Liked: The staff was just amazing - super polite & attentive! The breakfast was excellent too! And the room - spacious & comfy. The parking is also incredibly comfortable for Malta. The indoor pool was also quite good. Overall, it was quite a joyful experience. Disliked: The temperature in the indoor pool & jacuzzi could be just a little higher to be perfectly comfortable for the kids. The outdoor one is not meant to be used for the kids, I guess, during winter time - it was too cold. Overall, it felt that the hotel is more business-oriented, rather than a family-oriented one (no playgrounds or playrooms, pools open for kids during evening hours only, not too many families with kids, etc.). Nevertheless, still a wonderful experience.

We had a very nice stay at the Marriott. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. We especially recommend the dinner, which you can choose according to the menu. The quality of the food was always excellent. I can only partially share the criticism of the spa area: However, it would indeed be appropriate to sit in the sauna without wet swimwear. However, it is also true that five stars may have been appropriate a few years ago. Currently, I would give the hotel four stars plus. Conclusion: a very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and a few weak points. We would definitely book again.

An elegant encore — city rhythm with a coastal heart After several days of intense chess competition and a deeply restorative stay at Westin Dragonara, I checked into the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa for a final night before leaving Malta. It was a brief but meaningful transition — a return from introspection to the vibrant rhythm of the city. Where Westin whispered calm, Marriott greeted me with light. The room was modern and tastefully furnished, with clean lines, comfortable bedding, and floor-to-ceiling windows that invited in the golden Maltese sun. From my balcony, I could see where the city softened into the sea — a curve of coastline dotted with rooftops and boats, pulsing with gentle movement. While my stay was short, the Club Lounge experience left a lasting impression. The spread was elegant: light antipasti, fresh greens, seafood tapas, and a fine selection of desserts, all presented with care. Paired with a glass of red wine and a strong espresso, it felt like a quiet celebration — refined, unhurried, and private. It was exactly the kind of setting that allows the mind to settle and reflect. The indoor spa pool offered another moment of calm — softly lit and beautifully designed, it served as a tranquil pause before departure. I appreciated how the hotel balanced its urban energy with pockets of stillness throughout. Details were handled with thoughtfulness: a welcome note with wine and water, intuitive lighting, warm staff, and an overall spatial clarity that never felt chaotic, even in common areas. The entire hotel felt composed — quietly luxurious in the way that matters most. If Westin was my retreat, Marriott was my return. A gentle re-entry into life beyond the tournament board, marked by design, taste, and subtle rhythm. As the final note of my time in Malta, this stay completed the journey — elegant, measured, and memorably well-placed.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, all staff so smart and friendly. The food was exceptional and we were there for 10 nights. Rooms were large with lovely shower and bath. The Spa was also lovely with a nice pool and good sauna. Our room 709 on the 7th floor was large and spacious , smart tv enabled you to connect to your own Netflix, YouTube etc. Excellent pick up point for Uber etc for exploring, also the local bus stop is right outside and €2 gets you to Valletta. All in all highly recommended.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Malta Marriott Resort and Spa! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how beautiful the hotel is. The design and surroundings are stunning, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could need. I felt at home immediately. I would also like to highlight the outstanding spa center, which is truly exceptional – a wonderful place to unwind and indulge in luxury. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making sure all of my needs were met. Their attention to detail was impeccable. The breakfast was also a standout! It was rich in variety, with high-quality food and plenty of choices to suit every taste. It was the perfect way to start each day. I am especially grateful for the complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room with an amazing sea view. It truly made my experience unforgettable, and I cannot thank the team enough for this kind gesture. Overall, my stay was nothing short of perfect, and I can't wait to return to this wonderful hotel!
