Our stay at the Loews Portifino Bay hotel was a wonderful experience. Not only were we treated with great respect and hospitality but also the atmosphere was very welcoming. The place had a beautiful view and represented Italy in a very unique way. The customer service was very friendly and helped me with an issue that I had returning back from the trip. We had accidentally left a belonging in the room and as soon as we called the front desk, we were greeted and help from a helpful worker called Alex. He helped us ship our belonging back to Miami and was returned safely. We appreciated the stay and wonderful support from the Orlando team.

What a dream it was to stay here during the holidays! Our bay view from the 5th floor was absolutely breathtaking. They serve starbucks downstairs if the in-room keurig isn't enough for you. The 24-hour room service was so convenient. We highly recommend ordering breakfast before you hit the parks. This is our favorite Universal Orlando resort. It's the most luxurious and feels like you teleported when it's a 10 minute walk to the best theme parks around. We didn't use the pool this time, but the waterslide and rock features make it our favorite pool. The service is top notch and everyone we encountered was kind and smiling. We cannot wait to return.

I recently stayed at this resort and it was everything I hoped for in a quiet, romantic getaway. The atmosphere is peaceful from the moment you arrive, beautiful scenery, soft lighting, and a calm, intimate vibe throughout the property. The staff were warm and attentive without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel even more relaxing. Our room was spotless, cozy, and perfectly set up for a couples’ retreat. Whether we were enjoying the views, walking the grounds, or unwinding in the evening, it felt like the perfect escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reconnect and enjoy a serene, romantic vacation.

I was really unimpressed with this hotel. The photos online make it look very nice, but in person the property is in noticeably rough condition. The air conditioning barely worked, and the room itself felt a little worn. Many of the fixtures felt cheap, and most of the “architectural” details are simply painted on, which was disappointing given the price point. We tried to get the AC working the first night and eventually gave up and slept uncomfortably, assuming this was just part of being in Florida. The second day, we turned it on hours before returning—still no improvement. On the third day, we ran it from early morning, and the room was still not comfortable when we got back. For a hotel charging over $700 a night, functioning air conditioning and well-maintained amenities should be a given. When I called the front desk to address the issue and ask about a partial refund, I was told they could try to fix the AC or move to a room on the opposite side of the hotel at 11 at night, but that it was essentially on us for not calling sooner—which was frustrating and dismissive. The main appeal of this hotel is its proximity to the parks and the express passes included for some of the parks, but even those perks don’t justify the premium when the basic amenities fall short. Overall, this seriously tarnished the experience. It felt overpriced, money-grabbing, and honestly a bit gross. I’ve been excited about staying here for years and upon actually experiencing it, feel let down. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Update: on the last day we found a new friend in our room

I wish I could put into words how wonderful our vacation was for the last six days at the Portofino Bay Hotel! Every person involved in our stay was first of all excellent in their service, but also their attitudes were pleasant and you could tell that they enjoyed working at this hotel at this hotel. I’ve stayed at many five star hotels in my lifetime, but this has probably been the most comfortable and pleasant experience I’ve ever had. The food was phenomenal - especially the buffet at Thanksgiving. The entire hotel was clean and pristine. Beautiful decor!!!
