The beach is amazing and the hotel provides everything you need. However, there is one major problem. People who come here want to experience the beach in a natural way, i.e., no jet skies or motorboats, no vendors, no crowds and no music. People come here to *escape* all that. Le Méridien play loud music on the beach! AND they have jet skies, with horrible looking buoys in the water. Why can't you just let the guests have some peace and quiet without destroying nature all the time? Take the buoys and ropes out, let us hear the sound of the ocean and enjoy the sunset with quiet. If people want to party, they can go to Patong, or book out the hotel for a wedding party without interrupting the other guests. A final point: maybe the staff (e.g. security) can make themselves more useful if they are strolling the beach, by removing washed up jellyfish, or bottles etc. I understand the beach is cleaned on a daily basis, but it is good to see to its upkeep. Luckily there are not many jellyfish here. Taking them out whenever you see them is good though, since they are a pest and too numerous all over Phuket.

Whenever I visit Phuket, I usually stay at the Le Meridien, not because of the hotel itself (very dated), but because I really enjoy their private beach — it’s clean, has light waves, and is perfect for those who like a bit of movement in the sea. It’s not a surfing beach, but it’s also not ideal for small children, as the water can be a little strong. The beach remains the best part of the hotel. However, this time I was disappointed. I paid the same rate as always, but the hotel is currently under renovation. You pay the full price but only get half of the facilities. Half of the pools are closed, and only one of the four restaurants is open — and that one is a temporary setup, since the others are being renovated. At no point during the booking process was it mentioned that the hotel was under renovation. The rooms are also quite dated and clearly in need of refurbishment. To be honest, the InterContinental and the Marriot nearby are a much better hotels overall — newer, more elegant, and far better maintained, but they don't have the Le Meridien’s beach. That said, the staff remains one of the strongest points of the hotel. The front desk team is very friendly and welcoming, and the spa and restaurant staff is also exceptionally kind and professional. One final suggestion for the management: since you’re already renovating, please replace the hair dryers — they look and feel like toy dryers.

I rarely give 5 star to a hotel these days but this was an exception. Recently concluded my amazing stay at this phuket resort and enjoyed every bit of it from location to its near perfect hospitality. Regarding location this is a perfect location as it is very close to busy patang beach yet perfectly secluded. It has private clam beach to relax and nice morning walk. Amazing large and clean pools, beach activities and sports facility. Above all I feel the service was outstanding. Very nice people. They greeted us with nice welcome gift and departed us with nice departure gift. We were leaving airport at 5 AM so made sure to pack our breakfast. That was highlight of Hospitality. They pay attention to every little detail. I definitely go back again.

What a lovely hotel. Great location with lovely rooms and great features to enhance your room experience. The food was good value for money with an enormous selection of cuisine at breakfast. The staff are so friendly and efficient. It is right on a secluded, soft sanded beach with great views.

We had a great stay at the LeMeridien - the staff were great and kind, rooms were new (I think recently renovated). The real highlight was the private beach and how easy it was to access … the food was great as well and lots of live cooking stations. Really recommend but not sure if the prices are 100% justified because parts of the hotel is outdated.
