My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights - Saturday through Monday - in November during Veterans Day weekend. The cost was a bit steep, but no more so than surrounding comparable hotels due to it being a holiday weekend during the Christmas season.
The hotel was in a perfect location, steps from Herald Square and a main subway station for access to other parts of the city. So many food options nearby, including a terrific breakfast cart just 2 blocks away. I loved the accessibility and walking distance to the Flatiron district, Times Square, Macy's, Madison Square Garden (where we saw a concert), and more.
Our room was clean and of a typical size for regular Manhattan hotel rooms. Not spacious, but we were there to explore the city. Our room came with a mini fridge and 2 bottles of water. There was a small closet but no dresser.
The bathroom is also small, but the tub is sizeable and big enough for even taller/larger bodies. Great water pressure, too!
All of the staff was pleasant, greeting us each time we entered and exited the hotel. The lobby was gorgeous; I loved the classic tiling and decor.
There is ongoing construction, but this did not impact us as our room was away from that area. My recommendation is to make sure you request a room away from that area at check-in if you think it will be an issue.
I highly recommend giving a stay here a try.

The hotel is nicely situated in a central area that allows access to many of the sites, shopping, and entertainment. Compact room, but it was cozy and the bed comfortable. The halls smelled like weed, and the room was freezing. We had to turn the thermostat off completely to not freeze, but it would come on nonetheless.
The first night there we ordered a late night snack and juice from the espresso bar and I was violently sick all night into the early morning. My travel companion also felt ill, but not as bad as I.
The last night there we had dinner at the Bronze Owl and it was delicious, and we had great service. Overall some great and not so great experiences at the hotel.

The hotel was clean and the room was quiet since we were facing the courtyard. However this hotel is very much under construction. The room feels more like a closet than a hotel room. Not because of the size but the lack of decor. The window was covered with a translucent film to block the construction, so we had no view. However since the covering was translucent, we were woken up by the construction and a very annoying light flashing in the room. Told the front desk about the issue and they didn’t apologize or show any concern. Just “thanks for telling us”. Location is good, but this should just be a budget stay until construction is complete.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. From the bellmen to the from the lady at the front desk who helped us!
We got in at 7am and everyone was very helpful. We left our bags with the bellman and went to explore while our room became available. Come 2 o’clock we called to see if it was possible to get in early, even though our original room wasn’t ready yet they asked if for a small upgrade fee we could have a better room and check in right away. Wasn’t pushy or anything and was very nice!
It’s amazing how asking “how is your day going” can make a persons day!
Also the $15 a day credit made a great morning coffee to start our day for the three days we were there!
With all the options for hotels in NYC I liked it. I like to try something new everytime we visit a place again but would recommend this hotel!

Not worth a stay here for the price you pay.
Booked a Queen and got a Double. The room was super small and my wife and I had to step over our bag as there was no space to keep it open at all in the room. 3 pillows instead of the customary 4 for Hilton beds.
Fixture was on the floor in the bathroom.
No amenities in the room such as coffee maker, mini fridge, no bottles of water. There is a remote for the TV. Basic room only.
Pictures on the website are better than in person. Again, there is no value for the price.
Night time guard doing hotel key checks was a nice security feature. The hotel is in a great location however.
