This is my third time staying at Matcha, and I’m super satisfied. The location is really convenient, and even though the building looks a bit old but it’s well-kept and very clean. They surprised me with a birthday cake at the beachfront restaurant during my first stay. I was really impressed that they noticed my birthday at check-in. The staff at the breakfast buffet and beachfront restaurant were all really attentive and friendly. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but Kae remembered how I like my eggs and always offered to make them that way. The food at the beachfront restaurant was amazing — two thumbs up to the chef! The receptionists Neel, Music, and Dean were super helpful. I extended my stay and had to switch rooms, and they arranged a smooth transfer with my bags. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Samui.

The Matcha Samui Resort is a wonderful place to stay in Chaweng. Located directly on a beautiful sandy beach, it offers the perfect balance between a central location and a peaceful atmosphere. Restaurants, shops and bars are all within easy walking distance. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, from check-in to the restaurant, beach bar and check-out. The rooms and all hotel areas are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is absolutely sufficient, well organized and served with great care. The pool area is small but very well kept, and the charming beach bar is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

This stay was a complete disappointment and far below acceptable standards. The hotel was under major renovations, causing constant and unbearable noise throughout our stay. There was absolutely no disclosure of these renovations anywhere at the time of booking. Had this been clearly stated, we would never have booked this hotel. The elevator was not working, creating serious inconvenience. The rooms smelled strongly of sewage, making them unpleasant and unacceptable to stay in. The breakfast was poor, very limited, and lacked any variety. The rooms themselves are old, outdated, and in urgent need of renovation. Despite all these serious issues, the hotel refused to cancel our reservation or offer any refund, which we found highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Overall, this hotel failed on every level. We strongly advise others to avoid booking until all renovations are completed and the hotel meets basic hospitality standards.

It’s a perfect place to relax with beautiful white sandy beaches and clean, comfortable rooms. The location is right in the center, close to tourist attractions and very convenient for travel. Every staff member made me feel truly valued. The front desk team was always ready to help with everything, and the restaurant staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Even though I came here alone, I never felt lonely. This is truly the spirit of Thailand kindness and genuine hospitality. I will definitely come back to stay here again.

Bad bad place! Do not get near by. They had renovation going on, lots of noise and bad smell. The smell of sewage and noise of drilling and renovation, seriously that’s a shame! They woke us up every morning at 9:30 the the sound of very noisy drilling!! Without considering the hotel guests. They published the hotel in booking like they can still offer quiet and peace, which is what guests usually need and want and come for!! I can’t describe the suffer and the mental anguish, if you are having your hotel renovated, be at least honest and decent to inform it before guests are cominh!! The Booking are as guilty as the hotel management. Do not get close to a hotel who doesn’t respect you and behaving greedily. Plus they make you sign every single service you need, for example I needed an iron and they came to my room with a note like mini contract that I signed that I take the iron and I need to get it back in 30 minutes. And there is insist that you should bring it back by the end of those 30 minutes!! And on our day of the checkout they called us at 12:00 to make sure we are leaving, they didn’t even give us a space of five minutes over, like they were so stressed and they forced the guest to leave. I’ve been in cheaper places and I got cheaper services but never got these kind of service and never experienced this kind of experience in a hotel where all the parts need to be kind considering. SHAME. GRRED.
