We stayed in a club level room, and the club exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of food if you wanted to make a meal out of it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The evening desserts were also fun. The hotel was very clean even with ongoing construction. Our room was spotless. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the convenience of being close to the parks. We would do club level again.

So we had some issues with our room and the hotel is a bit older but you can't beat all the perks for staying at Universal hotel. The value was definitely there and I won't go to Universal any other way. The boats to Universal was a great benefit, no long lines to get in but note the weather will shut them down. The hotel food was great too and the service was impeccable, update the rooms a bit and this place is 5 stars.

For the prices that we paid, which were to include an annual pass holder rate - I couldn’t be more disappointed. Premier hotels are supposed to be the best of all of the hotels and I would have much rather stayed at a value resort as they are cleaner and nicer. Our “deluxe” king room was a handicap room with no shower curtain. When we called we were given a shower curtain that let water spill all over the floor and we basically had to get ready in a puddle in the mornings after we showered. We only had one sink instead of two, and it was infested with bugs the whole time. There weren’t robes in the suite when we arrived. The lights flickered throughout our entire stay, even after alerting maintenance. When we spoke to the front desk, they told us there was nothing they could do as the hotel was sold out. No discount offered, no partial refunds for the inconvenience. As an annual passholder during pass holder appreciation days, this just doesn’t sit well with me.
We love universal and have been coming for years but next time I think it would be more worth it to stay off property.

The resort is very nice you can’t go wrong here. It currently is under construction being remodeled but that being said overall very nice. The location is beautiful and it’s easy to take the boats to the attractions. The staff is fantastic. Rooms are clean and spacious. Absolutely try the restaurants here we loved Mama Della’s ! And having drinks at the thirsty fish is a must as well.

This hotel has been good in previous stays, unfortunately this stay was marred by what is major construction works. The majority of the west wing of the hotel and part of the central frontage are being worked on. The impact of this means from 9-6 it’s really noisy, there is constant hammering, shouting and beeping of machinery reversing. This part of the hotel has screened facade up, the rooms behind this presumably have a reduced view through the screen. Our room had a scaffold pole in front of the doors which were locked off so you couldn’t access the balcony. Routes you might usually take are closed off when walking around the resort and windows boarded up in some areas creating a less than upmarket feel. It should also be noted the noise is not contained to one part, the whole place suffers unfortunately. I understand the work has to be done but for anyone thinking of staying there that intends to spend any time at the resort through the day, this may not be the experience you are hoping for. The villa pool which is normally quiet was anything but relaxing. If you’re going to be at the parks all day then obviously none of this would bother you. Had we been aware of the significance of the works ongoing we would have chosen the Royal Pacific or Hardrock to stay at instead.
