Let me start by saying that this hotel definitely deserves 5-stars, but the only reason I gave it a 4 is because of the food. I know a lot of folks loved the food, but for my wife and I, we were just disappointed that there was no traditional Dominican food options. We are folks that love our sofrito, recaito, adobo, sazon, etc. The food lacked it. As for the hotel itself, it is magical. Beautiful, clean, well maintained, comfortable, relaxing, just very enjoyable. The staff, just amazing. They exceeded our expectations. Very attentative, polite, respectful, always greets you, and would do just about anything to ensure you have what you need. Absolutely no complaints from us on that. Now, we did go during a time where there was construction going on, both outside and in the room next to us. We paid for the Fuego Suite, which has an outdoor terrace pool and just trying to enjoy it out there was hard with construction going on at a hotel next foot. In a room next door to us, they spent hours demolishing it. Shattering glass, hammering, etc. I don't want to put the blame totally on the hotel. I should messaged them to see if there was any construction going on. So, failure on my part. As for the room next door, again, we paid good money for that suite, if they knew there was going to be construction going on, maybe either offer us a different room or an upgrade at a different building in the property. Back to the food, it would be amazing if the buffet would offer traditional Dominican food. At least the option. If I wanted Mexican, I would go to Mexico. If I wanted American, I would just stay home. Give me rice and beans, some mofongo, some pollo guizado, tostones, etc. Anyways, overall, I would definitely come back and I would highly recommend it to friends and family. If no construction and better food options available, then this place would be a 6 out of 5 stars.

First of all I want to say this place is beautiful. On entering the build there is a 70's vibe but in a good way. The place is spotless and the beach is magnificent. The staff are welcoming and always friendly and are always helpful and asking if there anything they can do. The rooms are big and plenty of space, only concern if if you're a new couple the toilet door will be a shock, very little privacy. Food is always available and varied. We found the outdoor grill to be the best. One thing I will state, if they offer you the tour (time share programme), DECLINE. They will say its only an hour max but its nearly 2 hours and they will aggressively pressure you into buying into the "program" and if you refuse they pretty much push you out of the door. When you arrive if they don't offer, ask about an upgrade, they should have offered it. All that said would I come back, 100%. The Aqua punta cana is beautiful and definitely worth the trip. It's perfect if you want to relax and unwind.

Mahogane

This past weekend a few girlfriends and I went on a girls trip to celebrate a birthday. From the time we pulled up to the time we left was absolutely amazing. The bell man Adriel was great he made sure the bags were cared for, made sure we all knew where to check in and made sure he left no question unanswered. I am unsure of the housekeepers name but we stayed in Villa 5 not he 5th floor. The food was also good, for the few times we did dine at the resort. Everyday we came back to our rooms for an excursion beds were made , fridge were stocked , fresh towels were left an room was cleaned to perfection. The overall staff was great poolside, bartenders, servers etc... The only downfall of the trip was the rain however they cant control the hurricane season. We are definitely going to return to Live Aqua and highly recommend you choose this for your stay.

Still on vacation with 2 days left. Wonderful experience. The breakfast buffet is amazing, they have everything you can think of from fresh fruit to bacon, salami, bagels, pancakes, omelets, potatoes, cereals, raw local honey, mimosas and so much more. The wait staff is friendly and very accommodating. The beach is so beautiful and the property is well maintained. Beautiful flowers and very lush. The hotel had entertainment on the premises every night and a variety to suit everyone. They have a coffee shop and 8 different restaurants. All inclusive is the way to go. They have thought of everything! I’m definitely returning next year. Best vacation ever!! Oh and definitely check out the spa. I had a body scrub and hot stone massage. So so wonderful.

My boyfriend and I just spent 5 nights at Live Aqua Punta Cana (my second visit, his first) and we are already planning our return. This resort is everything we love about an all-inclusive but on a more intimate, boutique scale. It’s adults-only, quiet, and beautifully designed. The property is new, spotless, and modern, with gorgeous landscaping and multiple pools spread across the grounds. We especially appreciated how many umbrellas and shaded areas there are, it made relaxing outside so comfortable. Every pool was amazing and never too busy, so you can be social near the activity pool or slip away to somewhere peaceful. The swim-up bar and poolside service were fantastic, and the spa was wonderful too. Dining was a highlight. There are so many restaurants to choose from plus 24-hour room service, and everything we tried was amazing, a big step above typical all-inclusive food. Service throughout the resort was consistently warm and professional, and we have to give a special shout-out to our waiter, Dario, who went above and beyond to make our meals feel special. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful. After two stays I can confidently say Live Aqua is the perfect balance of luxury, tranquility, and great amenities. I can not find another resort like it, it is my all time favorite! If you’re looking for a modern adults-only boutique resort with incredible food, multiple pools, and excellent service, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!
