Lagos De Fañabé Beach Resort

We stayed at Lagos de Fañabé from the 13th to 20th May 2026 and unfortunately had a very poor and upsetting experience. The apartment was extremely dirty on arrival and remained so throughout our stay. There were cobwebs, dead bugs, and we also saw cockroaches on several occasions. The overall cleanliness was completely unacceptable and made it impossible for us to relax at any point during our holiday. You can see the photos we have attached, there is a mysterious yellow patch I unknowingly slept on and hairs that do not belong to under the sheets. Housekeeping standards were also very poor. Floors appeared to be “cleaned” with a dirty mop, and even after cleaning the apartment still felt filthy. Our son’s socks would immediately become black from walking around, which shows how poor the hygiene level was. We have stayed in Tenerife many times before and have never experienced anything like this. Not once. We were left feeling uncomfortable and honestly quite sickened by the condition of the accommodation. There were also serious safety concerns. We were travelling with our toddler, and despite constant supervision, there were hazards that should not be present in family accommodation. The balcony wall was damaged and crumbling, with loose pieces easily coming away. Our son was able to pull material from it within seconds and put it in his mouth before we could stop him. He was also able to access a door underneath a staircase which appeared to lead to another apartment area with exposed wiring/equipment. Although there was a lock, it had been left unsecured and he was able to open it easily, which posed a serious safety risk. We also raised concerns with staff during our stay but did not feel they were taken seriously. We were offered a room move but were told it would “not make a difference, as there would be cockroaches there too” which did not give us any confidence in the standards of the property. Overall, this accommodation did not meet basic cleanliness or safety standards and was not suitable for families with young children. It significantly impacted our holiday experience and we would not return or recommend staying here. We have left our family holiday feeling absolutely disgusting and unclean. The rooms are dirty and disgusting. There was nothing pleasant about this experience, we were tense and uncomfortable throughout. Breakfast was very basic and nothing 4 star about it, we have stayed in lesser star hotels with better breakfast . If there were bugs in the apartment probably the kitchens too. We have raised our concerned again with the hotel and with booking.com for a refund as no one should be subjected to this level of filth!

Run down place, the parking is part of an old dirty shopping mall. Lifts don’t work of course., so have fun carrying the suitcases up the stairs. Place itself is nothing special but for almost 300 euro a night this is a disgrace. Places like this need to be less than 100. Especially with constructions going on. Unfriendly stuff also. And the whole area feels cheap. Bye

The resort is beautiful with great facilities and located right by the beach and promenade. The pool area is quiet and relaxing. The check in process was also very smooth and everyone was very nice to our baby boy. Would return!

Not a great experience, whilst the hotel itself is nice, upon arrival we were given conflicting advice on where and when the all inclusive items were available. The staff in the bar would stand and continue conversations before serving despite customers waiting to be served. Overall the staff in general were very disinterested in the guests. During our stay my handbag was stolen and when reported to reception I was told to go to police station. I asked if the hotel itself could review the CCTV and this was refused and I again was directed to the police station which was a taxi ride away, having had my bag stolen I had no cash to pay for this and after some back and forward eventually the hotel offered to pay for taxis. Whilst at the station I was called by a member of our group who said the bag had been found and we returned to the hotel where they asked us to pay the taxi fare back as they said I had obviously left it in the toilet. Money and perfume had been removed from the bag and the bag had been damaged. I refused to pay and refused to sign a waiver to say I was happy with the outcome as I felt the staff were very dismissive and unhelpful. I asked if the hotel could place a report as there had been a theft on their property and I was told this was a private matter and nothing to do with the hotel. Overall a very poor experience and I would not recommend this hotel.

Really love it hear. An Oasis in the middle of Costa Adeje. Rooms are in good order, clean and the breakfast is good. The location is fantastic with three private Beach clubs. Perfect holiday. Always eat out in the evening but there an on site restaurant and Bar. Nothing too much trouble and staff are very helpful.
