I’m rating 4 stars out of 5, only because of the misleading pictures used on booking sites. We were attracted to the ‘Standard room, with view’ which we initially booked. The room did not have a view at all and was not refurbished we found out eventually. We took a lot of effort finding a property with a separate bedroom for our 2 year old because of his afternoon nap. Las Gaviotas had it, this was the one. Our appointed room didn’t seem like anything as shown on the pictures. An easy fix was in hand reach for additional € 20,- per night. Brand new and refurbished room, more spacious, view on semi Olympic pool, but no separate room. We wanted our holiday to be comfortable as possible, so we took the room even though it didn’t have a separate bedroom. Besides this our stay was wonderful and felt as our second home. Very comfortable with all needed amenities. Extremely friendly and tentative staff. Some points for improvements: Kettle and coffee machine to make stay even more comfortable. More storage space in the rooms, currently it’s very little. Sound proofing of doors and hallway to the rooms. Meals are overly salted, that could be less. Coffee at the pool bar is terrible, that could definitely be improved. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. Seems like I have a lot of points to complain about but we would definitely recommend it to our friends and family and come back when visiting the island again. 🫰🏽

The good...Generally speaking a really nice place. Nice rooms, great service and amenities and lovely food. The extras like alcohol etc are reasonably priced and typical Spanish generosity with the measures! The buffet food has fantastic variety and whilst not out and out restaurant quality (to be expected from a buffet to be fair) some if the food is really really good. You certainly won't struggle to find 4-5 things you like. And you can keep going back for more as often as you like. Not great for the waistline! The pool offering is great. One large dedicated pool and bathing area for adults, one large pool for everyone that's full of families and kids (in a good way) plus a couple more smaller pools. There's also a gym although it seem like you didn't need to book so it's a bit of a free for all. The spa is bookable but we didn't try it out. We were able to use the spa changing/shower facilities to change prior to catching our flight home. The bad...It's not perfect. This is clearly an upgraded hotel, generally done to a high quality, but with some weird design choices! The bathroom/toilet for example is separated from the bedroom with a large wooden sliding door. It looks really nice but doesn't actually close! There's a big 4-5 inch gap! It's fine for a family with young kids but you'd be pretty shocked if you stayed there with people you weren't quite so familiar with, having to sit on the toilet in full view! We were in a family room to be fair so it's possible that this was only a quirk of this particular room type. Another issue was the sink and tap. Looks nice but totally impractical. You either get the wall & floor soaking wet or headbutt the tap. Overall it's a nice place, I would definitely return despite it's quirks.

This hotel is a paradise, the food was such a good quality (both breakfast and dinner) and the variety was excellent, I didn't get bored of it during the whole vacation. (Fresh orange juice and smoothies at breakfast everyday, different eggs styles, mallorcan corner, seafood, different kind of meat and fish, tartars, sushi ect.) The rooms are beautiful, the cleaning service was every day. Very pleasant service who even got me a kettle to the room right upon the request. It feels like an 'adult only' place - so no loud music or any animation, perfect for me, but might be not the best choice for families with kids. Two excellent swimming pools. The Alcudia beach nearby is just perfect, my favourite beach on the island. I would love to return one day!

The cleanliness and attention to detail by the housekeeping staff were truly commendable. **Poolside Bliss:** The pool bar, along with its attentive staff, provided a perfect setting for relaxation. The expansive, well-maintained swimming pools, fitness center, and spa facilities cater to guests of all preferences. **International Guest Mix:** Las Gaviotas attracts a diverse group of guests, spanning various ages and interests. Many guests come for sports activities such as cycling, making it a versatile choice. **Areas for Improvement:** While the overall experience was outstanding, there are a few areas that could be enhanced. Noise-reducing panels in the restaurant would significantly improve the dining atmosphere. Dimming the restaurant's lights during the evening would create a cozier ambiance. Adding greenery to the rooms, as well as providing a kettle and coffee machine, would enhance in-room comfort. Playing soft lounge music throughout the hotel could further contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. **Perfect Location:** The hotel's location is ideal, with a short walk to the beach and all essential amenities nearby. Additionally, the proximity to a bus stop right outside the hotel, providing access to various parts of Mallorca, is a valuable convenience. In conclusion, Las Gaviotas is a top-tier choice for a stay in Playa de Muro, Mallorca. The dedication of the staff, excellent dining options, modern accommodations, and convenient location make it a standout destination. I wholeheartedly recommend Las Gaviotas and look forward to returning in the future.

Been there for the first time. I stayed for a week and really enjoyed every moment of it. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was big enough and nicely furnished. I also enjoyed the spacious balcony and the comfy chairs on there. Not only the room itself but also all the facilities were super clean. You could see staff all the time cleaning everything very neatly. The lovely beach of Playa de Muro is a short walk of like 3 minutes away. What I also appreciated a lot was the bus stop, that is in front of the hotel. I only booked breakfast (it's from 08-10) and that was nice and not too crowded. There are bike and car rentals next to the hotel. A big supermarket (Erotik) is also around the corner. Would recommend and always come back. :)
