We were very well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Jessica was extremely friendly and attentive during the check-in process. We would also like to thank Malange, who was very helpful and answered many of our questions regarding the resort's activities and accommodations. The food at all the restaurants we visited was delicious, especially at Rumba, which was our favorite. At the breakfast restaurant, we were always warmly welcomed and very well served by Miss Teyse every morning. Overall, the staff were very polite, welcoming, and professional. It was clear that the employees enjoy their work, which created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the resort. This is the perfect place for a vacation, as the energy and ambiance are truly amazing. The cleanliness and housekeeping services were also excellent. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful experience at Riviera. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Yohana, who is radiant with joy and provides outstanding service. She is warm, attentive, and truly makes guests feel welcome. Her positive energy really elevated our experience. We highly recommend Riviera and will definitely be coming back!

Overall, a wonderful choice. The rooms are pleasant and the location and atmosphere are fun but tranquil. We did have a poor experience with our first night; we required a third bed which was not in our room when we arrived, and had not yet been set up when we returned from dinner. We needed to ask several times and wait until after we were ready to call it a night before we got our extra bed, and didn’t get any kind of apology. However, the beach is gorgeous, the food delicious, and the rooms comfortable. The spa is wonderful and the gym is good, though some equipment needs to be updated. Finally, the biggest highlight is definitely the staff. They are friendly and thoughtful. The activities are very fun, too, without being too loud or disruptive to the experience. We enjoyed a rum tasting that was generous and informative, and they also offer dance lessons, yoga, etc. I would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Melia Caribe Beach Resort! The resort was absolutely beautiful — clean rooms, great food, very helpful staff, and just an overall amazing vibe from the moment we arrived. The beach was stunning, clean, and truly breathtaking. We especially loved how welcoming and friendly everyone was throughout the entire property. A special thank you to Edward Perez and Eridania for taking such great care of us at the Rivera pool. They provided an exceptional level of customer service — anything we needed, they made sure it was handled right away so we could fully relax and enjoy our time. Both were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. Because of them, we were able to chill without worrying about a thing. My partner unfortunately got ill with a cold she had been fighting since the beginning of the trip, and the hotel was incredibly supportive. They quickly called a doctor for us, arranged everything, and the doctor prescribed medication that helped her feel so much better. The hotel followed up and made sure we were taken care of. It cost us about $25, which was very reasonable for the convenience and care we received. We truly appreciated how they took their time to make sure we were okay. One helpful tip for future guests: don’t forget to bring small bills for tipping — $1s, $5s, and $10s are perfect to give out. It can be a bit difficult to take money out there, so coming prepared makes things much easier. Overall, an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

just stayed here over memorial weekend and this will forever be on my top 5 worst hotel stays and unfortunately will not be back to DR. Beware of all the fake reviews here that are made and somehow all only mention entertainment which is a 3rd party company fyi!! The resort is HUGE and we were in building 35 which we loved as its close to the pool and beach. The rooms are very outdated, but this is not an issue for me and only one shower head worked. daily housekeeping but did not refresh the minibar after day 1. Dinner reservations at à la carte restaurants are next to impossible to get unless you throw a fit to guest services and when you do go, you'll notice the restaurants are EMPTY. I only had the Mexican restaurant and the food here was good. Buffets were not amazing, but you will find an item or two to feed you, the servers never once came and served us anything at the buffets, completely ignored and for dinner prepare for lines. They also do not clean the tables at all at any place fyi. service just about everywhere is TERRIBLE, i brought cash to tip as I want to be generous, but this is also my hard-earned money and i dont give it to someone that gives me dirty looks and horrible service. Shoutout to the pool bar bartenders for the ONLY decent service received. Drinks are very watered down, the positive was i did not have a hangover on any of the 4 nights here. Beach is beautiful however where the lounge seats are, the sand is filthy with cigarettes, bottle caps etc.. lounge chairs are half broken unless you;'re at the level area and there is no bar service in pool or beach. There was seaweed as well due to time of year but again this does not bother me. They push that level has better service but to me if the very basic has terrible service why would I upgrade? Staff barley speaks English which again I understand but in guest facing roles it's hard to communicate and they dont try to help, they will just ignore. Im very easy going in terms of service expectations but this was wild. A concierge told me that this hotel is "cheap" and shouldn't expect much, and then he asked us to sneak him alcohol... Should be a given that I will never return here. pros: bar bartenders are amazing, and the lobby bar espresso martini was good and Mexican restaurant had good food and one very overwhelmed server that does not speak English. the hotel grounds are also really pretty and very well taken care of.
