This is a lovely secluded, romantic hotel. Our room was large, quiet, well appointed with a spectacularly comfortable bed. The air conditioning was quiet, cold, and effective. Our shower was clean and had tons of high pressure, hot water. We travel by our own motorcycles so the isolation is perfect for us. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The waffles are recommended! The pool could be cleaner, and some of the staff could use a little more training but we are very laid back and patient with other people. More staff and training would be great but would drive up the very reasonable prices.

This is one of the few star hotels available at such an attractive price perhaps because it was off season. In any case, we throughly enjoyed everything our stay had to offer. From the serene and peaceful beach to the huge connected swimming pool. The staff here are well trained and almost many of them speak fluent English. The breakfast was satisfactory. And our checkin and checkout process was very smooth. I would definitely visit this room again. I was a bit skeptic to book this hotel given the plethora of negative reviews like rude staff, cockroaches etc., fortunately they seem to have fixed all those. The only negative aspect I would add during this stay is the toilet flush force was really bad. They should definitely do something about it !

If you were looking for 5 star standards, this is not it. This place was beautiful 20 years ago and needs some serious refurbishing. I left one night earlier because of how musty and humid the rooms were. I have asked change rooms but it was the same. If you have dust allergy or you just prefer clean air smell in your room, I suggest you go to any of the other hotels in the island.

Went to what was supposed to be a 5 star resort and it turned out to be more like a run down 2.5 to 3 star hotel. The hotel was probably nice 20 years ago or whenever it was built. It really didn’t age well and they have not done a good job of maintaining the place. The bathroom towels were dirty, I can see spots and stains on them. Not only so but one day when they changed our bed sheets, our pillow casing really stink. Like that wet smell when you don’t dry your clothes properly. We asked them to changed it but they forgot. Service was a hit or a miss. Something they are super nice but other times forgetful and not too helpful for tourist but they try. The Thai staff and other staff are nice but they don’t exude 5 star service. Not sure who rates hotels but this is no where near 5 stars. Also the reception area is not handicap friendly!!! You have to walk up a flight of stairs! The beach is not good to swim. Rocky and not as well clean as expected. The swimming pool was big but it looked dirty but it was clean enough to swim in. The breakfast was good for being a free breakfast that’s included in the price but it was the same breakfast everyday. Kind of boring. We did one night at their restaurant and it was good. My biggest gripe is how the place didn’t look too clean and our ac smelled really bad. Not only so but their wifi suck big time. Like didn’t work half the time and was really slow. I couldn’t get any work done!!!! The gym is small but had enough equipment if you knew how to work out. Overall it was an experience that was fun and enjoyable but would we come back? Hell NO! The staff is nice but the whole resort needs an overhaul. Btw it is in a very remote part of the island. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is your place. Everything is very far away and the taxi or grabs are expensive. The hotel did provide free shuttle service to the mall area which was nice but only gave you about 4 hours to shop and eat. We did a massage and nails so not quite enough time. Overall we had fun but we made lemonade out of lemons. Just don’t expect highly of this place and you will enjoy yourself. It’s not a top ten resort in Thailand and it’s not even a top ten resort on the island.

We were a bit worried having read some of the other reviews before hand. While this place is a bit dated and could use some love, it was the perfect spot for our one night stay. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, service was great! The included breakfast bar was full of anything you can think of! Our rooms were spacious and beautiful. We did not eat at the property as the dining room closed at 8:30 likely due to short staff but we found a great dinner place just down the road(do not recommend walking). The pool was a bit iffy, but the service at the swim up bar was great and provided beers all day long. While it may no longer be a top 5 star resort, for only $100 CAD a night it did the trick! I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick stay in Koh Samui. Great sunset views!
