Linda’s Royal is a decent hotel. Needs a little upkeep. Buffet food is good you will not be disappointed. Resort is a short distance from Lindos town. Local bus and taxi available. Night entertainment ok, better than most I would say. The health spa is the best part. Treatments are very good and the staff are really nice. Local boat trips available, we used captain Visalis which was really good. Stopped off in Hiraki for lunch which was good. Lots of eating places. Not much to do outside of the hotel. Lindos town is best for that.

They call themselves a five-star hotel — I wouldn’t even give them three on a generous day. We’d booked rooms next to our relatives, but upon arrival, the receptionist announced — ever so cheerfully — that they were three floors up. When we asked why, she mumbled something about the room being taken, despite our booking saying otherwise. Then she just stood there, silent as a church mouse, as if that would somehow make it all go away. Soundproofing? Don’t make me laugh. You can hear every sneeze, cough, and argument from down the corridor. Cleanliness clearly isn’t high on their list either — it looks like the housekeeping staff packed up and went on holiday months ago. And the dining hall… well, calling it a “buffet” is a stretch. Unless you fancy living on bacon and what I can only describe as scrambled eggs that had clearly given up on life, you’d be better off nipping to the nearest café. All in all, it’s less “luxury getaway” and more “cheap weekend gone wrong.” Avoid unless you enjoy disappointment served lukewarm.

Lindos Royal Resort We recently enjoyed a week-long stay at Lindos Royal. Overall, the view and location were exceptional, providing a truly memorable backdrop for our holiday. While the stay was highly enjoyable in many respects, I felt compelled to offer balanced feedback on areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement. Areas of Excellence Culinary Experience (Food): The food was absolutely amazing, and give full marks to the chef and the entire kitchen team. We particularly recommend that future guests make a reservation to the themed restaurant, as the quality of the food there was extremely good. Exceptional Staff Member (Tommy): A special and enthusiastic mention must be given to Tommy. He was super helpful, demonstrated 100% customer care, and made us feel like truly valued guests. There was nothing he couldn't fix, and he is a real asset to the hotel. Cleaning Staff: The cleaning staff were consistently hard-working and very friendly, always greeting us warmly. Areas for Improvement Restaurant Staff Welcoming: In contrast to the cleaning staff, we observed that the main restaurant staff could be more friendly and welcoming, particularly as guests enter the dining area. Being greeted with a smile makes such a huge difference to the dining experience. We suggest staff be encouraged to make eye contact and offer a welcoming gesture to all guests. Safety Hazard (Pool Bar Tiles): A note of warning regarding safety: Please beware of the tiles by the pool bar, as they can get very slippy when wet. This poses a safety risk that we feel needs immediate attention. 5-Star Status Assessment: While the experience was largely positive, we are unsure if the current service level fully warrants the 5-star status. Some internal and service improvements are needed to elevate the experience to that level consistently. Thank you for providing a beautiful location for our holiday.

We have been back from the lindos royal 6 days now, I've been thinking about this review, but still not sure where to start !! I actually think I'm being generous with 2 stars . 1 star is for the bar staff and 1 for the food, and thats being generous . All the money has been spent in reception and lobby bar, the rest of this place has been left to rot ! €115 euro tourist tax on check in is not good to kick off i know it has to be paid but I've never paid €115 before, anywhere !! To start , our room (1202 ) our faces dropped when we opened the door, it was so small. ( if you are still reading, I would put the kettle.on ! ) bed , desk and that was it . The door to the tiny balcony didn't lock, our view was ocross the reception roof, which was a mess, and if we sat on the balcony with curtains open, everybody who used the corridor from the lifts can see straight into your room. Plus, from the corridor you could walk out onto the roof and climb over onto our balcony. The air conditioning sounded like a jet plane about to take off so couldn't have it on during the night. And the pillows are probably the worst I have ever put my head on, after the first night I used a folded blanket all week ! Them pillows must have come from a Turkish market , 5000 for 10 euros !. All the tv channels are in German apart from bbc news for some reason . On day 3 the ants arrived on the desk , and wouldn't leave, there was a 2.inch gap under the door so the room lit up all night. And it took my wife 3 days , 4 visits to reception dealing with 3 different people just to get a hairdryer ! Which the manager insisted was in our room, until she came up herself and realised it wasn't, just 3 rawl plugs in the wall where it should be. We had a corner shower cubicle, but no doors on it so the floor got soaked, which meant after 2 showers you then couldn't use the bathroom without getting wet feet. The only place to get a drink is 2 outdoor pool bars, day or night. the lobby bar , the only indoor bar, you have to pay for !! Beer is served in small.plastic cups, half froth half beer, cheap crap too. 1 day you couldn't get beer in 1 bar, the next day we couldn't get coffee in the other bar, not 5 star service. 1 night we paid for drinks in the lobby bar, my can of guinness was warm and came in an Ice cream sundae glass .! ( no joke ) The only place you can really go is into lindos for any decent night life, which varies from €10 - €15 euro each way in a taxi. As said the food is ok, but after 4/5 days we were just fed up of the same repetitive stuff. And when the dining area is closed there is no easy access to outdoor areas. The toilets in the hotel are cleaned regularly by the freindly philipino woman, but urinals had black bags over them all week, no locks on cubicle.doors and doors that didnt even open without hitting the bowl, then you have to squeeze in ! The pool areas are OK but the further you look around the grounds the more neglected it is , the private bit that goes down to the sea is a derelict dumping ground for.old parasols and sunbeds and smells.of sewage. The actual beach which the hotel claims is theirs, is 100/150 m away, down some steps they advise not to use because they aren't safe, it's a pebble beach which I could live with, but it's dirty ! Not looked after because it makes them no money. Half the sunbeds are broken , there are toilets but you have to pay to use. And nowhere to get a drink, unless you walk all the way back up to the hotel pool bar ! On our last day we got to use a shower room for 30 mins, that room was miles better than ours , big room good shower ( with door ) We spoke to quite a few couples who had the same experience as us and quite a few unhappier than us, for the amount of money they charge here it really should be better, and with all the choices available, we will never return. Considering its all inc, we spent twice as much money making sure we spent most of our time outside the hotel , Rhodes is nice but this hotel is not ! I wouldnt go back here for a week.even if it was free.

Overall ok. I'm usually not one for leaving just so-so comments. The hotel didn't wow us. Firstly we booked a swim up room with a garden view and was given the room opposite the children's play area and not the garden view. The room it's self was just ok. There was no working light in the shower, there was black mold along the wall near the bed. The room smelt damp and the air-conditioning didn't work. On the up side house keeping was great and speedy. The entertainment for the evening wasn't great and we stayed as far away as possible. The pool tables didn't have all the balls and one was out of order. The staff on the bar were friendly and polite even when you got the wrong drink from time to time. The bar under the food hall staff was rude. Breakfast was just ok compared to lunch and dinner. The one restaurant they had is split and the food there was amazing. Best thing about the place. Gym... nothing really there and broken equipment. We made the best of it and still had a blast. Would definitely recommend the area and the town just not the hotel. I don't believe the stars rating is right for this hotel.
