I stayed at Lone Pine for six days and have only good things to say about my experience. The sea facing room was spacious and comfortable and had direct sea views (albeit partially obscured by a tree). Service is easy going and efficient. The breakfast has something for everyone from fruits, cereals and cold/hot offerings. I liked the individual rooms for lounge/coffee, reception and open lobby feel. This isn’t a grand scale hotel, it feels more like being in a house by the beach. The location is nicely planted along Batu Ferringhi beach. I would certainly come back.

I LOVED this resort. The room was lovely and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable and I slept really well. It isn't outside the best part of the beach, but literally three minutes walk on the beach, you land on this vibey little strip with loads of restaurants/bars. It is close to all the food markets. The staff were wonderful. It felt really calm. I was really sad to leave.

Stayed at Lone Pine Hotel for a short beach getaway. The hotel has a lovely, old-school charm with lots of greenery and a peaceful vibe. The room was clean, spacious, but insects n lizards can come in from the toilet windows It’s right by the beach, which made morning walks really enjoyable. Some staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. That said, there’s honestly not much to do around the hotel itself. If you’re looking for something fun, lively, or more activity-based, this might feel a bit too quiet. It’s great for resting, reading, and just doing nothing — which might be exactly what some people want! Overall, a good place to slow down and unwind. I wouldn’t mind coming back if I needed a break from the city.

A very secluded resort in Batu Ferringhi. Enjoyed the luxurious services and accomodation. Everything seems to slow down once one enters the resort. Totally relaxed at the balcony in the sea fronting room, the waves beat up a relaxing music that quickly anesthesize me into good afternoon nap. Love the breakfast, each morning I will be first one taste every dish the resort prepared for the ingredients are fresh and generously served. Can feel that everyone in the resort is passionate in making the foods taste better at each moment. Customer service is top level. Will recommend newly weds to come here for vacation honeymoon.

Liked: 1. The breakfast is amazing! With a big variety of good food suitable for different tastes. We loved their fresh veggies & fruits, yogurt, and cheese! The eggs station was also very efficient. The hotel offers different kinds of coffee and tea, human-made and machine-made, hot and cold. 2. The room size is good, it feels spacious and well-structured. 3. The hotel's soundproofing is good and it is very quiet at night. Disliked: 1. The 'Tourism Tax', which is special to Penang, Malaysia, for the UNESCO Protected Heritage's reason, was not mentioned anywhere. The hotel only updates Booking.com for this information. Everyone who booked the hotel in any other way would feel 'surprised' by the fact that this is not included in the 'Government Taxes & Fees'. 2. The housekeeping staff at the hotel is definitely understaffed, and it always takes more than an hour to send something to the room. 3. It often rains here at night, so the balcony always looks dirty, especially the bathtub on the balcony, with leaves and sand blown in by the wind. But this bathtub has no shower head, only a fixed tap, so we can't actually rinse the walls of the bathtub. We didn't use the bathtub once in our 4-night stay. 4. The trees in the hotel were so tall that we couldn't see any sea view at all.
