Our stay at Lion Sands River Lodge was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the exceptional staff made us feel like royalty. The accommodations were breathtaking, offering unparalleled comfort and luxury. We could even spot elephants and other fascinating wildlife right from our room—a true bucket-list experience! The game drives were absolutely incredible. We encountered a array of wildlife, including leopards, elephants, zebras, rhinos, crocodiles, giraffes, and hyenas. Our tracker, Andres, was straight out of an adventure film and had a wonderful rapport with my 10-year-old nephew, making the experience even more memorable. While the overall experience was extraordinary, the only area with room for improvement was the food. With just a bit more culinary magic, this place would be perfect!

Staying at Lion Sands River Lodge was a breathtaking experience, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the South African bush. The lodge's luxurious accommodations, complete with private decks overlooking the Sabie River, provided a serene and immersive connection to nature. Each day began with exhilarating game drives, where we witnessed the majestic Big Five in their natural habitat. The staff's warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel like cherished guests, enhancing the sense of exclusivity. As the sun set, dining under the star-lit sky, accompanied by the sounds of the wild, was an unforgettable highlight of our stay.

Spending my weekend at Lion Sand River lodge was so amazing. The place is to die for. The staff there was very friendly and humble, they made sure you don’t get to complain about anything. They were so welcoming, the room was very nice with everything you need, the food was so lovely and the safari guide (Gus and Noel) were so amazing, they made sure we enjoy our tour. You just get to experience home away from home.

My husband and I did 3 nights here for our honeymoon in January 2024. We Loved our experience here. We really enjoyed having Cruz and Lloyd with us on the game drives. They were so friendly, professional and educational. They made us feel calm, safe and always smiling. They really went the extra mile in our opinion. The food was incredible and very appreciated as well as the cleanliness of our room every time we walked in - and always fully stocked with the mini bar drinks! We absolutely loved the barbeque on our last night, the food, dancing and looking at the stars in the dark there was incredible. The only sad part was that we did not get a chance to book the treehouse for a night - that was my fault for not having done it in advance. Overall, we would love to come back soon & will definitely recommend to friends!

One of the highlights of our stay was the unforgettable bush dinner under the vast African sky.
