After an awful stay at Ocean Blue Sand, we had no hope from Punta Cana, however Dreams was splendid. The hotel is newly refurbished, quiet and has a good atmosphere to it. It is clean everywhere, has good activities for kids and events in the evenings. The rooms a very good and despite being in the main big block it was quiet. The clients are also way more educated and respectful that the Ocean Blue. The staff are really nice and helpful. The restaurant are great, the steakhouse serves excellent food and the buffet has an excellent choice of food. There is a really nice cafe that is opened all night and it is handy. Everything was great from beginning to the end. I would recommend for a family stay.

The welcome staff was nice upon arrival. Check-in was very easy. The rooms are flawless and resort looks beautiful. However, the beach is a joke! It is a cement parking lot covered with a thin layer of sand unfortunately, and the seaweed covered the waterline making it impossible to enter the water. The smell was also very pungent. As a person who loves the beach I was overwhelmingly disappointed. And there was a construction truck running back and forth making it impossible to relax. I look forward to visiting the beach on vacation and I was only able to spend about 4 minutes there. The food at the buffet is decent but pretty underwhelming, the staff is pretty pleasant. The staff at the pool however seems to have an issue helping people of color. My family and I waited for over 30 minutes for someone to ask us if we needed to be helped, and no staff member ever came to us. Meanwhile others around us were asked if they needed anything repeatedly. All we received were dirty looks! Ultimately we ended up going to the swim-up bar ourselves for our drinks. The best restaurant is the Steakhouse hands down! I personally recommend the beef short ribs, mac and cheese, and the seafood potato. The Italian restaurant staff was very nice but the food was less than mediocre. And the Asian restaurant was always closed. I really wanted to like this resort, I love the room and I felt safe the entire time. I was able to relax and reset. But I wouldn't return unfortunately based on the beach, being discriminated against by the pool staff, and the limited food choices.

I do not recommend Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa. In my opinion, it’s a complete rip-off, especially for what is advertised as a luxury, “Preferred Club” experience. From the moment we arrived, the resort failed to meet basic expectations. The rooms had a strong mildew smell, and the carpets were visibly dirty. We had to switch rooms three times within the first 24 hours due to unacceptable conditions — a major hassle that should not happen at a supposedly high-end resort. Despite booking Preferred Club status, we received no VIP treatment. The room was missing basic amenities like robes and a stocked minibar. We had to request these multiple times before receiving anything. When we finally did, all we got was one mini can of Pringles, a single pack of M&Ms, and a cheap bottle of wine. Definitely not what was promised or expected. Top-shelf alcohol is advertised but rarely available, and the food was consistently underwhelming. We spoke with several other guests who shared similar complaints. To make matters worse, there was very little to do on the resort — no real entertainment, limited activities, and bland atmosphere. The views were also disappointing. If you’re expecting a picturesque beachfront getaway, this isn’t it. The overall experience felt like a bait-and-switch — luxury pricing for budget-level service. If you're considering this resort, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon! It was a beautiful amazing resort! The staff always treated us as royalty and the food and drinks were amazing. Entertainment was so good throughout the day and every night we didn’t even have to leave. Jose Gabriel was so much fun and kept everyone engaged and it was so fun to be apart of.
