What a great resort for holidays! The vila was so spacious and clean. The pools and gardens are set amoung an idylic landscape and one feels so relaxed in the atmosphere created by the arquitects. All staff are very friendly and not intrusive. Good entertainment in the evenings. The location of the resort is perfect, by the sea and with the promenade leading to the restaurants, shops and the dunas. Least but not the last, breakfast and buffet dinner are of high quality and variety. It is a feast for all your senses. We highly recommend the hotel.

Thank you to everyone who made our stay enjoyable! We enjoyed every one of our 14 days staying at Lopesan Villa del Conde. Here is what we'd like to share with others who are considering visiting: We found the room to be very spacious. The location and the facilities are great, especially the pools and gardens. We liked the quality and choice of food a lot. All staff were very hospitable and friendly. If you are considering to stay with a small child, its ok from our point of view but other hotels might be a better choice. We basically only had the kids pool for our one year old. He enjoyed it a lot :) All in all, we can only recommend the hotel and say thank you again to all staff for their great hospitality. Thank you!

A superb holiday resort! From the very professional staff and hospitality terms to the spacious villa with all the comodities necessary to make our stay memorable. The surroundings of the resort like the Gardens and the pools are idilyc. The food is of high quality and varied. Very good entertainment in the evening. Highly recommend Villa del Conde.

We had an amazing stay! The rooms under Unique Service are very nice and comfortable. 👍🏻 We loved the breakfast, the view, and the great service from the cleaning team. One thing to mention — the service at the pool could use some attention. Many sunbeds were covered with towels but there were no people around, making it hard to find a free spot. Also, we were surprised that coffee and water had to be purchased through the app — we only discovered this later in our stay 😉. It’s different from other hotels we’ve stayed in, but overall, it was still a very positive experience.

When Lopesan Baobab was first being built (many years ago), we had originally booked our stay there. However, we were informed it wouldn’t be fully ready by the time of our arrival. The travel agency offered us a stay at Villa del Conde instead (both owned by Lopesan), and honestly – we loved it back then. Now, many years later, it’s sadly just not the same place anymore. You can tell some of the staff work incredibly hard – but only some. In general, the attitude of the staff is rude and unhelpful. Even our travel representative admitted he hears the same complaint from Dutch guests regularly, but Lopesan seems to ignore this feedback completely. One evening, for example, we suddenly noticed small ants crawling all over our dinner table. Of course, that can happen when you eat outdoors – we understand that. But what happened next was unacceptable. The staff looked at us like we were the problem, shifted the table slightly away from the pole where the ants were coming from, and left it at that. The food that already had ants on it remained untouched. When we called someone again, they simply moved us inside with the same plates of food – ants included. Needless to say, that’s not exactly appetizing. Throughout our stay, we got the feeling that many of the staff just don’t like dealing with guests. Problems aren’t handled properly, even when you try to stay polite and understanding. We were also tipping regularly, and at some point I asked if the staff actually got to keep it. One of them explained that in the bar tips are shared among everyone, but at the pool they can keep them personally. That’s fine, of course – but it got strange when staff started coming up to us saying, “I’ll be working at the pool tomorrow.” That’s just inappropriate. The facilities listed on the hotel’s website are also misleading. The bar at the entrance and the so-called Akoran are never open. When we asked the staff about it, they told us the club (Akoran) only opens for private events or when the space is rented out. So why advertise it as part of the hotel experience? Another annoying detail: when you have dinner and order drinks, you’re required to pay for the drinks immediately – right there at the table. That completely ruins the relaxed dining experience. Only if you have a credit card linked to your room can you charge it to your account and avoid this hassle. The general attitude at Villa del Conde is that they see themselves as the crème de la crème of hotels – but they simply aren’t. If you’re used to any level of comfort or service at home, this hotel will feel disappointing. When you go on holiday, you expect to be pampered a bit more than you are at home, right? Sadly, that wasn’t our experience here. Villa del Conde feels like the forgotten child of Lopesan. We’ve stayed at their other properties – Baobab, Faro, and Costa Meloneras – and those have a much warmer, more welcoming atmosphere. Of the four, Costa Meloneras is definitely the best. Villa del Conde, unfortunately, ranks at the very bottom. So, if you’re considering a Lopesan hotel in Gran Canaria – go for Costa Meloneras instead. (Though fair warning: the food there isn’t great either. We paid €150 for 2 steaks, and the quality didn’t even come close to what you’d get from a regular Dutch butcher.) In short: if you’re used to a bit of luxury at home, Villa del Conde is not the place for you.
