of the hotel i have nothing to say about them they are all very lovely. Special mention to Sheilah who was very nice and helpful during our stay. There is many things to do in the hotel, so that was pretty good. I appreciate that the hotel supports local people for nice shows at night.
