Beautiful hotel with an amazing atmosphere and unbeatable proximity to all the entertainment spots within Universal Studios and Orlando in general. The amenities are top-notch, and the resort perfectly captures a true European vibe - from the aroma of fresh pizza to peaceful morning and late-night walks along the canal. The free boat shuttle takes you from this tranquil haven straight to the lively CityWalk that never sleeps. There’s also a convenient car rental desk on the first floor next to the reception. Accommodations are definitely on the expensive side, but this is truly a world-class location worth experiencing.

This is a great hotel to vacation at. Rooms are nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff is polite. The views are good. The shops and restaurants are convenient and have good food. If I was coming back to Universal I would have to stay at this hotel again!

The room was excellent and the staff were all so pleasant. If it's the cheapest of the 3 hotels that include express pass, I'd come here again. Compared to the other two top-tier hotels on property (Hard Rock and Royal), this one feels it is missing some ambience as the detailing outside falls flat though the interior is excellent and our hotel always seemed to have a boat line where others did not. It was almost faster/ comparable to walk at 1pm than to wait on a boat, which just felt odd. I agree with sentiments of others that this place feels like a maze of stairs. The layout is just a bit odd and it is difficult to find some amenities, but not too challenging. I did enjoy my stay here and the amenities provided. I found my bay view room gorgeous and comfortable! Would I stay here again though? Only if the other 2 premiere hotels are more expensive.

First timer. Will absolutely come again. Great atmosphere and location. Water Taxis were easily accessible. Every member of staff was kind and welcoming. Express tickets let us do everything we wanted in both parks. Overall an excellent experience. Can't wait to come back!

We stay here every year and it is always a wonderful stay. We have stayed at other hotels like the Hardrock, but not they they are not nice, they are too loud for me. The Portofino is peaceful, has great rooms, all the staff are wonderful, and the water taxi is great for getting around.
