Edit to previous review, I originally 4 starred review and it is now dropped to a 2 for customer service. I booked the hotel under government rate and according to my reservation it showed a $15.00 per day credit on foods/drinks and bike rental. While in the Bronze Owl Bar, I looked at my app and saw that I have this "credit" I went to front desk and was informed all I needed to do with that to use is to inform server with my room number and at end of stay it would be removed from my bill. I did just what I was informed to do by staff. I also made purchases using "credit" at Carnegie Diner and Cafe making coke zero and diet coke purchases. At final bill, I have been charged! Not too happy about this. I called hotel and spoke to a front desk employee and requested a manager, to be informed " your resort fee was waived for using government" which I was not informed that. I was told to present room number as I did and still charged. LACK OF CORRECT COMMUNICATION!! I was informed by the manager I would get credit back to my card in the amount of $73.67 which was false. Upon looking at new updated receipt, I was only issued credit of $36.78, the math doesn't add up. I am not happy about this at all so now the 4 star review has went to a 2 star. I still give 5 star to Jose, but the lack of correct information not only while at the property and now on the phone has caused a big drop. BEWARE OF CHARGES EVERYONE BECAUSE WHAT IS TOLD DOES NOT HAPPEN

Had a great week in New York with the family! We had a few weird things happen at this hotel… when we first checked in, our rooms were showing as $600ish more than the price I booked for (we travel often and this was the first time this discrepancy has happened). They have Hilton Grand Vacation sales reps walking around the lobby trying to sell vacations… super tacky and uncomfortable. The bellmen were SO awesome and helpful in storing bags and getting taxis! The front desk staff were really unpleasant… it’s just nice to work with nice people and this desk staff were so rude. The rooms were small, but par for NYC. The beds are nice, the pillows are about half the size of a standard pillow so you need to ask for more if you are used to full sized pillows. Rooms were very quiet!!! The location is close to Macys on 34th and the Flatiron building. Pretty far from most tourist things and took a lot of walking… probably will not stay here again.

I had a great experience at this hotel during my recent trip to New York. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the subway, which made getting around the city incredibly easy and convenient. I also appreciated how safe and secure the hotel felt throughout my stay. The environment is well maintained, and I felt comfortable at all times. A special mention goes to the amazing and highly professional staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its location, safety, and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Martinique New York was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the location is unbeatable. It was very easy to get to and from JFK, and its central spot made it simple to reach other parts of the city. We also had a wonderful experience with Jose, who was incredibly hospitable and gave us some fantastic tips on things to do and see around the city. However, there were several drawbacks to the stay. The room was quite small, which we expected for NYC, but the view was completely blocked by scaffolding. The service was also inconsistent; while Jose was great, many other staff members weren't very friendly. In terms of amenities, the room felt lacking. There was no fridge at all, which was inconvenient. We also found it frustrating that water bottles weren't refilled daily and that we had to specifically request most basic toiletries rather than having them provided automatically. It’s a great spot for the location, but the room features and service could definitely be improved.

I was a guest for 2 weeks in a very small room, including the bathroom. None of the rooms have a microwave. There is one(1) community microwave on the 17th (PH1) for the entire hotel. Very inconvenient. Not all the rooms are equipped with a refrigerator. My request (x2)for a fridge was quickly dismissed. The staff at the front desk made no effort to accommodate my needs, and no follow-up was done. I found it quite challenging to relax in a room that did not have basic amenities.The restaurant that's connected to the hotel is a hit or miss. The hotel is situated in an excellent location. Lots of things to do and see.
