Our stay at Maya Resort and Spa was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. Every staff member was warm and helpful — especially Ari and Stephan, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. The resort is incredibly clean and beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery that makes it feel like a true tropical escape. We did feel the air conditioning wasn’t quite cold enough at first, but the team immediately brought us an extra fan and made sure everything was perfect — such great service! The highlight of our trip was the spa by the river — peaceful, relaxing, and absolutely stunning. Listening to the sound of the flowing water during the massage was pure bliss.

This trip was magical!! 4 days spent in paradise. Maya Ubud was by far the most beautiful hotel we’ve stayed at. We had a pool villa with a beautiful view. The spa services were fantastic, we had the best massages and then a flower bath, it felt like a dream! The food was delicious and there was a lot of variety, the last night we had a chef barbecue in our villa for a private and romantic dinner. At breakfast the team of Sutrisna, Dalem and Wira were always attentive and gave us a great service. We can’t wait to come back!

It truly feels like a tranquil escape in the heart of Ubud. The highlight of our trip was definitely the couple’s spa experience. It was simply amazing—peaceful, romantic, and incredibly relaxing. The therapists were so professional and attentive, and the ambiance made it feel like a dream. Hands down, it was the best spa experience we’ve ever had. All staff were very warm and welcoming, the facilities were beautifully maintained, and every moment felt special. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maya Ubud Resort, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff are incredibly humble and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure every guest feels comfortable and well cared for. A special mention to Pak Parka, Pak Sutrisna, Bu Erna, Bli Sadewa and others the food & beverage team – they were outstanding throughout my stay. Every interaction felt sincere, and their attention to detail made each meal a delight. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a wide variety of both local and international options, all fresh and beautifully presented. Whether you're a fan of traditional Balinese dishes or prefer Western-style breakfast, there's something for everyone. The team’s professionalism and friendly attitude made dining at the resort one of the highlights of my visit. It's clear that the F&B staff take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of service and food. I highly recommend Maya Ubud to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious retreat with top-tier service. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Coming from Hotel Indigo Seminyak, where the service and attention to detail were outstanding, I had high hopes for Maya Ubud. Unfortunately, my overall experience was underwhelming. The day before our arrival, the hotel sent a message asking what time we’d be checking in — a thoughtful touch — so I replied that we’d arrive around 1 pm and asked if early check-in was possible. No response came. Due to traffic, we arrived after 3 pm. The check-in was pleasant, but we were offered an upgrade to a corner suite for an extra 400,000 IDR per night, which turned out to be a joke. The room felt dated and not worth the upgrade — nothing about it justified the additional cost. Once inside, the TV wasn’t working, and the faucet was so tightly shut that it was difficult to open. Later I understood why — if you didn’t close it extremely hard, it dripped continuously. The staff were apologetic and fixed the TV promptly, but the faucet issue remained, which seemed unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The following day, we left around 8 am and came back after 4 pm to find the room hadn’t been cleaned. When I called housekeeping, they said we needed to request daily cleaning, which is something I’ve never encountered at a supposed 5-star property. While the surroundings are peaceful, the facilities feel tired and in need of refresh, and the service lacks attentiveness and warmth. Overall, Maya Ubud does not live up to its reputation or pricing — a disappointing experience compared to other luxury hotels in Bali.
