Our family stay at the Mediterranean Palace, was enjoyable. So, despite reservations, it just (and only just) merits a 4 star review. The main issue was perhaps my high expectations. The hotel is described as five-star, but while the facilities may suggest that, the overall experience for me did not. For example, queuing for a table at breakfast was common. The main food area for breakfast and dinner gave the sense of having to fight the crowds for your food. While the food was reasonable, additionally would have expected a greater variety and better quality of fresh fruit and salads. There were lots of fish options, but veggie/vegan choices were quite limited. We opted for all-inclusive, which probably only makes sense if you drink alcohol (which we don’t). The room was good. Reasonable size, recently renovated, clean and with everything you might expect. However, the central position of our room in the hotel and on the second floor, meant we were close to the loud music that was on until 11pm each night - only really a problem if you've smaller kids with early bedtimes, as we did. I raised this at check-in but was assured it would be fine. The doors patio doors cut out a lot of the sound but, it was still worse than I'd expected; although by the end of the holiday we became more used to it. Overall experience made me feel like being a sausage in a sausage factory, not exactly the 5 star feel. However, I should also say the staff were faultlessly polite and working extremely hard. Plus, the mango smoothies from the pool bar were a highlight!

It's the 4th consecutive year we stay at Mare Nostrum Resort, and at this point have stayed at all 3 hotels. This and last year we stayed at Mediterranean palace and it's simply perfect for us. It has been completely refurbished less than 2 years ago. The rooms are well organized and modern, service is delightful especially the care and attention given to kids - the kids club is awesome (the equipment, but above all the lovely staff!), so are the pools, food variety is just right, the gym is small but well equipped. And being right by the beach is the ultimate luxury. We will definitely be back!

Great Hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. On arrival we got a welcome drink while checking in which was quick, lovely staff, we were shown to our room and everything explained, room was clean, comfy beds, tea/coffee, free safe, rain shower. We had a pool view which was nice you could sit on the balcony and listen to the entertainment at night. The whole hotel is spotless and the staff were helpful, friendly. Pool area is really nice again clean. The restaurant is lovely decorated, the meals breakfast was fine, Dinner plenty of choice. We got a voucher for a meal in one of the speciality restaurants we had Sunday lunch it was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will return

I had a great stay at the Mediterranean Palace! The hotel itself is excellent. The location is nice right near the beach, and the facilities are kept clean. I was also impressed by the extensive breakfast buffet, which had a large variety of options, including a great selection of desserts. However, the main reason for this 5-star review is the exceptional service I received, particularly from Paul in housekeeping (the gentleman with short curly hair). He was extremely friendly and incredibly thoughtful throughout my stay. It is rare to find someone so genuinely considerate and attentive to the small details that make a guest feel welcome. A great hotel with wonderful amenities, but staff members like Paul are what truly make the experience special.

We stayed at this hotel in December. It was a mountain-view room for two adults with an all-inclusive package. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the standards of a 5-star hotel, especially considering the very high price. Price & value for money We paid €5,700 for our stay, 8nights although later we saw prices of around €5,300 for the same room type. Even at the lower price, the quality of service does not justify the cost. Room & housekeeping The room itself was spacious, and the large balcony was one of the few positive aspects. The interior of the hotel is nice, but the overall hotel grounds are quite small. The bed was very large and pushed together, but uncomfortable. There is no proper standard double bed available, which is surprising for a 5-star hotel. The bed linen was constantly wrinkled and looked untidy, which is not acceptable for a 5-star hotel. Housekeeping was very poor: bed linen was never changed, only made up. We had to ask for a duvet cover for several days — staff seemed confused about the concept of a duvet cover altogether. Bathroom The shower is badly designed: when you shower, water spreads all over the bathroom floor, leaving everything wet. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Food Although there was plenty of food, the quality and variety were far below 5-star expectations. There were very limited options for vegetarians, and many vegetables and fruits were wilted. This is simply embarrassing for a hotel charging such high prices. The fruit quality was poor overall — only a few times during our stay was the papaya fresh and tasty. The menu lacked variety, breakfasts were disappointing, and only dinners were somewhat acceptable. Pool The pool was cold and not heated, which makes it unsuitable during the winter season. Overall impression We will not return to this hotel. For a much lower price, it is easy to find better hotels in Tenerife with higher service standards, better food, and real value for money. This hotel does not live up to its price or its 5-star rating. Given that the price of our stay was significantly overpriced and did not reflect the actual level of service, we believe that a refund of at least €500 would be fair.
