Unfortunately, this stay is very disappointing, especially for a 4-star hotel that seems to care a lot about its online reputation. We book our stay via Agoda for 5 nights. During the booking process, there is no option to choose a specific room or floor. Only after completing the reservation do we receive information that our room is on the ground floor. I immediately contact the hotel by email asking for a change, but I receive no reply. After arrival, we ask at reception if it is possible to move to a higher floor. We are told that changing to an upper floor costs 15 EUR per night, and that we should accept the fact that we are assigned a ground floor room. The main issue is that “ground floor” here is actually a basement. Until around 11 PM, there are constant activities directly outside our room — billiards, live performances, disco events, and groups of people. All of this noise is clearly audible inside the room. After long and exhausting days of trekking and hiking, we are currently unable to rest in the evening, as the noise continues until late. We return to reception again to explain the situation and ask for a room change due to the noise, but our request is still not accepted. It is unacceptable that guests are placed in a basement room next to entertainment areas, without prior warning and without any real attempt to resolve the issue — especially in a hotel of this standard. I am writing this review while still staying here, in the hope that the hotel will finally address the problem and offer a reasonable solution.

Our room was always spotless, the buffet was absolutely delicious (we didn’t struggle as vegetarians), and the all-inclusive offering of main-brand alcohol and cocktails was a huge plus. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and hard working. The hotel’s location and facilities are truly unmatched and stunning. The adult only pool was heaven. We loved the free regular shuttle bus too! A special mention goes to Alberto in the Bistro — he was a massive highlight of our stay. So funny, attentive, and full of great recommendations, including the most delicious local wine from La Orotava (which we’d actually visited that same day!). He made the evening feel really special and absolutely deserves recognition. The Bistro & all prices in general are incredibly fair across the hotel. The bar staff were all so fantastic, serving top-notch cocktails every time with a smile. One downside was my partner suffered an allergic rash across her body after the adult pool - although I was ok. Thankfully It did clear up in 24 hours though. She’s completely fine with Chlorine pools here in the UK, so maybe it’s some other chemical? If you have sensitive skin I would just be careful. Overall thank you for the most amazing 7 nights, we’ll definitely be coming back one day!

This hotel is a bit special. It is high up in the hillside overlooking Puerto de la Cruz. The views are stunning. The hotel covers a large area unlike most of the hotels in the town. The gardens and pool areas are very well kept and a credit to the maintenance staff. The rooms are mostly suites and have a lounge/kitchen area, bedroom and large bathroom and although they may be a little dated they are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. Dinner again has plenty to choose from with freshly cooked meat (which can be a little tough sometimes) and fish available most days. Desserts are very nice. All the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there is nowhere to really walk to and it is up a very steep hill with no shops or bars close by. There is however a free shuttle bus into town which takes about fifteen minutes but does not run in the evening. All in all this is a great hotel for a rest and a bit of sun. Very impressed 😊

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Las Águilas. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and professional. The room was comfortable, though a bit dated, and lacked some expected amenities for a four-star hotel (no coffee or tea machine, no cups or cutlery, and only one hand towel provided for two people). The TV remotes were also a bit complicated to operate. We had requested a double bed but were given twin beds instead. The breakfast was decent, but unfortunately, there was no fresh fruit juice, the orange juice tasted quite artificial. On the positive side, the parking was very convenient and easy to access.

Avoid it! It seems a fake 4 stars. Food is terrible. No taste , look nit fresh, once I have been sick. Safe box was not working. Asked to fix it. After 5 days still not fixed. Minibar is empty. No coffe or tea or any goodies in the room. Bathroom without any amenities. No slippers either. Rooms are quite large but furniture old , mattress very uncomfortable and too used. Air-conditioning seems from another century. Bathroom smeels bad. The check-in was an unpleasant experience. Lasted about 30' and in the middle the stadf answered to 4 phone calls of potential customers taht wanted to book a room. The staff spent almost 8 minute just woth one of those customers making us waiting. No welcoming at arrival. One would say the level is more in towards 2 stars class.
