    We had an excellent dining experience at Markado, the buffet at the Meliá resort in the Dominican Republic. The selection was fresh, delicious, and constantly replenished, with something for everyone. What truly made the experience stand out was the outstanding service from William. He was friendly, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. His welcoming attitude and professionalism made the meal feel special, even in a busy buffet setting. If you’re staying at Meliá, make sure to stop by Markado—William’s service alone makes it worth the visit. Highly recommend

    We chose this resort soecifically for the kids. The kids activities were awesome! They have different things for them everyday during the day, as well as at night. The Waterpark was tge highlight for the whole family. Very large resort. Lots of walking, however there are carts that come around frequently to pick up/drop off. The food was just okay. For a kids resort I thought they would cater to them a bit more. No fries at the buffet. Pizza was made on toast bread most nights. The burgers were super thick, and not cooked all the way through. Bacon was only available when the buffet opens at 7am for breakfast. If you show up after 8 they dont replenish. If you have fish allergies, be aware. This hotel serves a lot of fish. Mostly fish and pork. The themed nights dont look much different from a regular night as far as food is concerned. The rooms were out dated, and in my opinion were not as clean as they should be. Despite the fact that they come in to clean up everyday. When we arrived there was dust everywhere, and the couches had not been wiped clean. There was crumbs from previous guests. Its bare minimum here. They make the beds, take out the trash, and give you new towels. The staff are all very friendly. There were a select few that made our vacation very memorable. Some really go above and beyond. Over all good experience, but this hotel needs work. Would give it 3 stars of it was based on the hotel its self. However the staff and water park bumped it up a little.

    It was our first time at Melia Caribbean. I could advise you to get room with "level" mark, so, you will have same kind of extras and privileges. As well as restauranr Riviera access. Nice, cosy atmosphere. Richard was our waiter absolutely incredible. He was very cheerful and friendly. We will definitely return.

    I absolutely fell in love with this hotel! The service from everyone here is truly first-class. I especially loved the restaurant La Rumba—the food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. A huge thank-you to our servers Daniela and German for their outstanding attention and friendly attitude. They made our experience extra special, and we enjoyed every moment with them. At the buffet, the young lady who greeted us each day made us feel like family, and the buffet manager was equally warm and attentive. Their kindness really stood out and made every meal a pleasure. The food throughout the resort was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, and every staff member we met was welcoming and professional. I can’t wait to come back to Meliá Caribe. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway!
