Let me start location is excellent, wind was not a problem at all, only clouds were, this is the north after all. The GOOD: - We opted for a premium room on the highest floor, which was wonderful. No neighbors upstairs. - The premium breakfast was also incredible with a dedicated waiter, a menu and a separated area from the crowded main restaurant. - The pool was on the cold side, but we hadn’t really used it anyways. Always on the move. It was fine for reading later afternoon. - Room was very spacious, amenities were replaced every day as well as the free minibar coming with Premium. The NOT so good: - The floor is very cold, as it has no carpet, hence neighbors moving furniture could be heard all over the hotel…as well as through the door. We didn’t stay at the hotel much intraday, but I would think relaxing is a bit complicated given the noises. - Restaurant is noisy and a little cramped on the main part. - Rooms have single glazed windows, so even on the fifth floor with closed doors you could easily hear children shouting at the pool and people talking loudly at night in the open-air bar. Fortunately seemed that after 23:00 it was curfew. We didn’t regret choosing this hotel as 10 out of 9 points it was wonderful, but it missed that tiny extra comfort level because these things :)

Congratulations to your staff for providing us a memorable experience we will never forget. The quality was great for an all included concept . The staff was kind, professional, helpful. My daughter lost a tooth and they helped me out with the tooth fairy. Entertainment was amazing. Having a laundry room was great . I felt pampered and at home . Overall I'd definitely recommend and repeat the experience at this hotel .

The hotel looks very grand on top of a huge hill and this is the first problem if you want to go for a walk to a bar or restaurant or shop then it's a trekking ordeal. They have a shuttle bus onto Puerto de la Cruz but this only operates until 6 pm on week days. Earlier on weekends. Also it does smell of diesel. There are some really nice areas in the hotel. pools are good and plenty of loungers. poolside bar is good. There's a small gym in a separate building well kept and air conditioned with a few pieces of good equipment. There is a nice pool table but we found it impossible to get a game. More needed. Rooms are spacious and probably looked good at one time but could do with refurbishment and there are a few areas like that. They are cleaned every day though. Mountain view is basically a busy motorway area with hills behind but it can be noisy on the balcony. Windows keep the sound out though. There is a TV in the lounge area and a smaller one in the main bedroom. Great if you like Spanish TV but only BBC news and Sky news otherwise. Because you are largely confined then the restaurant and board becomes the most important thing. The food could be so much better as they have some aspects almost perfect. Cold food and dessert you cannot fault. Cooked food is a disaster. Bland, unappetising and badly cooked. I had a partially cooked pork steak which was prepared in front of me and my daughter had a chicken leg with red in the centre. some meats were too tough. in the end we started making sandwiches from baguettes and the cold meat and cheese for our meals. We went half board. For breakfast you have hot drinks juices and water all fine. Evening meal you can only drink water... We were confronted and told we needed to pay for soft drinks on self service unless you are all inclusive. To me this is unacceptable since half board should mean everything whilst eating your evening meal. We bought an all inclusive drinks package which costs 20 euros per person per day for the rest of the holiday and that was OK. Most staff were very nice apart from the ones that confronted us in front of other people which was quite embarrassing, but i suppose you have to take the rough with the smooth. I would not go back to the hotel and would only recommend it if you have a car and can eat elsewhere. Puerto de la cruz is an interesting place but does have a lot of cloud from the high hills so that may be an issue for some.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience. The cleanliness was impeccable, making the stay very comfortable. The food was delicious, offering a variety of options that catered to different tastes. The location was convenient. The view from the hotel was simply amazing, adding to the overall charm of the place. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay.

We came as a family and despite the nice view, beautiful garden/pool area and friendly staff we wouldn’t return.First, we felt it was bad value for money. Our room was very worn. And the dinner buffet was terrible. So much choice and yet l, besides the boring but decent salad buffet and the always fresh and big fruit choice, not a single dish that tasted well. Second, the exposed location on top of a high hill has the drawback that it windy and cold. So at least in the cooler times of the year the pool becomes useless. And you need the car for anything.
