Five star service, location and rooms. The rooms are spacious, the property overlooks the waterfront and is very near the night market. The buffet breakfast and dinner options at the secret recipe were many and the food tasty. The exec lounge offers fantastic views of the waterfront and aircraft landing in KK airport. But what marks the property are the people led by their General Manager Suresh Ramasamy, Brian, Regina and Rocky among others. Their smiles are genuine, the desire to please is earnest and they personify the Sabahan and Malaysian hospitality. I could write a long review but let me just say that people make any hotel and in that, Le Meridien is the best. The tours suggested helped us experience KK to the max. Thank you Suresh and team for a great wonderful holiday experience.

Stayed at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu and had a really nice experience. The place is comfortable and relaxing. Must try the gelato choclate ice cream by Latitude 05! My favourite, really good. The club lounge has a beautiful ocean view but went there when it was raining. Overall a pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

Staying at this hotel because of Marriott Bovoy and Heidi A and team gave me the best checkin I ever had. That was why the Five stars. This is an aging hotel in the tropic and things may not work so well in the room. Not sure how much water and electricity they wasted in the leaking toilet and noisy AC. I bought my own santizer for the toilet stains. Be careful with the the water faucets; u may get very hot water that burn you skin. They have a nice tour desk.

Fabulous. The front desk staff were very accommodating and professional. Special thank you to Kaison Liew and Cedric for going above and beyond. Anna Wong's warm and bubbly nature made our daily breakfast dining experience an absolute pleasure. The concierge team were also superb. We will be back.

One of the best Marriot Group hotel in Borneo. Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu was a truly enjoyable experience, combining comfort, hospitality, and a stunning seaside atmosphere. The hotel’s location is ideal — right in the heart of the city and just across from the Philippines Market and waterfront, offering beautiful sunset views over the South China Sea. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to help with local recommendations. The room was amazingly spacious, clean, and tastefully designed, with modern amenities and a comfortable bed that made for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the complimentary bottled water and quality toiletries. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, featuring a wide variety of international and local dishes, all fresh and well-prepared. The pool area and fitness centre were well-maintained, offering a great place to unwind after a day exploring the city or nearby islands. Overall, Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu provided a perfect balance of luxury and local charm. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sabah — it delivers excellent service, convenience, and memorable hospitality.
