Loved our stay here! We triedost of the restaurantsand everything was delicious. We found everything we needed from Powerade to cold meds in the shop on site. The Universal store on site has the cutest merch! The room was huge and very quiet. We had the most amazing view! Everyone there was so good to us. It really was paradise to us.

Loews Portofino Bay was an incredible resort. We loved the Italian inspiration. You can tell how much care they put in to keeping the grounds and buildings in immaculate condition. The piazza was a great place to spend time and enjoy tasty food and treats. The Beach Pool was perfect for families with children. We loved Mamma Dellas for the classic Italian cuisine and service. The live singing was an added bonus. It was probably our favorite meal of the trip. Gelato was delicious, and having the coffee shop for quick mornings was a bonus. Water Taxi for transportation was efficient and the boats were immaculate. We loved the rides to and from City Walk and how close Portofino was to the parks. The Early Admission and Express passes were the icing on the cake. This was our first trip to Universal and it was so relaxing compared to previous trips to Disney. We’d love to come back and highly recommend this hotel!

Overall, Portofino Bay was perfect for a theme park trip. The ease of using water taxis to city walk/US/IOA was great. Busses to EPIC were long waits. We always took an uber home from EPIC. Bedrooms were comfy and spacious. Not to mention the unlimited express at US/IOA is the greatest perk. Not sure how most do without this, I’m not built for waiting in long lines. Our biggest disappointment was the club experience. Breakfast was the same continental spread every single morning with no meats or proteins, no variety, and got really boring during a 5 night/6 day stay. Another disappointment was they removed the snacks from the club during meal service, so we were unable to grab a quick snack for our bags to eat at the parks when waiting in lines and the young ones start to fade. We are comparing our club experience to that at Animal Kingdom Disney last year, and they absolutely knocked out of the park. The diversity in food options at every meal, 24/7 snack and drink access was our expectation at Portofino Club, but wasn’t the reality. We will definitely stay at Portofino again, but most likely forgo the club option as we didn’t seem to get a decent ROI.

We had an excellent stay at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and very well located. However, the highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by Santiago at the front desk. We had an issue with our car reservation, and he went above and beyond to help us. He was extremely kind, attentive, and proactive, truly exceeding our expectations with his level of service and willingness to assist. It was a first-class experience, and his support made our stay even better. We will definitely be back!

This resort is a stunning re-creation of the famed Mediterranean seaside resort village of Portofino, Italy. The rooms capture the epitome of European luxury and elegance with authentic Italian furnishings and marble accents. The Harbor Piazza surrounds Portofino Bay, and is where you’ll find most of the dining and shopping locations. There restaurants serve authentic Italian cuisine and shops sell Mediterranean-style souvenirs. Staying in the Loews Portofino Bay Resort makes you feel like you are on a dream vacation in Italy. A massive perk of staying at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel is that each stay comes with complimentary Universal Express access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure for each person staying there. And this benefit is valid on the day of check-in and the day of check-out. Another perk is the complimentary transportation via shuttle buses or water taxi to Citywalk and to the theme parks. If you prefer to walk, there are picturesque walking paths to the parks. I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and the staff were wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
