From the moment I stepped foot into Mandarava Resort, I knew I was in for something special—and it exceeded every expectation. Let me start with the rooms: they are incredibly spacious, bright, and spotlessly clean, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to make you feel right at home. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes immense pride in their work, and it made my stay so much more relaxing. But what truly sets this resort apart is its staff. From the warm welcome at the reception to the attentive concierge service, every single person I interacted with was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. A small but meaningful gesture that stood out: upon arrival, the staff noticed I had quite a bit of luggage and immediately offered to carry it all up the stairs to my second-floor room—no hesitation, no fuss. Later, after a day of shopping with armfuls of paper bags, they again kindly offered to escort me back to my room. These little acts of kindness made me feel valued and cared for, not just like a guest. I left Mandarava Resort with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude. This is the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again. If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean resort with exceptional service and a genuine, warm atmosphere, look no further. Absolutely amazing stay! Mandarava Resort in Phuket exceeded all our expectations. The location is peaceful yet close enough to the beach and local restaurants. Our villa was spacious, spotless, and surrounded by lush tropical greenery — pure paradise! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome every single day. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a huge variety, and the pool areas were beautiful and never crowded. We especially loved the attention to detail everywhere — from the design of the rooms to the small touches that made our stay unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

We didn't have a complete awful experience in this hotel, but there are probably better ones in Karon & Kata beach areas. First of all, our room was quite high so we had to either climb a lot of stairs or ask the staff to take us with a club car everytime we left the hotel, or even just when going to breakfast (as it's located in the bottom part of the hotel), which was quite limiting. I do want to mention that the staff was immediately available for pickup / drop off at any time and they were very kind while doing so, and didn't made us feel like it was trouble for them. Due to the fact that the hotel is located on a hill and the rooms & facilities are dispersed, there was a critic use of the hotel signage which wasn't clear enough, and we found ourselves wandering around while trying to get somewhere, sometimes going up & down the hill for no reason just because we were struggling with the signage. Our room was located on the ground floor, right next to the main pool, meaning we couldn't ever keep our curtains open, beacuse there were people at the pool who could literally peek into our room at any given time. That really sucked because we felt like we have no privacy at all, in addition to the fact that the room area was naturally noisier than other parts of the hotel due to its central location. And now for the worst part - breakfast was included as a part of our reservation, but when we went there on our first morning we were shocked (and not in a good way). All of the food we tried wasn't tasty, and it seemed like there was a wide variety, but after trying the food from almost all of the stations, we literally liked nothing, and considering we're not such picky eaters, that means a lot. The egg station worked very slowly, and the sunny side up egg we took had raw egg white and wasn't edible. The stir fry stand served very under- seasoned local dishes with the most dry pork & chicken I've ever tasted, at the level where it felt like it wasn't a Thai person who cooked them. The fresh juices were very dull (probably thinned out with water) so they didn't even taste fresh, the pancake & roti section served cold food and the breads seemed like they weren't the freshest which wasn't very inviting. After this overwhelming experience, we decided to skip breakfast during the rest of our stay, and preferred to eat outside the hotel even though breakfast was included, as I mentioned in the beginning of this comment. I think the only good thing I can indicate on this hotel is that the staff was very kind and they assisted with our requests in a very timely manner and did their best to create the best experience for us.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. The facilities, the pools, the service and the truly out of this world staff, made our stay so memorable. We decided not to go into town or to the beach because we didn’t want to waste a single minute of the time we were able to spend in this great location. This was our first time staying at a resort and our first time in Thailand. This was an incredible experience and we cannot wait to come back. The staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful, kind, and welcoming. The room was gorgeous and clean. The shower was wonderful. The attention to detail and care was impressive. The breakfast was amazing, and the dinner was incredible. I am so happy we came here. Only thing I disliked was the bathroom sink water smells bad. Used complimentary water bottles to brush our teeth though so it was perfect.
