Whenever I visit Phuket, I usually stay at the Le Meridien, not because of the hotel itself (very dated), but because I really enjoy their private beach — it’s clean, has light waves, and is perfect for those who like a bit of movement in the sea. It’s not a surfing beach, but it’s also not ideal for small children, as the water can be a little strong. The beach remains the best part of the hotel. However, this time I was disappointed. I paid the same rate as always, but the hotel is currently under renovation. You pay the full price but only get half of the facilities. Half of the pools are closed, and only one of the four restaurants is open — and that one is a temporary setup, since the others are being renovated. At no point during the booking process was it mentioned that the hotel was under renovation. The rooms are also quite dated and clearly in need of refurbishment. To be honest, the InterContinental and the Marriot nearby are a much better hotels overall — newer, more elegant, and far better maintained, but they don't have the Le Meridien’s beach. That said, the staff remains one of the strongest points of the hotel. The front desk team is very friendly and welcoming, and the spa and restaurant staff is also exceptionally kind and professional. One final suggestion for the management: since you’re already renovating, please replace the hair dryers — they look and feel like toy dryers.

I recently stayed at Le Meridien Phuket and it was a brilliant experience. The resort has a charming vintage style, yet everything is kept in very good condition. The swimming pools are large and perfect for relaxing, and the private beach makes the stay feel quite special. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy, such as tennis, a well-equipped fitness centre, and various beach activities. It’s a great place whether you want to stay active or simply relax. The food is excellent, and breakfast offers a wide selection with plenty of choice for all tastes. The service throughout the hotel is outstanding. Every member of staff is polite, helpful, and professional. Housekeeping is also very active and keeps the rooms spotlessly clean, which really adds to the comfort of the stay. I was especially impressed that the General Manager takes the time to greet guests personally and check that everything is in order. Overall, the hotel was even better than I had expected. With its beautiful setting, wide range of activities, delicious food, excellent housekeeping, and first-class service, it is a wonderful place to stay in Phuket. I would be very happy to return.

I’ve stayed at the le meridian mai khao for a Summit and had a wonderful short stay experience. Hotel seaside atmosphere was splendid. I don’t need to go outside, also did not have time .View from the room was so refreshing –pool –garden- sea. Staff impressed me with their warm and attentive service. Breakfast spread (for vegetarians) was quite limited but it’s okay. There was a chef from India (I do not know his name;) he was very helpful during lunch time like explaining the dishes etc. Overall experience was very good. Property is near airport and 1.5 hr. away from a city.

You feel true Hospitality the moment you step foot into the vicinity, from entrance, front office reception, restaurant, pool area and to your room, you're very well greeted with the sincere and warmth smile. Property is very well maintained right up to the Beach, even though there will construction on one side of the property. (only once saw a beach instructor easing off at the construction side, back facing the sea, with hotel Guest in the beach, hope management can address accordingly) Worth every penny spent, pampering once self for a good vocation.

A nice resort, uniquely beautiful green architecture. They service very tasty food (especially the ton-son been burger) and staff are friendly. The gym is open 24hrs which is convenient. The resort offers a free shuttle to the nearby shopping mall, and the breakfast is delicious and is open until 11:00AM. However, our room (Mali Wing Ocean view) had many ants for some reason and didn’t have a bathtub. Recommended.
