The most amazing, 5 star, honeymoon stay! We have just returned from Meliá, Zanzibar and what an incredible time we had. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff just cannot do enough for you - everyone is so friendly, welcoming and more than happy to chat to you. One particular waiter, Eli, was a stand out for us - a great guy, super attentive and a good laugh. We really enjoyed the food while we were there. The buffet restaurant has a different theme every night which we loved - BBQ night at the Spice Market restaurant and Swahili night down at Gabi beach were fantastic. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained - the pool area is lovely and the gardens boast beautiful trees, flowers, fruits and wildlife. Gabi beach is a short buggy ride away and is complete with a restaurant, bar, kayaks, loungers, towels and the most amazing views. There are lots of lovely activities at the hotel too, including local village and cave tour, Makuti craft and Swahili lessons. There is also plenty to do on the beautiful island of Zanzibar and nearby. The staff were also very accommodating of excursions, making us a breakfast box to take with us when we had an early start for safari. Overall, I can’t recommend Meliá Zanzibar enough, it really felt like paradise.

The atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious, making it the ideal place to relax and enjoy paradise. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a warm smile. Their hospitality made me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my stay. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully arranged for comfort. Waking up surrounded by such beauty was unforgettable. The food was another highlight — delicious, fresh, and full of variety. Every meal felt special, and the dining experience was excellent. The pool area and beach access were perfect for enjoying the sun and the breathtaking ocean views. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful escape, Malia Zanzibar is the perfect choice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar. I can’t wait to return!

I have never given any hotel 5 stars for every category. This one deserves that and more. This place has staff that go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. To be brief in my comments the staff elevated my stay to excellent and deserve to be acknowledged

Melia was a wonderful experience. Great facilities and awesome staff. David was lovely and really looked after us at all the restaurants we visited. The sea view room was brilliant. Very comfy with great views of the ocean.

Absolutely amazing honeymoon stay! From the very first moment, we felt incredibly well taken care of. The entire team, from the managers to the restaurant, bar, pool staff, and drivers was exceptional. We have honestly never experienced so much attention, kindness, and genuine care anywhere else. The food was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, but our special romantic dinner at the Jetty was truly unforgettable! A huge thank you to Peter, who took care of everything with such professionalism and warmth. Absolutely top-level service. We also loved Gabi Beach Restaurant: amazing food, great cocktails, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The Gabi Beach salads deserve a special mention, it's incredibly tasty, and we’re already missing it! We stayed at The Level Beach Pavilion, and we loved it. The ocean view from our balcony was breathtaking, and the room itself was gorgeous, elegant, spacious, and perfect for a honeymoon. The Level experience was flawless: the adults-only pool was calm and relaxing, the bar and restaurant were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. The waiters, especially Lylian, Andrea, Jordan, and the rest of the team, were exceptional. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and high-level training truly impressed us. This hotel made our honeymoon extra special, and we already miss this place so much. Thank you for creating such beautiful and unforgettable memories for us.
