I genuinely loved staying here. For one the location is lovely it’s miners away from the strip and the monorail 🚝 and the convention center is steps away no need for car. The customer service was great except for maybe one bartender the guy was rude. But that doesn’t matter because everyone else had out of this world amazing customer service. They have happy hour and $3 margaritas you can’t beat that. I loved the retro feel. Also the rooms are very clean the beds were clean and good to sleep on and it is very spacious will be back in the future.

The Mardi Gras Hotel is a great deal! About a block from the Monorail that'll get you to the strip in no time. The pool is nice-looking (too cold in November) and they have a free ice machine. The room was clean. You get a fridge, iron+board, hot water right away in the showers, good toiletries (not the cheapo no-take-home attached to the wall stuff some hotels are using now). They got everything you need is what I'm saying. The smoke alarm was pulled out of the wall (a sign that people had been smoking in the room in budget hotels) but the room didn't smell like smoke at all.

Very interesting Casino and Hotel. Very small and has the locally owned feel. Stayed 2 weeks in a room that had 2 queen beds separated by what was a half built wall and it had a small kitchen like alcove with just a mini fridge and counter tops. Rooms looked like they had at one time been small efficiency apartments. The room smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom fan did not work, the heat lamp in the bathroom was burned out. The place needed a good cleaning and disinfectant. The one bed that was set in the back part of the room by the bathroom the bed frame was broken and the bed fell when we sat down on it. The bathroom sink didn't drain and it leaked from the pile under the sink. TV remote didn't work and there was no manual access. Had to go down to the front desk and get one that worked. Good things: Hotel staff was attentive and had things taken care immediately when a complaint was made. The pool was refreshing and not a lot of people in or using it and the area was always free of trash. The small restaurant that is just across from the front desk was very clean and the food was very good. Better than we expected and the price was below $10. Location was very convenient as it was just off the strip on Paradise that runs to the east side of the strip and parallel with it.

*HONEST REVIEW* Let me just start by saying, his hotel is definitely on of the better affordable options that's close to the Las Vegas strip. The Pros: They have free parking for guests, large rooms, decent amenities and are affordable so if you are traveling on a budget this is going to be one of your better options. They are usually never fully booked so you can usually always find a room here. The Cons: The rooms have definitely seen better days. You will find random cracks in the walls, old mini fridges, cheap paint jobs on the doors and interior of the bathroom, etc. The little air filter inside the bathroom looks like it hasn't been changed all summer. Also, the area that the hotel is located in is not the safest side of town to be on at night. Do not wonder around, do not leave valuables in your car and definitely lock your doors. It's rough out there. Now, all of that being said. I give this hotel 4 stars, because the price for what you get is just hard to beat, most hotels in the area cannot even come close to be beating their nightly rate or resort fee. I will continue to stay here on the occasion, bravo Mardi Gras, don't ever change or get greedy, keep providing one of the last affordable hotels in Vegas!

Good spot near the convention center. Bit older, but seems decently kept up, a lil jank here and there but not enough to offend me. Front desk and maintenance were excellent and responded immediately to our requests. Felt safe. Seemed clean. Ac was a lil loud. Perfect imo if you need a cheap stay near the convention.
