I’d say it’s more 3* than 5* overall. The buildings, pool and square are all very beautiful. The rooms are a great size and I love the comfy bed! Sadly both our dressing rooms (2 rooms next to each other 1144 & 1145) had an infestation with cockroaches. My mum in 1145 asked for them to come and sort it, they sprayed the room with bug spray and left it behind. A few hours later 3 massive cockroaches dead on their backs. More found over the next few days. I decided to spray our dressing room too, a few hours later more baby cockroaches dead on their backs than I could count. Absolutely vile! I’d already unpacked our clothes at that point too. I’ve washed absolutely everything since getting home. People putting towels on sunbeds at 6am so it’s hard to find any free, shouldn’t be allowed!! The hotel staff should remove them. Lunch options are limited and very expensive. Sent our bruschetta back as basically wet tomatoes on wet bread, no seasoning, nothing. Noticed food on the dinner buffet with bite marks, maybe reusing leftover food from people’s plates? Eggs uncooked and watery inside, the staff weren’t interested in hearing about it. Our flight was delayed so didn’t get to the room till 1am, to find not a single bottle of drinking water in the room!! The teas etc hadn’t been topped up from the previous occupants either as we had bits missing that our other room had. Best bit about the stay was the evening entertainment, each night was brilliant and they were all so lovely to my 4 year old! Kids club was fantastic too.

Very nice hotel with beautiful spacious rooms. Located at the seaside with well maintained gardens. The food was great, though some of the dishes served during the dinner could be warmer. The spa area was being renovated during our stay, so we couldn’t use all the facilities.

Very disappointed with the current service. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since the new management took over. You now have to make a reservation on the spot just to enter the Alpendre restaurant and even then, you need to wait at least 15 minutes. I've been coming here for more then 10 years in a row, and it's frustrating to see how inefficient and unwelcoming the system has become. It would make sense if the restaurant was busy, but it was practically empty. The staff themselves are great and do their best, but the overall experience is let down by poor management and a time-consuming, unnecessary process. I also requested the allocation of the rooms in january and also sent a reminder and with the check-in they weren't aware of the request either. I'm not sure if they will see us again next time.

Great rooms but not what was requested . Fantastic pools . Outside pool bar had a really nice guy . Good breakfasts not so great dinners . Good all a bit beige no nice salads . One lovely waitress at start of the week who is training she was better than the other waiters by a mile . Didn’t catch her name young girl fantastic . Tall male waiter awful . Not the most friendly of staff maybe because the English clients seem low on the ground . Bed was the best we’ve ever had on holiday and room was amazing view was awful looking at the other hotels no sun and ugly just looking at tops of tress . Level 3 room asked for low level due to walking problems but didn’t get it despite emailing the hotel direct . Needs more choice of snacks at lunch time .

Rooms are clean and property is well maintained. They have live shows everyday which is fun. However the customer service is lacking. No drinking water provided in rooms or near the pool, the towel station at the pool closes at 12:30pm, the staff did not let us take a single banana for our toddler who refused to have breakfast, the conditioner bottle in our room was empty and not refilled for four days. Overall an underwhelming experience, will not return.
