Our stay at Le Méridien Maldives was nothing short of fantastic. We spent five nights here after exploring some local islands (which we highly recommend doing first!). Even before checking in, the Le Méridien team was super helpful—assisting us with logistics when we landed, even though we weren’t heading straight to the resort. That level of care continued throughout our stay. We didn’t book the half- or full-board options because we follow a vegetarian/vegan diet, and those set menus didn’t quite fit our needs. But after just one meal at Turquoise, all our worries disappeared. Chef Devon and the culinary team blew us away—every dish was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. They happily customized meals for us (soups, stir-fries, dumplings, you name it), and the breakfast selection was also excellent. Honestly, we didn’t even bother trying other restaurants—Turquoise was that good! Special thanks to Puja, the Assistant Front Office Manager, who helped us choose Le Méridien even before booking. She made us feel confident we were making the right decision—and we absolutely did. The room, gym (with ocean views!), and overall vibe were all on point. The only minor note is that when it rains, some activities get canceled—it’d be nice to have a few indoor options like a cooking class or games. But that’s just a small suggestion. If you’re thinking of visiting and have dietary needs, don’t hesitate. This team gets it, and they’ll take great care of you. We left feeling relaxed, well-fed, and already planning our next trip back. 🌴💛

We had an amazing time here, it is a five-star resort with exceptional service at every encounter. Noting here a few things for people researching the resort and considering what to book. First, the food was truly exceptional. We had the all-inclusive option, but in 6 days we never ate a full lunch. We sleep in, and the enormous buffet breakfast ran until 11 which kept us nourished until the late afternoon. The cafe and adult pool bar also had afternoon nibbles when needed. If we went back, I'd choose the breakfast and dinner option, also because we didn't have more than 1-2 drinks a day. Second, we had a beach villa with a garden pool. Our neighbors had the beach pool. In chatting with them, we both agreed the pool was not needed (and we were there in July during very hot weather) with crystal clean ocean water at a cool 81 degrees only steps away. The only upside to a garden pool might be for those who want to plunge au naturale... but if we go back, I'd skip the pool suite altogether. Third, the rooms - including over-water villas- are all well constructed of solid concrete materials, including the roof. Blissfully quiet with the doors closed. I note this because many other hotels use wood frame construction or thatch roofs - so honeymoon couples in the suite next door or waves slapping against the pillars below over-water villas can cause noise concerns. Fourth, many of the rooms, including ours, located the shower and sink in an outside area. This was my least favorite part of the resort and I would choose a different option next time. Finally, we found this to be a relaxing resort, but wished there were mid-day fitness activities. Yoga was only offered at sunrise or sunset, and main exercise classes wrapped by 9am. Some other activities that were advertised to us (an evening salsa class, a greenhouse tour, daily afternoon open house in the marine center), disappointingly did not take place. A big draw for us was the possibility of painting classes advertised on their website (make your own souvenir!), but the artist was on vacation during the time we were there so this was not available. They should cross-train another staff member so when the artists is away, at least they could offer one class a week to paint a turtle or whatever.

A Dream Come True: 8 Days of Pure Magic✨️ My boyfriend and I just had the most relaxing and exotic vacation we have ever taken. The resort's incredible service, stunning natural beauty, and delicious food exceeded all our expectations. Even though we traveled during the monsoon season, the weather was perfect. Arrival and Our Villa The experience was seamless from the moment we arrived at Malé airport. A representative took us at the Le Méridien lounge and in just 30 minutes, we were on board. Upon landing, we were greeted with music and a welcome from our personal Guest Services Agent, Maadh. His passion and genuine desire for our satisfaction were visible in every interaction. He was always there when we needed him, managing our daily schedule perfectly. We truly hope to see him again! We stayed in a Sunrise Overwater Villa, which was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean was a magical way to start each day. During the full moon, we loved sitting on our private deck, looking at the moon and a sky full of stars. The bathroom was also incredible, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that offered a spectacular view of the ocean. Housekeeping A special mention goes to our amazing housekeeper, Bimit. We don't know how many times a day he stopped by, but our room was always perfectly clean and tidy. We were constantly delighted by his beautiful handwritten notes and the thoughtful touches he added. Activities and Excursions There were so many things to do that we didn't have time for everything on our list. We loved using the resort's bikes to explore the island, which gave us the flexibility to move around without waiting for a buggy. A small suggestion would be to add lights to the bikes for safety at night. The snorkeling was impressive even right near the beach. The clear blue water was full of vibrant marine life, including colorful fish, sharks, and stingrays. The jet ski excursion was a major highlight. We got to swim with sharks and ride alongside a pod of dolphins. A special thank you to Hady, Sun, Yaante, and Mifu for arranging our activities. We regret not having time for the local island tour and will be sure to do it on our next visit! Dining and Restaurants The food was outstanding, but the Japanese restaurant, Tabemasu, was a definite favorite. The sushi was some of the best we've ever had. A big thank you to Barath! Breakfast and dinner at Turquoise felt like coming home. The team there is like family, and they went above and beyond to make us feel special every single day. We are so grateful for their hospitality. Special thanks to Chef Nikki for the amazing Asian dishes. Abhishek and Supun, your team is absolutely incredible! Supun, thank you for arranging the back-of-house and greenhouse tours. A huge thank you to Abby, Erma, Mauch, Amir, and Symon. We miss you all so much; your smiles and positive energy made our days so special. The Spa The overwater glass floors during our massages were a brilliant idea, allowing us to see the fish and even sharks swimming below. We want to thank Rinchen, Lisa, Sree, and Nabeel for their incredible treatments. We also need the recipe for that delicious welcome shot! This was a unique and truly unforgettable vacation, blending the stunning natural beauty of the island and its marine life with the warmth and exceptional service of the staff. We cannot wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and understated luxury that truly made our anniversary trip simply blissful. A delightful surprise awaited us upon check-in – an upgrade to an ocean villa with a sunset view. This was an absolute treat! Waking up to the turquoise expanse of the Indian Ocean and witnessing breathtaking sunsets from our private deck became a cherished part of our daily routine. The villa itself was beautifully appointed, offering both privacy and stunning vistas. One of the highlights of our culinary experience was undoubtedly our time spent at Velaa. I have vegetarian dietary requirements, and I was so incredibly touched by the exceptional service provided by the chef, Pradeep. He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs with such warmth and genuine kindness. Not only did he ensure there were delicious vegetarian options available, but he also offered to create something special off the menu, which was truly appreciated. His attentiveness and care made our dining experiences at Velaa truly memorable. The resort also made our anniversary feel incredibly special. We were greeted in our villa with a lovely message on our bed, along with a thoughtful bottle of Prosecco and a delicious cake. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, ensuring our every need was met with a smile. Our trip to The Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa was an unforgettable experience. The stunning location, the exceptional culinary care from Chef Pradeep, and the thoughtful anniversary gestures all contributed to a truly relaxing and simply blissful getaway.
