Outstanding, the resort is in a stunning location next to a river valley outside Ubud. Absolute peace and calm, lush vegetation, bird song. We stayed in a pool villa with butler service. The butler Puspa and his colleagues were attentive, quick to respond and very helpful. The villa had beautiful views and was an oasis of privacy. The room facilities were excellent and we loved the outdoor shower and being able to dip in the pool to cool off. The breakfast was lavish with a huge variety to suit all tastes. Service in the restaurants and bars was excellent and the staff highly courteous and efficient. All F& B outlets served excellent, well prepared food. The wifi was strong everywhere, the best I have experienced in a hotel. Communication amongst staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The staff in all departments can be very proud of the job they are doing. In terms of guest experience Maya Ubud is probably the best resort I have ever stayed in. My wife used the spa and Mika and Yuni gave superb treatments in the beautiful riverside pavillons. The spa location by the river is fantastic. A wonderful experience, we would love to return.

x Tiips (Tiips)

You might think that the photos of this resort is beautiful, wait and see it for yourself!! This has been marked as the best resort I’ve ever been to. The place is like you are inside the most fabulous jungle. I wouldn’t say you won’t find some animals and insects in the hotel and most probably inside rooms, but please don’t be afraid, the staff will support you 24/7 and they will spray and clean your rooms 2 times per day and you could ask for more. The best thing about the hotel is the staff themselves. I would like to thank Wiartana, Dharmen, Dharma, Ricky, Mana, Rika, and the other butlers and restaurant staff. I faced some issues in my room and the receptionists and hotel GMs all supported me so I would like to thank them also. Many thanks to the cleaners and room make overs. Room services deserve a good credit also. Wish you all the best. If I were to advice on something, it would be to provide more Halal food for newcomers. This is my first time in the hotel, won’t be my last!

Stayed for 5 days in January 2026 under the luxury escapes package (heavenly pool villa) and the resort was beautiful. Every corner of it was pretty and every single person we interacted with, whether at check- in, the buggy drivers, when walking around, at dinner (Mayasari) at Tree Bar, at Riverside Cafe, the pools and the spa were so kind and friendly! The food at every outlet was delicious and presented so well. Without fail we were asked everytime about any allergies and dietary requirements which was great to see. The staff were aware of our package and everything ran like a well oiled machine. The activities at Maya were great, the rice paddy guided walk, Pilates and the evening shows. One suggestion would be to do an english narration for the ramayan dance so the guests can better follow the story. The cooking class was great fun, it was just 4 guests so we got a really good intimate class on Indonesian cooking! Our pool villa was great, the pool was cleaned everyday alongside the room, the floating breakfast was very yum and our 60 min couples balinese massage was so relaxing. The ladies took their time and made sure we were comfortable with the pressure etc. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone considering Maya. We will definitely be back!

I could not have asked for a better place for my wife and I to stay for a romantic getaway. The resort itself is gorgeous, a sanctuary tucked away into the jungle. We stayed in a villa which provided the comfort and privacy we wanted, along with all the essentials and extra small things we needed. So many highlights to share - the pools, the spa, the forest trail on the property, AND THE FOOD! Do yourself a favour and get dinner at the Mayasari restaurant. Each night there was a dance performance which was authentic and a quality production. The service was also impeccable. All staff were very kind, professional, and helpful. In particular, our butlers made the stay so convenient and memorable - our sincere thanks to Yoga, Mana, and Gus for their efforts. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place.

This was my husband’s and my first trip to Bali, and we feel very lucky that we chose the right hotel. It gave us a truly wonderful start to our journey on this beautiful island. The hotel’s facilities are undoubtedly five-star. However, what touched us even more was the genuine care from every staff member we met. Through them, we experienced the kindness, openness, and warm hospitality that Bali is so well known for. Our butler was always available on WhatsApp 24/7 and patiently responded to all of my requests, big or small. The breakfast and restaurant service was both prompt and friendly, and the room service food was delicious and delivered quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to remember everyone’s name, but I would especially like to thank Mr. Diaksha, Mr. Wiartana, Ms. Deiwei, and Mr. Ari from the gym 、Our butler Trisla and Yoga for leaving such a lasting impression on us. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of us. We will definitely return with our family
