What a beautiful hotel and landscape! Every employee we encountered from the front desk to the cleaning staff were all extremely polite and friendly. The 2nd shift manager (Ja) was an amazing host! The ferry ride to the parks was quick and easy and is located right at the hotel. Food offerings were delicious. Rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The pools and hot tubs were never crowded and the kids pool was graded like a beach front that allowed littles to walk into the pool with ease. They played movies at night on an outdoor screen outside by the pool area which our 8 year old loved! Staying here cut out the head aches of city walks long security lines and the stuffy crowded buses. Also, express passes were included with our hotel stay which allowed us to get on rides with limited waiting. This was truly our favorite vacation and the nicest hotel and hotel staff we’ve ever encountered! Only wish we would have stayed longer.

I was very impressed with this place! It felt like being in little Italy. The room was perfect and the amenities were actually great. The beach pool was so cool! We went on a weekend where it was in the high 60s/low 70s so the hot tub was very nice to discover! Being able to order drinks poolside felt so luxurious. The boat that brings you to universal was so convenient, that was such a nice service. Janine at the front desk deserves a raise! She was the most helpful person I have met, hands down. She helped get us our universal passes, explained everything and was just so kind. She even gave us some coupons to use around CityWalk and my husband scored a free lanyard. This place makes it hard to leave, we had such a great time!! Thank you everyone at portofino

We stayed at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel during Christmas and had a wonderful experience overall. The holiday atmosphere was festive without feeling overwhelming, and the resort felt both relaxing and special. The customer service via text was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. The front desk staff were also excellent and thoughtfully accommodated my requests as part of the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits, which I really appreciated. We especially enjoyed the Christmas Day breakfast buffet at Mama Della. There was a wide variety of options, and it felt like a nice, relaxed way to start the holiday morning. Transportation to the Universal parks was very convenient—the boat ride was quick and enjoyable, and being able to arrive without dealing with parking was a big plus. The only improvement I’d suggest is running the boats a bit more frequently, especially during peak times in the late afternoon. The Unlimited Express Pass included with the stay was by far the best overall benefit. It made a huge difference during the busy holiday season and easily justified staying at the hotel, allowing us to enjoy attractions with much less waiting. Overall, it was a memorable holiday stay with great service, excellent park access, and unbeatable perks. We would happily stay here again, especially during the holidays.

We had a great stay at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, service was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. Our family of five fit easily in a two-queen room with a rollaway. On-site food options were strong (good Starbucks, excellent gelateria, and Sal’s Market with quality Italian imports). It’s a little pricey for what you get, but that’s expected for a theme-park hotel. The water taxi was fast and convenient to Universal, CityWalk, and Islands of Adventure, and I never waited more than 15 minutes for transportation (we traveled during a winter storm, so experience may vary). The beds were exceptionally comfortable. One caution: the hotel has a heavy perfumed scent in common areas. It is pleasant, but it triggered migraines for me. Thankfully, the smell didn’t carry into the room, so I could rest and recover.

We recently stayed at the gorgeous Portofino Bay hotel in Orlando and were beyond impressed! Everything about this stunning hotel exceeded every expectation we had!! The service is incredible, the food is delicious, the beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The ferry rides straight to the front of the parks are so fun and extremely convenient and the Express passes make going to the parks a thousand times more enjoyable! We felt absolutely spoiled and I can not wait to go back!!
