Location and service were both great! The rooms are dated and the mattresses are the worst I’ve slept in. I primarily stay in Hilton properties and the beds are never an issue. I tossed and turned for 3 straight nights while sleeping there. Also, $33 for the breakfast, even for children is not worth the money. $144 for 4 people at breakfast is not worth the money. Could’ve spent a fraction of that elsewhere and received much better quality. Overall the hotel is good, but room upgrades are needed, starting with the mattresses.

It was under construction, but the customer service made up for that. The door folks were friendly and helpful. So handy to have a little coffee bar to order drinks to get you going on your way. Towel service was prompt and friendly as well. This is a great location for getting to all the sights in Times Square, Lower Manhattan and. Broadway area. You will surely enjoy your stay!

We went here for a company offsite and everyone agreed that, while the location is fantastic, the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The rooms were very dusty—nearly everyone in our party were having allergy symptoms due to the dust. We also suspect the there might be some mold—several people got sick after staying at the hotel. Generally speaking, the service was very slow and not particularly helpful. For example, my luggage was being held when I got my room and I asked if it could be taken up to my room for me. They said that they didn’t think that was possible but that they’d ask the bellboy and get back to me (they never did). Also, I had to ask several times to get slippers delivered to my room. When I checked in, they had to move me to several different stations because the credit card reader wasn’t working. Also, on my first night there, the hotel room had no water bottles, so I had to get my own. Not big things on their own, but taken together, it made for a lackluster experience.

I love this hotel. Beautifully appointed with comfortable beds. The showers are the best! We were told at another hotel when we reported that there was no water pressure and the water never heated to a comfortable temperature “Oh, (giggle) that’s just New York”. Not true!! The Martinique showers are spacious, with unending hot water and the perfect water pressure! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They truly treat the guest to a wonderful experience all the way around. Thermostats in the rooms are able to be set at your desired temperature. This feature alone was exciting to me.

The location is great. Subway entrance is right next to the front door with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Staff are responsive and friendly. The room is a good size for NYC. Although one of the front elevator was broken for my entire 3-day stay and there is no refrigerator in the room, it didn’t affect my trip much. I’m fully aware of the daily additional charge and the front desk reminded me when checking in, so no complain on that. Everything else is perfect for my stay and I’ll not hesitate to come back again.
