Just about to leave after a lovely week's stay here. Slightly out of the way location wise, but this didn't affect us as we didn't mind the walk or the bus into Lindos (which is right outside hotel on a sometimes busy road, not overwhelmingly so) Exceptionally clean, friendly staff, beautiful grounds with nice foliage. Nearest beach is about a 10min walk to get to Navarone Bay, which is quite desolate compared to the well known ones in Lindos. Great for snorkeling though. Good selection of food, and sunbeds always available around pool. Recommended for a quiet getaway not far from Lindos.

We spent 2 weeks at Lindos Sun from the end of May into early June 2023, and we absolutely loved our time there. The hotel is beautiful, the layout and design emulates the design of a traditional village in many ways. The grounds and public areas (including the pool) are immaculately maintained, and the jasmine arches by the pool are very charming. Its setting at the base of the hill is great, the hillside is lit up at night for a really lovely effect. We had a sea view room with a great view towards 'Navarone Bay' and the headland. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. I was a big fan of the hotel's location. It's a 15 minute walk to the edge of Lindos town, and probably 25 minutes to the far side where the main Lindos beach is. It's on a reasonable gradient going into the town, so if you're of a less hardy disposition or don't cope well with the heat, I'd recommend getting the bus or a taxi into the town during the heat of the day. There are bus stops each direction very handy to the hotel, basically just outside the entrance. We really enjoyed our walks. The hotel breakfast was brilliant, there was a really good selection and it was all very tasty. We generally ate in Lindos for our evening meals, but the two hotel buffet dinners were good (we preferred the breakfast though). The food from the poolside bar was good too. We loved our stay, and would definitely return for another visit.

Here at the moment staying. The staff make this place 10/10 for me. Food is good, room well cleaned by housekeepers ❤️. Bus only a short journey to either Lindos town or Pefkos, where we stayed previously. Pool is decent and well maintained, like the rest of hotel and the grounds. No rush for sunbeads as plenty around, and it's nice and quiet.

Just stayed at Lindos Sun for 1 week Half board. We found the hotel basic but very nice, relaxed, and very clean. The staff are all very helpful and polite. The breakfasts and evening meals are lovely although, simple things like getting a cup of coffee on a morning can be a challenge due to low staff levels, also what is it with the absence milk, is it rationed?. You can sit at your table for 10-15 mins without being offered a cup of coffee some mornings. Coffee needs to be on display so we can help ourselves. (That was my pet hate lol) I also feel the hotel should at least be providing water with the evening meal. Not charging 2.5 euros for a bottle. It’s a small fee but it adds up over the week. I’ve paid for half board and I need at least water with meals included! The first room we were allocated was way too small so we asked to be moved into a more spacious room, this was sorted the very next day so that was fine. Lindos sun hotel is a bit of a walk from the Lindos old town, taxis cost at least 10 euros. I’d recommend getting a car or scooter to get about, or budget for another 20 euros a day at least to get to snd from town. The pool area is basic but again very clean, and relaxed. This is not the ideal hotel to be taking kids, This hotel is perfect for couples wanting a relaxed quiet stay, with breakfast and evening meal, that is priced accordingly as it is situated slightly out the way. All in all we had a great stay with some minor niggles so I docked a star.

Today is our last day at this hotel. Although our overall stay was satisfactory for the most part I doubt we will be returning back here again. On arrival around 1am we were dropped off on the road outside the hotel. Reception isn't very well signed coming into the place in the dark for the first time. Upon arriving at reception and getting the checking in formalities out of the way we were then asked for a €150 security deposit which we could put on a credit card in case of any room breakages. Good job I had mine with me isn't it ! Never known it anywhere before now so be aware it is expected. As a middle aged couple at a hotel well away from resort centers I have no idea how they thought we might deliberately or otherwise decide to damage our room. We were taken to our room having to lump both our hand luggage and cases up 3 flights of stairs, along a corridor then down another flight to get to our room. Bear in mind it's around 1.30am local time and we had been travelling all day. Not a good start. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. What it lacked was storage space. Safe to small to store a tablet in it. The room towels were very good along with the towels provided at reception for use at the pool or beach. Breakfast each day there is a wide variety of breads, fruits, breakfast cereals and items to make up a cooked breakfast. Teaspoons on the tables to stir your coffee and tea tend to be a bit hit and miss tho. The waiting staff are helpful, friendly and courteous once you get to know them as is the daytime receptionist. At the poolside there is a beautiful pool overlooking across to Navarone Bay. Pity the Seaview you had will be gone by next season as they are building new Villas directly across the road from the hotel that will eventually completely block the view there was. Lunch at the poolside bar the portions they serve are very good and plenty of it. A club Sandwich is enough for 2 people the size of it. The hotel is in a bit of an isolated spot outside Lindos. There is a cheap to use half hourly bus service to Lindos and Pefkos. Lindos is close enough to walk it up the hill if it isn't too hot out. There is also an ATM situated there as well should you need one. Why it was put there rather than in reception god only knows. The evening bar at the hotel was a disappointment to us tho. On no less than 3 nights we requested hot drinks after our evening meal only to be told they had no milk. Same if you would like a hot chocolate drink rather than a cold drink. Very hit and miss. Unsure if it was just the bar mans reluctance to do it despite there being a hot drink machine there or if he just couldn't be bothered to do it. This along with the location and the fact that it's a tricky place for people that may have disabilities. I strongly recommend hiring a car if staying here. They charge for parking at Lindos now though. So he aware. It is a 4 star hotel but in certain things they let the place down hence why I only gave it a 3 star rating.
