The hotel is truly beautiful, but we all know why people choose the premium hotels at Universal Orlando — for the Express Passes for the whole family for the duration of your stay. That said, even without them, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The room was stunning, the walk to the park a real pleasure, and the boat ride delightful. However, coming from nearby Italy, I personally prefer the authentic Italian charm over this more improvised version. One unique feature of all Loews hotels at Universal Orlando is the wonderful fragrance that fills their central areas — it’s really charming and memorable.

I’m not sure we will ever stay anywhere else now when visiting Universal. Loved this hotel so much. Didn’t feel like we were in a hotel at all. Felt like a little Italian village. We would take a short walk through the piazza from our room to water transportation to the parks. It was so easy and just loved the vibe so much. Lots of good restaurants as well in close proximity to room. Easy to navigate and beautiful hotel.

This is a great hotel to vacation at. Rooms are nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff is polite. The views are good. The shops and restaurants are convenient and have good food. If I was coming back to Universal I would have to stay at this hotel again!

The room was excellent and the staff were all so pleasant. If it's the cheapest of the 3 hotels that include express pass, I'd come here again. Compared to the other two top-tier hotels on property (Hard Rock and Royal), this one feels it is missing some ambience as the detailing outside falls flat though the interior is excellent and our hotel always seemed to have a boat line where others did not. It was almost faster/ comparable to walk at 1pm than to wait on a boat, which just felt odd. I agree with sentiments of others that this place feels like a maze of stairs. The layout is just a bit odd and it is difficult to find some amenities, but not too challenging. I did enjoy my stay here and the amenities provided. I found my bay view room gorgeous and comfortable! Would I stay here again though? Only if the other 2 premiere hotels are more expensive.

Met family here for dinner, restaurants all looked similar. Meal prices seemed higher than normal resort pricing. The resort itself was nice, but as a top tier resort, it was lacking. A great example was to attain architectural depth, walls were painted to look like dementional bricks. A true high end resort would make the bricks pop out whether as actual bricks or stucco construction.
