I really enjoyed my stay here. We were warmly welcomed by both the manager and the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room felt like stepping into a mix of rustic and modern style, which I loved. The only downside was our downstairs neighbour — some kind of influencer, I think — who decided to have a loud outdoor “session” at 7 AM. Not exactly what you hope for on holiday, and it did wake us up. It seemed we weren’t the only ones; even the manager mentioned receiving several complaints about it. It was a bit windy during our stay, but that might just be the season. Otherwise, the location was perfect — the shopping street and food court are just around the corner, and everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was good, and the hotel restaurant served nice food as well. The beach, jet ski rentals and more are right there, and the pool area is absolutely lovely — perfect for calm, adult relaxation. All in all, a really nice stay. Would definitely recommend. And please try the freshly pressed apple juice — it’s amazing.

We held our team-building session at Lone Pine Penang and had an overall positive experience. The ambience is calm, relaxing, and beautifully maintained, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The meeting facilities were well-equipped and thoughtfully arranged, with complimentary refreshments throughout the session. The hospitality and service were excellent from check-in to check-out. One area for improvement would be the food. As the offerings were largely Indian cuisine, further refinement of the flavours and a broader variety of options would help better align the dining experience with the overall quality of the stay.

The location was good; however, the room interior did not meet expectations. The shower faucet had unstable water temperature, the sink flooded easily, and the toiletries were disappointing for a 4-star hotel. I was ready to shower only to find that the body soap bottle was empty. There was hair on the pillow, one of the bedside lights was not functioning, and the TV appeared to be for display only. The fan worked only at speed 1, and the balcony door knob was nearly broken. While attempting to relax on the balcony, visible stains were found on the table and sofa chair. Breakfast was acceptable, but seating was limited. The sofas and lounge chairs around the pool area also had noticeable stains. Additionally, there was a charge of RM10 per game for the snooker table. Overall, this hotel has potential and could be a great choice if it were properly managed and maintained to 4–5 star standards. Unfortunately, the room condition does not justify the room rate. Given the overall experience, I would not recommend staying here again.

We had our Strategic Planning session at Lone Pine Penang, and overall it was an excellent experience. The scenery and ambience are highly recommended calm, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. The rooms were superb: spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely one of the best we’ve had great variety and quality. We also rented the meeting hall; it was clean, well-equipped and provided free-flow water, coffee, and tea throughout the session. The hospitality and customer service were truly tip-top, from check-in to check-out. The only minor downside was an occasional rubber-like smell outside the rooms, but other than that, everything else was wonderful. Would definitely recommend Lone Pine Penang for both corporate events and leisure stays!

I recently celebrated my birthday at Lone Pine and it was exceptional in every way. The setting at The Dispensary and Lounge was intimate, relaxed and classy. Service, food and drinks were excellent and special mention to Tawfiq (Sales & Marketing) who liaised with me throughout the entire planning process and went above and beyond. Faqih (F&B) was excellent on the day with execution as well. The Hotel is similar to Raffles Hotel in SG or E&O in Penang but by the beach which made it special and unique. With only 90 rooms in the hotel it was more intimate and private and not a mass market feel which was perfect for us. Highly recommended and exceptional service and quality overall. We will definitely be back!
