It's a smaller all inclusive resort. It's cozy. Don't go in February, it's not hot. The staff was polite and courteous. The food at the buffet could have been better in my opinion. Frank and Lola's had the best food as far as myself and my wife were concerned. Get to the pool early and tag your chair with a towel. Drinks aren't very strong, maybe the resorts way of keeping the party going.

All Margaritaville Resorts are NOT equal! We stayed at the Cancun Adults Only in 2025 and it was far superior to this one (family Cancun), which we stayed at in Feb 2026. We got in late the first night due to travel delays and only had 20 minutes to grab a bite at the non-reservation restaurant. The service was almost non-existent then and for the next couple of days. It improved once the waitstaff recognized us (and we were tipping). The food was mediocre at best (though the 2 reservation-only restaurant quality was better). The main eatery is open-air so there were always birds flying through, landing on tables, chairs, and the worst on overhead lighting, pooping into food, etc. Pool lounge chairs were grabbed up first thing in the morning by other guests and "held" as theirs by towels, books, etc, even though many weren't occupied for most of the day. Never enough pool towels available, had to ask for them and wait many times. The central bar always had music blaring, which could be heard throughout the resort ..no place to get away from it. And the bartenders didn't know how to make several drinks that I asked for ( the ones I did have from their menu were like Kool-aid). One redeeming factor was the concierge butlers we were assigned: Joel and Alberto. ( we upgraded to get them) They were both superb and looked after us extremely well, going above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied ( the Balinese beds on the beach were fabulous). Fatima was also excellent at keeping our room clean and tidy. The room was spacious (again an upgrade) however there is no handle on the outside of the balcony door so we always had to leave it slightly ajar when we were out there. (Further note: Not to do with Margaritaville, but if you purchase a liquid at Cancun airport duty free, make sure they vacuum seal your bag if your flight is not direct - USA customs in Dallas confiscated my vanilla as the bag only had a zip tie on it and I had a connecting flight. )

Margaritaville cancun coffee shop was excellent, the staff, day or night offered excellent service, the coffee, snacks and sandwiches were always fresh and delicious. Our stay at the resort was fantastic, from the moment we walked in we felt welcome. The resort is spotlessly clean, the food and drinks are excellent and the beach is marvellous. The staff here really made our trip, from our server at the beach house Emilio, the activity coordinator Betsy, our housekeeper Olga, our concierge Miguel and a real hero the concierge valet Angel who promptly called us a taxi to the airport when our shuttle MTS (speedy shuttle) went to the incorrect hotel and then refused to come get us. Angel handled it immediately with ease and we are grateful to him and all the staff for making our stay wonderful. We give this resort 10/10 stars and hope to come back. Carolyn E. And Doug H

Loved our stay! The resort is smaller which is a great thing. No reservations needed for any restaurants and we always got seated right away. Entertainment crew and all of the events were super fun. I especially enjoyed the Casino night (not real money so you can have fun and no stress and the card tricks were a fun touch!) The room was huge and clean and the bed was great! The beach was beautiful and mostly clear other than the first day. Pools are great but a little cold. Overall the staff is what made it a great experience though. Antonio has been amazing for breakfast and lunch each day at the Beach House. Emilio is amazing at both Beach House for breakfast and Rita’s for lunch! Armando kept the drinks flowing and took great care of us all week at 5 OClock Somewhere Bar. I don’t remember everyone’s names but all of the staff here is fantastic.

I fantastic laid back resort. All the staff where so friendly and helpful. It really makes a difference to the holiday vibes. Special shout out to Eduardo and Emillo in the Beach House restaurant, amazing friendly attentive service. The ladies at the spa, Gloria, Yolanda and Diana where lovely and me and my sister had the best hot stone massage. I will definitely be back. The only downside was the minibar, the only alcoholic drinks available were beer and we don't drink beer. If they could change that it would be perfect.
