I visited Le Mauricia Hotel for my brother's birthday, and we had such a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, with a great variety including some delicious local Mauritian dishes. The desserts were the highlight for me. I especially loved the strawberry cheesecake. The evening ended perfectly with some live music. Thank you to all the staff for making the celebration so special. Highly recommended!

It was a great pleasure to be at Mauricia Beachcomber Resort &Spa as it was my Little Brother's birthday. The effort and care you all have put into the meals and drinks were evident and deeply appreciated. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful especially the girl waiter at the bar and the boy waiter at the dining table.. The atmosphere was very clean and calm beside the pool and seaside. We had a great time and highly recommend best customer service.. A big thumbs up to all.. We look forward to come again 😍....

Stayed this resort with a friend and loved it. The service was impeccable from arrival to meals to room service! Every interaction with staff was very pleasant and they were keen to help with our requests. The villa where we stayed was very well appointed, spacious, and so comfortable. We had an awesome weekend!

Ideal for those who wish to have an animated atmosphere. The staffs are very friendly and very quick on service. Their main objective is to help you having a memorable stay. I recommend this hotel especially for the youngsters and families. 5 stars rating my side

Great Location, But Lacking in Comfort and Quality We stayed at the Mauritius Beachcomber (4-star) close to Grand Baie, and the location is honestly one of the best features. It’s perfect if you want to explore the nightlife—bars and live music spots are all nearby, especially lively on weekends. The beach is also lovely: soft sand, clear water, and not many rocks—ideal for relaxing and swimming. However, the hotel experience itself was disappointing, especially considering the price point. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms are very basic, almost to a fault. Minimal decor, harsh lighting with no dimmers or bedside lamps, and overall not what you expect from a resort in this price range. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable either. Food: The food quality and variety were quite low. The buffet was extremely Western/European-focused, with hardly any local Mauritian or Asian options, which was surprising given how international the guests were. The half-board restaurant was also not very pleasant. While the food was “manageable,” it definitely didn’t feel like a culinary experience you’d expect on a tropical island. Service: Reception was okay—not overly warm but polite. The luggage and front desk staff were excellent, always smiling and helpful, which was lovely to see. Unfortunately, restaurant staff often struggled to understand English, which led to a few frustrating moments. Honeymoon Experience: We informed them that we were visiting for our honeymoon, but were told we didn’t qualify for the honeymoon “perks” unless we stayed a minimum number of nights and presented a wedding certificate. While we weren’t expecting anything extravagant, this policy felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming. It’s not the kind of conversation you want to have when you’ve just arrived to relax. Other Notes: You only get one complimentary bottle of water when you check in, and everything else is charged—even at breakfast. In most resorts we’ve visited globally, water is a basic amenity, so this felt off. ⸻ Overall: If you want a good location near Grand Baie, this hotel works. But if you’re looking for comfort, good food, and a more premium experience, I’d recommend spending a little more on a five-star resort. In our case, the price just didn’t match the quality of the stay.
