Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres is such a beautiful resort! The food, room, and location was top notch. If you are 18+, i definitely recommend staying at the Adults Only side and using The Club. It’s a little bit more money, but it is worth every penny! Our butler Issac was the best and helped make our stay 10000% better. He helped reserve our spa treatments and dinner reservations at Kabuki. Also WELCOME JUICE! it’s the best thing ever only served at the piano bar! If you don’t get it when you arrive get it there 💛

We spent 10 days here with our 2 boys 11 and 14 years old and amongst other reasons we chose this resort due to the rooms having a separate room for our sons.
Pro’s: the room set up was great and service in the main was good. A massive congratulations to the staff in securing the hotel for Hurricane Beryl and ensuring the guests felt taken care of. The pools, facilities, kids entertainment and beach were really nice and clean. The restaurants gave a good variety of dishes although the Mexican restaurant pretty much served the same dishes as what you could get in the buffet restaurant.
The spa was one of the best we’ve been too. Amazing.
Cons: a lot of mosquitoes - you don’t see them but they get you. So take spray with you and use it, morning and evening in the restaurants and outside.
They are building another hotel next door so my advice is secure a pool or sea facing room or you might hear construction noise. The adults only side (The Club) won’t be affected by this.
Overall: If we were to come to Cancun we’d probably stay closer to Cancun itself but if you’re here for relaxation - you can get it here. A massive thank you and we would recommend this hotel.

I don't think I have ever written a bad review for a resort, at least not in years! And we vacation every year several times a year. Check my profile. I've written reviews that have over 1 million views. Reviews help people to be informed about spending their hard earned dollars. This has been the worst hotel stay that I've paid thousands of dollars for in my life! The oceanfront rooms smell moldy, the food is mid at best, and our AC wasn't working. They haven't tried to accommodate other than changing my room to another moldy smelling room with a lack of air conditioning. I really would like a refund! The bathroom in the room is dirty in places that absolutely could have been cleaned properly (I have pictures). The workers don't seem like they want to be there, not great customer service here. It's hot on the tiny elevators that if you're not claustrophobic, you might be once you get on there! We had a butler that we only saw on day 1, and he never checked in on us after day 1. Day 2 someone knocked on our door loudly in spite of the "do not disturb" sign. We had to chase down a housecleaner in the hallway just to get towels and requests a cleaning even after turning off the do not disturb sign. We ordered room service with pancakes, she repeated the order, and they brought us lots of syrup but no pancakes. They told us we didn't order pancakes and after waiting over an hour for our food it was too late to order breakfast and they couldn't bring us pancakes. Only to bring cold pancakes 20 minutes later!! I can go on and on.. I'm hoping someone in management will read this and give me a call or make it right. We'll see.. ⚠️ 😏

I give this place 4.75 stars out of 5. Let me start from the beginning.
Being in the Club side, you have your own check in and check out room. The check in process could be better. If you get there early, they check you in so you can enjoy the place, then they tell you to come back at 3:00 to get your room. Everyone rushes back at 3:00 and they are unorganized at that stage. Other than that process, great place.
Use your Butler- Val is amazing if you can request her.
There are several options for different foods. The Italian restaurant is a great place for a sit down breakfast and lunch if you don’t want buffet. Diego at the Mexican place is wonderful.
The SPA is great too.
Two people at the VIP Infinity pool - Rayli (Ray Ray) is an amazing waiter. Karina leads the activities. She is great too.
Would I come back, yes

Highly discourage anyone from booking at this resort. We had a trip planned but had to cancel last minute due to hurricane Beryl. This hurricane is a category 5 and heading directly towards the resort. It will be hitting Cancun during the duration of our stay and prevent us from flying back home. The resort was in no way helpful and refused to rebook us for a later date or refund us. Not to mention they will have you waiting on the phone forever. The reason for cancelling was completely out of our hands- we would have loved to have gone on vacation. Extremely disappointing. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know.
Update: Generic, automated messages given by the resort below in response. Clear example of their lack of true customer service and helpfulness as an establishment.
They claim that protocols must be followed and I see absolutely no protocols in place. Cancun has a hurricane watch in place, and the resort has not even sent out an email to guests making them aware. You’d think that “protocols” in place would mean a plan of some sort to assist guests who can no longer make their booking due to a NATURAL DISASTER would mean providing refunds or rescheduling at the LEAST. They also told us to contact our travel agent to find a solution which we have and they should be fully aware. They do not want to work with Expedia to help in any way shape or form. Money hungry and unprofessional.
