Without a doubt, some of the best, if not the best hotel service I’ve ever received! The staff were all super friendly and would do anything to make sure you have exactly what you need. We ate at Ciao Terrazza where the food was amazing! I would recommend getting the beef! We reserved our table late and requested a table next to the river which the staff were able to accommodate making our Christmas meal perfect! Getting around Bangkok from the hotel is super easy too due to the hotels private boat service which takes you over to ICONSIAM mall. From there you can get anywhere on the river which made it really easy for us to see the sights. We had an early departure flight meaning we would miss our breakfast. The hotel staff made up some bags filled with fruits, meats, juices and pastries for us to take with us which was a really nice touch. Overall I couldn’t recommend this hotel more, I hope you stay and have a wonderful time like I did.

From start to finish, we had the most wonderful experience. Warm greeting at the airport, transported in a luxurious car. On the return journey to the airport, a hotel representative dealt with all details until we passed through to departures. Hotel is exquisite and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. All the staff were welcoming, attentive, engaging and the whole operation runs like a well oiled yet very human machine. Fabulous breakfast, lots of choice for a delicious dinners. Loved the pool with very attentive staff bringing iced water, towels etc..Lovely touches such as Christmas sticking in the room, book mark on the bed where I had left my partially read book etc. we have travelled the world and this hotel is head and shoulders above most hotels.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. What was planned as a simple staycation turned into one of the most memorable and luxurious experiences we've ever had. The Atmosphere and The View: The moment you step in, the atmosphere is just magnificent. It’s a place that feels historic yet completely vibrant and serene. Our room offered an absolutely spectacular view; waking up to that panorama over the river was a real treat and instantly made the stay feel like an escape. The True Highlight: The People The staff here are simply extraordinary. While this was our first visit (meaning they didn’t yet know my specific preferences as a returning guest), their hospitality was flawless. Every single interaction was warm, genuine, and prompt. They don’t just deliver service; they deliver kindness. It’s what truly sets this hotel apart. Facilities Worth Mentioning: Everything was top-notch. The spa was deeply relaxing and provided a five-star experience, and the gym was incredibly well-equipped—perfect for maintaining routine even while on vacation.

being a long-term guest of MOBKK we went through thick and thin together. Now living in Bangkok, of course I’m not staying overnight anymore but frequently visiting the different restaurants. today’s welcome was impolite… at least. overall our lunch at Riverside Terrace was a huge disappointment. First of all, it was understaffed and the people working there were not the most experienced ones except two, which I knew also for a long. examples: pouring the Prosecco into the class you could clearly see it was an old bottle, completely lacking any bubbles. A waiter in this category of hotel should see this and not let the customer point him to this. for a new course, no new plates were served, which left us with the bread&butter plates for the shared main course. Overall, there was a lack of authentic kindness and caring, which was always the biggest strength of the MOBKK - kind of sad seeing this for the 1st time after 20 years of warm welcomes. Also, there was a very bad smell from the second kitchen on the right side, looking towards the river from a hud - the typical smell of old fat which you for sure don’t want to blow in the direction of some tables. I still have this smell in my nose after 2 hours. Food: Beef soup, as good as always and the tuna carpaccio (more like a Peruvian sashimi) was simply excellent. the grilled chicken was unfortunately dry. Still the best espresso in town. We have an invitation to ciao restaurant in two weeks, so hopefully we will experience less changes there. still the best location for a relaxed lunch at the river if they handle the bad smell quickly.

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is a legendary hotel with a rich history and truly exceptional service. The interiors are classic and slightly retro in style, yet the rooms themselves are very comfortable and well maintained. The beds are wonderful, with excellent quality linens, bathrobes, and towels. Everything is impeccably clean, and I especially appreciated that the staff remove their shoes before entering the room, a thoughtful and respectful touch. The breakfast is outstanding, the pool area is relaxing with comfortable loungers, and the spa is located on the opposite side of the river. A private boat is provided on request, which makes the experience even more special. In addition, ICONSIAM shopping mall with luxury boutiques is just a five-minute ride away. The concierge service is professional and very helpful. Overall, it truly feels like this hotel is worth every penny.
